Hey everyone, Malcolm Gould here with the transcript for WBSW Live! Edition 9! We are without a voice again. It seems as though we are dangerously close to being dropped by 97.9X, as they are claiming we get low ratings. Whatever though, right? Because I'm here, and you're reading, so you've GOT to be interested! Anyway, here's how the show went! Gunner Hughes is our new champ, and we haven't heard from Hale Collins since Wrestlefest.
We got to see what happened after we went off the air last week. As you saw(or heard), Barry Jones won the Hardcore Championship. In a shocking twist of fate, as Jones was walking to his vehicle, he was hit with The Stryke! Adam Stryker had essentially paid Mark Lansing to meet him in the lot, and he took the Championship!
His celebration led to a huge night at a dive bar for some of us who went out with him(Torres went, and videotaped the entire thing), and Stryker almost lost the belt to somebody who isn't even on the roster...if that's even possible.
But anyway, Stryker got his revenge, and is the new Hardcore Champion!
We see Mitch Thompson right on the other side of the curtain and he sighs, getting some last minute stretching out of the way. Alex Morgan walks over to him and pats him on the back.
Morgan
You ready for action?
Thompson looks at him and nods.
Thompson
I was born ready, Alex. This guy doesn't deserve to wrestle here. He's shown me no reason whatsoever that he does. So I'm just helping to dispose of the garbage.
Morgan smiles.
Morgan
That's what I like to hear. I'll be in your corner, seeing this match from the best seat in the house.
Mitch nods as his music hits our PA system.
Mitch goes to the ring to a mixed reaction to the crowd, more cheers than boos, and Fraggle gets a few more boos than cheers. The bell rings, and Alex Morgan is sitting at ringside right next to me for this one.
The match starts quickly, Thompson throwing some huge blows Fraggle's way. He throws Fraggle into the ropes, and on Fraggle's way back, a huge Clothesline floors him. A few seconds later, Thompson is on one knee, shot after shot to Fraggle's face. He picks Fraggle up and lands a quick Suplex, then gets up and looks at Morgan, who sits next to us with the clipboard in his hand. Thompson turns around and is now behind Fraggle, who is getting to his feet. When Fraggle gets up, Thompson locks in a Full Nelson. He holds it for a few seconds while Fraggle flails around, then he drops forward, slamming Fraggle face first to the mat! He rolls Fraggle over for the cover, getting a two count.
Thompson hurries right back to his feet, and Fraggle gets up slowly this time Thompson dropping him with an Inverted DDT. Thompson now gets to the corner and leans on the turnbuckle, then gets into his signature position, leaning forward slightly, almost like a track runner. Fraggle gets up and Thompson goes for that Big Boot, but Fraggle ducks and takes out the knee!
Thompson is totally floored at this point, holding his leg, he might actually be hurt. Fraggle gets up and sees the downed big guy and sees it as a good opportunity and charges, punting Thompson in the chest, forcing him to roll over. He covers... 1... 2... But Thompson gets a shoulder up!
Fraggle gets up and Thompson pulls himself up using the ropes. Focusing on the bad knee, Fraggle spears the back of the leg, putting Thompson right back down again. Thompson gets back to his feet, but it's a wrong place-wrong time situation as Fraggle lands a sick Fraggle Rock Drop! He covers, and there's the three! It's over, and David Fraggle is now a WBSW Superstar!
Alex Morgan sits at ringside, clipboard in hand, as David Fraggle looks at him with the toothiest of grins. He motions for Alex to get into the ring, and Alex sighs, leaving his seat. Fraggle has a microphone by this point.
Fraggle
Is that my contract, Alex? You should probably bring it in here so I can sign it. After all, I did just beat your goon over here.
He lowers the microphone and grins as Morgan climbs into the ring. He hands Fraggle the clipboard and a pen. Fraggle signs the contract happily, and when he hands it back, the lights cut out. When we have light again, two Lucha looking guys co...wait... That's Los Conquistadores! Fraggle turns around and is hit with a huge spinning heel kick! One of them, the white and red one, pulls him to the corner with him... He climbs and sits on the top, and there's a huge Tornado DDT followed by a Corkscrew Moonsault from the black one!
They high five, and look at Alex Morgan who is in the corner, backed away as far as he can. They look at him for a second and head up the ramp to a shower of boos from the audience. They stand atop the ramp and disappear behind the curtain. And in the ring, Morgan notices that the Tag Team Belts are folded neatly sitting in the middle of the ring! What the hell?
This second contest of the night begins with both entrances(obviously). Gunner's first, beginning with that shotgun blast and "Dead Man Walking" and the fans are growing to appreciate this man, if not love him. The wait is a few seconds longer than usual, but he comes out as expected, carrying the WBSW Championship belt over his shoulder. He heads down the ramp as usual, climbing into the ring. He hands Eddie Higgins the belt, and looks up at the ramp. John Tucker's entrances is, as usual, kinda disturbing. Chomping a burger, his "Rise Above Weight" shirt all grease stained. He rolls into the ring, and stands up, asking for a minute before Higgins rings the bell. Higgins obliges, and Tucker tries to catch his breath.
The bell is rung, and Gunner wastes no time taking Tucker down with an Arm Drag. He holds the arm and locks in an Armbar, that if it weren't for their closeness to the ropes, the chubby competitor would have had no choice but to tap. The hold is broken though, and Gunner gets back to his feet, running right through Tucker, plowing him to the mat with a vicious shoulder block. Gunner goes to cover right away, only getting away with a two count, and barely two, I might add.
The men both get to their feet, and this bout becomes very one sided on Gunner's behalf. Punch after punch, then we get some Suplexes, and a very violent sounding DDT, which does cause a wicked nosebleed for Tucker. His nose might actually be broken now, which--luckily for him--still wont pose a threat to his eating.
Gunner finally gets tired of toying around with this guy, leaning against the turnbuckle as Tucker fights his chubbiness to get to his feet. He gets thrown into the ropes, and on the return, Gunner goes for his signature Buckshot, but Tucker falls after hitting the ropes, and in all of his preparation and power put into the kick, Gunner hits the mat. He looks very embarrassed, and quickly drags Tucker to the rings center, applying the Full Metal Jacket, but after a few seconds, decides not to finish the whole thing right then. He throws Tucker to the mat as they get separated by Higgins so Tucker can be checked on.
Gunner, almost leaving the match right there, gets the fans psyched up. He charges at Tucker, who ducks down, and Gunner goes over the top rope onto the apron. He catches himself before falling off though, hopping right back up to his feet. Tucker flops his gut into gunner, and the champ then does lose his balance as Tucker falls over. Gunner wastes no time getting up though, as he spots Tucker who hurried into the crowd, purchasing a hot dog. Torres is telling me that he saw him hand the guy a $10 bill, for one hot dog, and just told him to keep the change!
Tucker scarfs the hot dog down, which gives him some magical energy boost...somehow... He rockets to the ring and meets Gunner in the middle, going off on some sort of ridiculous John Cena-style attack, punching Gunner repeatedly, then a throw to the ropes. He once again does a huge Belly Flop attack, and goes to cover the downed Gunner, but Gunner gets a shoulder up after a two-count!
Gunner is furious now as he attacks Tucker violently, ending the offense with a Clothesline, a Suplex, then throws Tucker to the turnbuckle, hits a huge Corner Splash, then throws Tucker to the ropes, and just like that we get Buckshot and a cover for the three! "Dead Man Walking" cues up as Gunner is handed his title, helps the Fat Fucker to his feet, and leaves the ring.
The camera crew that we do have(just like a little handy cam deal) is seen backstage with Steven Gold and Barry Lincoln. Lincoln introduces them, and then begins "asking the tough questions", which honestly, is so cliche and has become the butt of our jokes when the three of us talk.
Lincoln
I'm here with one of our newest signings, Steven Gold, who has a match up next. He and "Lumber" Jack Jackson will compete in a triple threat match against our Hardcore Champion, Adam Stryker. Steven, this is a homecoming of sorts, right?
Gold
That could be one way to word it, sure.
Lincoln
And how do you feel going into this match?
Gold
Not sure i could feel any better, to be honest. This is going to be just one slight breeze, and then I get to go right to the tornado, in this case, Gunner Hughes, our champ.
Lincoln
And what do you see as a threat in tonight's match?
Gold
A threat? Uh... Let me get back to you on this one? Thanks.
A slight wink to the camera, and a little pop from the fans after the comment.
Lincoln
Okay... And you wrestled in Oceania for a few years, if I'm not mistaken. Do you feel like you've got an advantage because of it?
Gold
Being Steven Gold is enough of an advantage, I don't need to point out all the experience gained from things like that. I'm more of a fan of showing what I've got in the ring.
We hear "Breaking the Habit" by Linkin Park over the sound system, cuing Lincoln to leave, shaking Gold's hand.
Steven Gold gets to the ring, greeting fans along the way, sliding into the ring as we hear Stryker's theme hit, and Gold's face turns directly to his game face as Stryker appears. The crowd gives him a decent pop, despite his UWL loss. He heads down the ramp, tossing his shirt into the crowd. Before he even gets to the ring, we hear the theme of our newest arrival, Jack Jackson.
Eddie Higgins is once again our official as the bell rings, and the three men look at each other. Stryker and Gold come close to locking up, and Gold fakes a punch at Stryker, and winds up hitting Jackson instead. Stryker takes advantage of this, as the two men take Jackson to the mat, and alternate kicks and stomps. When they force Jackson out of the ring, Stryker grabs Gold and throws him over the top rope. He turns around and poses for the crowd, and when he turns back he sees that Gold never went down, and he knees Stryker, then lands a Suplex out onto the floor!
Gold then dives off the apron onto his opponents, and the mayhem begins. The men throw a lot of technical moves at each other, until Jackson starts throwing some monstrous punches at his opponents, taking them down one at a time. He rolls Gold into the ring, and Stryker spears him from behind, forcing him into the apron, and he goes to the floor, clutching his midsection. Stryker slides into the ring then, dodging a stomp from Gold.
He hops to his feet with so much agility, runs to the opposite ropes and comes back with a swinging neck breaker! He covers, but is pulled off of Gold after a one count by Jackson! Jackson drags him out of the ring and lands a few huge punches, followed by a whip into the guard rail, sliding into the ring, hopping to his feet and being hit by a huge fist from Gold. Stryker slides into the ring, then he and Gold take turns punching Jackson as he moves to each of them, ending with a huge Dropkick from Stryker!
The action goes all three ways for a few minutes, mostly the new signing Gold showing us his worth, though both of them spend about two minutes double teaming Jackson. Finally having enough, Jackson gets out of the way and Stryker throws a Clothesline Gold's way! Gold hops right back up(so much agility from a big man), and him and Stryker lock up. Jackson rolls out of the ring onto the floor as Gold lands a Belly to Belly Suplex executed so beautifully that it could put even Olympic wrestlers to shame!
He stands now, the only competitor on his feet as he catches his breath, and hopefully the other two can catch theirs as well. Stryker gets to his feet next, and Gold goes for the Kickoff, but Stryker ducks out of the way and Gold hits the turnbuckle! Stryker uses this as an opportunity to lock in a Full Nelson, but Gold flips him over his head and applies a Headlock from behind! Jackson breaks the hold and Gold stares at him violently. Jackson backs off and Gold turns back around. Stryker's not there any more though. Looks like he rolled out of the ring. This leaves Gold to look back at Jackson, and he throws him into the turnbuckle. A huge splash in the corner later, Jackson looks to be pretty much out of it. Gold turns back around and is hit with the Stryke! Stryker covers, but only gets a two!
Gold just does not want to give up, does he? Stryker gets up, frustrated, waiting for Gold to get to his feet. When he does, we see another Stryke, followed by a hop to the top turnbuckle, and diving right off with a Moonsault! He covers and hooks a leg, but this time, Gold is close enough to the ropes that he gets a foot up after two!
The intensity doesn't let up at all as we see Jackson getting to his feet after quite a while of inactivity. He gets up to be hit with a huge swinging neck breaker from Stryker, who covers, but Gold breaks up the pin! He throws Stryker into the turnbuckle, and Stryker ducks out of the way of a running boot aimed for his face. While Gold is shaken up, Stryker uses this as a chance to lock in the Echo. But just as Jackson is about to tap out, Gold gets back and ready and yet again spoils Stryker's night!
Jackson once again manages to get out of the way as Stryker and Gold attempt to murder each other. Stryker goes for a Belly to Belly Suplex, but Gold keeps his stance and reverses it into his own to a pretty big crowd pop. Once again, these guys show why they're professionals as Gold and Stryker share a series of technical moves again, Gold eventually coming out on top with this one. Stryker gets up and Gold connects with the Kickoff! He covers and picks up the three in his debut!
Gold gets to his feet in celebration as the crowd applauds him. He put on an awesome show tonight, and these people love it!
Barry Lincoln stands backstage with Los Conquistadores del Vuelos, and yet again, the two men's faces remain hidden, this time behind their wrestling masks.
Lincoln
Gentlemen, tonight you make your WBSW debut against OK USA! What do you have to say going into this match?
The men just stare at him.
Lincoln
Many fans are questioning your purpose here after what happened last week. Do you fellas care to elaborate?
They stare again, then step forward toward the curtain as their music hits.
Los Conquistadores head down to the ring to the loudest booing I have heard from a WBSW crowd to date. I don't blame these fans for it. These guys ruined a great ladder match.
They stand in the ring as the rock version of the Star Spangled Banner cues OK USA, but they don't come out. Los conquistadores look at each other as the music eventually fades out. After a few seconds of silence, the crowd is on a "USA" chant. The music hits again, and the crowd gets to their feet. Still nothing. The two masked superstars in the ring leave the ring now and head to our sound booth.
They appear to be arguing when the one in black, who I have finally been told is the one called Toro, slaps our sound guy in the head. The other one tosses him into the huge equipment system right there, and it sends sparks flying all over!
These guys continue to terrorize the arena staff, throwing them around and trashing the set up! They even came to the commentator table now, and look Torres right in the eye. Torres gets up and... A cutter through the commentary table from Toro! Here comes security as the two masked men scurry away again like the cowards they are! Again, really? Get them Mitch!
