Oh what a match at Dealers' Choice, I came in there and gave Collins a chance to catch her breath and just like I said I gave her a coin flip and it landed in her favor which was fine with me. The girl deserved a break, she deserved a chance to catch her breath and after everything maybe passed and the match was over maybe I should have just rushed her and attacked but in reality that is not the way I have done things in Boardwalk and that is not the way I want the fans in Atlantic City to see me. I wanted to do it right, leave it up to chance just like I said and chance dished out its justice and was it fair? Sure it was Claire is a hell of fighter and in the end I should have made sure she was down and done. It was my own mistake I believed that I was going to be able to get the belt quickly enough but the girl recovered faster then I expected, I mean how do you plan on how fast someone recovers after something like that? In reality you can't, I left things to chance instead of making sure she stayed down and what happened? She was the one that actually was able to pull the Casino title down even though I was draped all over her like a cheap suit and nearly broke her in half. Now Claire you showed just how tough and gutsy you are, never thought in my wildest dreams you would have such a penchant for Hardcore antics, color me impressed and that is really saying something. I have respected you for the way you have carried yourself as the champion and now I look at you with even a little bit more respect then I had for you before. I may not have beaten you this time but next time it will be a different story.
So I found out that I have a match on Live against a newcomer Marley Jane, not a whole lot I can really say except she beat The Rooster last week and that sounds as dirty saying it as it probably is heard coming from me. I don't know much about her but that she is a blonde and she has a significant other and that is LITERALLY all I know. So this is how I am doing it, good luck Marley, I really hope you have a long and prosperous run in Boardwalk but that will continue AFTER our match. See there is probably a ton of potential with you, Boardwalk wouldn't have signed you if they didn't. The thing is I will have to show you that this is a different horse and a totally different person then your last opponent. I have my eyes on the top, I need to figure out a way to get over the top dogs, I usually do pretty good against ANYONE that doesn't wear a belt in Boardwalk. I was so close against Carlisle I could almost taste that pleather in my hands but that was before Richards screwed me over. I was really looking at that match as turning point in Boardwalk, where I would finally get over that hump, the my months of fighting, being strapped to people like that washed up turd John Pariah and people thinking of me as nothing more then a come and go type star that just blows in and out when it suits me. To be truthful it bothered me that some of the stars here don't see the determination, the hard work and the hours of film time I put in studying my opponents. It was politics and my own willingness to do what the old Noah would have never had a problem doing or at least the one here and not in NAW or Fight-One.
See I try to be a more professional person here in Boardwalk, I try to not be the man that is in North Atlantic Wrestling or Fight-One. I just try to be someone that inspires the fans, maybe even a few of the older wrestlers that you can be relevant and still use your AARP card and get the Early Bird special at Dennys. The thing is that beating Carlisle would have been incredible, it would have made things so different but I just couldn't do it, I had the chair, it was right there at my feet all I had to do was pick it up and drive it over the back of Carlisle a few times. It would have been simple and clean and I would have walked out as the Internet champion but I just couldn't do it, I kicked the chair away and Richards was probably looking to make me miserable or maybe that was part of the plan with Collins and that stupid ladder match. I wanted to really do so much more to Collins, there was part of me that really wanted to inflict as much damage to her as possible but there was another part of me that told me not to and I listened to it.. And you know what I got out of it? I busted up, I got a ladder to the face and stitches to fix it all nice and a plastic surgeon that will probably get to go to Vale, Colorado on MY dime. So Collins great job paying for his summer vacation it was mighty white of ya for doin' that and Marley that has been my last few matches in Boardwalk in a nutshell. A lot of brass rings but me just letting them slip through my grasp and now I have to look over a few people and try to get back in line and see if I can't work my way back towards the top of the line.
So Marley this might be a time where you and your significant other think this is where your career is just gonna take off but that is gonna be put on hold. I have to get back on track and the only way to do that is to get back to business and it starts with you. I will not make this personal, there is nothing for me or you to make this personal, we just meet at the middle of the ring, shake hands and may the best person win. This is the kinda make that the fans really do love at he heart of this match is a match with two different stories, one the newcomer, trying to make a name for herself and the veteran trying to get back on track after suffering a tough loss and the only real winners are the fans themselves because they get treated to a great match. So on Live two great storylines are gonna converge and then one of us will walk out of the ring and their storyline will continue on its own tangent as the winner.
The way I see it fate and destiny have been working hard a lot lately and maybe they just need a little bit of a break. No bullshit, no cute tag lines, just two great fighters meeting and one walking out the winner.
Almost like Mad Max the one with the Thunderdome and Tina Turner two go in and one comes out. We just have to sort out all the details in the ring, thank god we don't have to jump around on giant bungee cords.
Really thank god for that....

[Noah Fun Fact of the Day: His fav food is a good steak Well Done and a baked potato with sour cream and butter.]
Noah and Cassandra are shown sitting near his grill outside, he still has a bandage on his head from the Ladder Match and a large bruise can be visibly seen on his left cheek. Smoke is slowly coming from the grill as Noah is sitting in his chair, drinking a Killians Irish Red. He doesn't seem to be willing to talk much instead seems to be rather preoccupied with knocking down a few beers as a few other empty bottles can be seen slightly under his chair. Noah scoots his chair over to the grill and opens it with his foot, taking a peak in to see how the food he is cooking is doin'. He smiles slightly and then closes the lid and pushes his chair back a little and takes a long swig from his beer, finishing it, he sits the bottle on the ground, a little casually and the bottle tumbles to the ground and rolls a few feet away. “Man I just can't beat the top dogs, what do I have to do to put away some of them?”
“Who said you did anything wrong?” Demetrius Burrell said with a smile as he walked on to the deck and grabbed one of the beers, twisting the cap off and taking a drink. He shook his buddies hand and then pulled him close for a brief hug. He pointed to the wound and shook his head. “How do you always end up getting hurt like that?”
Noah rolled his eyes at the comment and shook his head. “When did you get into town?” Noah asked as she slowly pulled himself out of the chair and walked over to the fridge and pulled out another steak and a potato. “You're staying for dinner...”
D nodded his head as Noah opened the lid and tossed the third steak on the grill, smoke poured out a little and the sizzle of the meat can be heard loudly. Noah grabs the seasoned salt and sprinkles a little on all three and then grabs a fork and tests the doneness of the potatoes, nods and then throws on for D and then closes the lid. “Thanks man, smells good, didn't mean to just drop in on ya like that man but was riding through this was and saw that you sold the place in KC and when I called Jimmy he gave me this address. What the hell are you doin' living in Scranton?”
“New promotion and new town.” Noah quickly replied as he sat back down in his chair and took a long swig of his beer. “Had to get all that Chicago shit out of my system, cut it out of my mind and living in KC was just to close to Chicago and I needed a chance of scenery after that not so impressive run.”
“You were a tag team champion weren't you?” D asked as she squinted his eyes a little as he seemed a little confused by the comment. “How could you be disappointed with it overall, I saw some of your matches you beat couple of champions over there including Scott Stevens, David Black I mean sure you were beaten by Jason Parker Davidson like you owed the man money but you came out there week in and week out and you repped HOW better than most of the men that were supposedly Hall of Famers there.”
“But in the end I was black-balled I was never given the chance that Pettis has given me in Boardwalk. I don't have nearly as sparkling a record here in Boardwalk as I did in HOW but the man rewards loyalty and hard work and dedication something Lee Best never managed to do. And that is simply how the man ran his business, I don't like the way I was treated unfairly but I understand that I was never popular over there, they hated the way I did my thing, they hated that I did it MY way. Pettis has never told me how to do anything, he has booked me here and there and I have delivered in each and every match even in matches where I was booked in ways that I wasn't sure what Pettis was thinking I still did my thing and entertained the fans.” Noah explained as he saw Cassandra walking in the front, she winked at him and a smile appeared on his face and D saw that and shook his head and took a drink of his beer as well. Cassandra joined the two outside and grabbed herself a beer and then gave Noah a kiss.
“What about me?” D asked extending his arms widely. “How ya been Cass?”
“Been good...” Cass replied as she hugged D and gave him a peck on the cheek and then took a drink of her beer. “...just trying to get this man as healthy as I can...considering that he keeps thinking this is Ninety Six and not now because he keeps taking all these bookings, Fight-One, Boardwalk, North Atlantic Wrestling....”
Noah tapped Cass on the shoulder interrupting her. “You forgot about the Rumble match for a place called PWA.”
“Say what?” Cass shockingly replied as she looked at Noah her face looking even more confused. “When the hell did you sign up for that? On the shitter this morning?”
“No...” Noah replied, shaking his head. “It was after breakfast to be honest, I was just looking over my Twitter feed and it just popped up and I thought I would give it a shot and see what happens....couldn't hurt right?”
“What in the hell are you trying to do?” D asked with concern in his voice. “Are you trying to kill yourself in the ring or are you just trying to forget everything that is goin' on?”
Noah shrugged his shoulders. “Why does it matter? I missed plenty of chances early in my career, you know that as well as anyone D because when both of us were in Wrestling Midwest I could have done a lot of stuff just like that if I wasn't so unsure of myself back then and then when I did start doin' stuff like that I was so screwed up in the head and I couldn't do shit right and burned so many damn bridges. To be honest I am shocked that I still have some name value all these years later because after the whole deal in PrimeTime Central I really shouldn't have had the career that I have had in this business. I mean I guess that is why when Pettis books me in a match like he has on Live against someone I have never heard of, it is Pettis still believing in me and I have to tip my hat to the man and thank him for trusting me and not just throwing me out like trash. He has shown me respect and for that I can do no less then give the man, the company, the fans of Boardwalk and my opponents that stand opposed across the ring from me my very best. That is how you do it these days, you bust your ass and the fans and the staff will love you for it, well most staffs will not all of them but most of them will reward you for hard work. And that is all I am trying to do is not miss a whole lot of chances that I may not have been willing to take back in the day. And yeah I know that I was really on the top of my game back then but I was also so full of myself as well and never knew when to shut my mouth. At least I have learned that lesson after all these years.”
D laughed a little as Noah told his little story, he thought it was nice that Noah was trying to fix what he had done years ago. He wasn't wrong either the famous matches between Wrestling Midwest and Global Wrestling and where Noah would argue with the PrimeTime Central officials and how Noah called them cunts. He knew what he was doing but really wasn't sure why he was doing it because he did all this globe trotting before and it took its toll on him mentally and now that he is older he thinks he has a better handle on things. D looks at Noah as he flips the steaks again and shakes his head. He looks at Noah like a brother but just wonders how long he can keep fighting kids that are half his age, kids like this Marley Jane chick and just how long his body will hold up....
Time will tell I guess...
