Backstory:
Veronica Abrams can barely remember her parents, they died when she was very young. In fact, she’s never been quite certain of the details of their passing. Her only family of note was her uncle William (picbase Patrick Stewart). William had worked as a butler and handyman of sorts for a rich family in upstate New York for many years. ‘Ronnie’ as she was affectionately called moved in with her uncle in the servant quarters on the property. She became fast friends with the daughter of the rich family, Bethany Durham (picbase Olivia Wilde). Uncle William provided as best he could for Ronnie, and in fact the Durhams took a strong liking to her as well. However, rumor began to murmur around the town… Veronica bore a striking resemblance to Bethany, a question of Ronnie’s true ancestry was brought to light.
Rather than face the issue head on, When she turned 18 she gathered her meager savings and with a bit of help from the Durhams left for Europe, backpacking around and spending time in France, Italy, Russia, Sweden. The bitter pent-up kid that was filled with uncertainty that had never allowed herself to think or feel anything too serious was finally free, and she let herself go a bit. She learned the street life, it was exhilarating to her. She fell in with some gangs that enjoyed fight clubs, and she was not only a fan… she fully participated.
At 21 she was visited by Bethany, who urged her to return back to America so they could start over. By this time the sweet little brunette was fully transformed… blonde, pierced, tattooed. She wasn’t a delicate naïve young woman any longer, she was hardened to the ills and the realities of the world. Ronnie agreed to return, but she refused to talk about the family drama until she was ready. Bethany… having missed her friend (and sister?) being around, agreed.
Back in the states, she often talks with Bethany and her uncle, but she refuses to speak to the Durhams. She steals away at night to drive into the inner city to get her kicks, checking out bands, getting into fights, etc. Uncle William could tell that Ronnie was hurting and if he didn’t intervene, before long she might not be around much longer. William, being a retired boxer and wrestler from England hoped to channel some of her aggression and careless attitude towards other venues, namely wrestling. He and some friends helped train her at a private gym.
With years of rough living, numerous tattoos and piercings lining her body… she is a far cry from the sweet young Veronica Abrams of old. Adopting the stage name Aquila Vox, she is an opinionated brash young woman. She believes in justice, if not the law to the letter. She is a work in progress, still coping with who she was, who she is, and who she wants to be. Outwardly, she puts on a positive exuberant face, channeling her anger, sadness, and uncertainty in a physical manner on her opponents in the ring. Her personality could be defined loosely as thus: The quirky cute attitude of a Kristen Bell mixed with the relentless snarl of Wolverine.
