Hello everyone! Teddy Moser here to blog the next edition of Meltdown! Sorry if I did a bad job last week, I'm still new to this whole thing, but I'll get the hang of it, so don't get your damn panties in a bunch. I'm told they have an awesome show for you guys this week, I'm pretty excited to see it, and i hope you all are too!
As "Francois Martin" by The Tenth Stage hits the PA system David Fraggle holding the NAW Championship walks out from behind the curtains. He walks to the ring and when he gets to it he puts the NAW Championship into the ring and then slides under the bottom and stands up. He then picks up the NAW Championship, climbs a nearby turnbuckle and raises his arms. He then jumps off of the corner, turns around. David Fraggle then asks for a microphone and is handed one.
“The Very Good” David Fraggle: I came out here tonight because I’m not happy with some things that were said last week. Last week Alex Morgan came out here and said that Jordan Keyser was the champion who NAW needed. I wanted to respond to that by telling you a story about Alex Morgan. He’s always been a man who doesn’t know what he has until it’s long gone. Isn’t it funny that he wants Jordan back in the company and winning the NAW Championship when just a few weeks ago he hated him with a passion? What Alex Morgan has done is say that I’m a bad champion without giving me a proper chance to show the entire world what kind of a champion I really am. That is why the machine that controls NAW needs to be taken down forever because it doesn’t know what it really wants. Look at the other thing that Alex Morgan did, he named Gunner Hughes another Alex Morgan enemy as the number one contender for my NAW Championship. It’s a match were no matter what happens Alex Morgan doesn’t win.
As "Cry Little Sister” plays on the PA system the lights go out. Carmesí and Thee Vamp walk out from behind the curtains and walk slowly to the ring. When they get to the ring they slide into it and crawls to the centre of the ring as the lights go back on. Carmesí and Thee Vamp then stand up and David Fraggle gives Carmesí the microphone.
Carmesí: We wanted to come out here and give our thoughts on Alex Morgan. Alex Morgan I want you to look at your track record because every decision that you’ve made in NAW has always come back and bit you. Nothing has ever gone your way. That trend is going to continue at Spring Breakdown when the team of Thee Vamp and I continue what we started at St Valentine’s Day Massacre by facing The Latin Kings. However we want to finish them off forever and because of the fact that they’re your chosen team we’re making the match a tag team body bag match. What that means is in order to win it you’ve got to put both of your opponents into body bags. When The Lost Family are done with The Latin Kings you Alex Morgan will officially have nobody on your side. I’m going to make this even simpler for Alex Morgan to understand at Spring Breakdown he has one of the worse nights of his entire life because nothing goes his way.
“The Very Good” David Fraggle takes the microphone.
“The Very Good” David Fraggle: Tonight Thee Vamp is in a match against Jack Lockhart. I want everybody to know that I’m going to be in Thee Vamp’s corner making sure that he picks up the big win. Now hit my music.
As "Francois Martin" by The Tenth Stage hits the PA system “The Very Good” David Fraggle raises the NAW Championship as Thee Vamp and Carmesí clap their hands. “The Very Good” David Fraggle then walks to the ropes and leaves the ring. Carmesí and Thee Vamp then leave the ring.
--------------------
The first match is set to begin as "Hit me With Your Best Shot" begins to play. The crowd cheers, so happy for Jenny Smith to be returning to action after a few months of not being around, and she's thrown into the thick of the returning Femme Fatale title race, nonetheless! So exciting. She comes out in a very excited manner, very happy to be back in action as she slides into the ring.
Rebecca: Ladies and gentlemen this first match is set for one fall, introducing first, from the Netherlands.... The Dutch Diva.... jenny Smith!
Jenny holds her arms high in her corner as her music fades out and in fades "Circus for a Psycho" by Skillet. Christine Nash starts to come out and a smile is also on her face, although it looks a little more sadistic. This woman may be insane, and I am perfectly okay with that, she could own me any day, haha.
Rebecca: And her opponent.....The Twisted Angel.... Christine Nash!
Christine gets to the ring and the girls stare each other down, both of them ready for whatever the other may bring.
Christine Nash vs Jenny Smith
To start the match, these two charged right in and locked up. Jenny takes advantage and pushes Christine into the corner. She hits Christine in the side of the head with a few kicks, and the flexibility is such a turn on. Pretty sure every guy in this room has a boner at this point. She whips Christine across the ring to the opposite corner and runs, looking for a clothesline, but Christine ducks and runs to the middle of the ring. Jenny hops up and lands on the second turnbuckle, and jumps back, spinning around. She spins to face Christine, and Christine is able to turn it into a Sitout Powerbomb! She keeps in sitting position and holds Jenny's legs for a pin attempt, but doesn't quite get a count out of it.
The two women get back up and fight it out, and this entire match stays pretty evened out for a mninute, going completely back and forth. This minute of back and forth ends with a huge Enziguiri that Christine had hit Jenny with that knocked her flat on her back, and Christine, the hottie that she is, took absolute control from there.
The Twisted Angel kept control of the rest of this match, hitting Jenny with some wild attacks, and finishes things off with the Angels Wings, and a pinfall victory, going two-and-oh so far in NAW Competition.
--------------------
The ring crew clears everything out, and everyone is ready for the next matchup when "Eye of the Tiger" hits. The fans cheer and Jason Price appears alongside his wife Joann, the two of them, heading along the aisle, greeting fans. Jason grabs a young fan's sign, looking at it, then he grabs a pen from another fan, signs it, and gives it back to the child in the crowd.
Rebecca: Ladies and gentlemen, the next match is set for one fall! Introducing first, from San Diego, California.... Jason Price!
Jason gets into the ring after kissing his wife quickly, and he stands in one corner, looking at all the entrance ways to see if he can figure out where Josh will be coming from. Suddenly, "Icarus Lives!" hits, and the fans all look at the entrances. They see Josh Lost at the one across from where Jason went in, and everyone's attention turns to it. He heads down the ramp with purpose, ready to get this match underway, sliding right into the ring.
Rebecca: And his opponent, from Oakland.....Josh Lost!
Lost and Price stare each other down as the music fades out.
Josh Lost vs Jason Price
The bell rings, and the guys circle it a few times. They lock up, and Price takes the early advantage, pushing Lost back into the ropes. He hits Lost with a few right hands before whipping him to the opposite ropes. Lost bounds off and comes back with a Diving Clothesline, sending Price and himself to the mat. Both men hop right back up and circle the ring again. Lost charges in and wraps his arms around the waist of Price, quickly turning to be behind Price. He looks for a belly to back Suplex, but Price is able to plant his feet and hold himself on the mat. He hits Lost with an elbow and Lost is forced to let go.
The guys stare each other down again, neither one of them seemingly able to find a weakness in the other. They lock up one more time, and this ends with Lost getting tired of it and throwing some right hands at Price. Price doesn't just take it though, and comes back with some of his own. He whips Lost into the corner and charges, looking for a boot to the head, but Lost ducks and rolls forward toward the center of the ring. Price boots the turnbuckle instead, and gets a lot of recoil from the shot. He turns around, still kinda shaky, and is met with a spinning heel kick from Lost! Lost covers, but doesn't get a count before Price kicks out. Joann pounds on the apron a few times, shouting encouragement to Price as he shakes the cobwebs a little bit.
Lost pulls Price to his feet and places Price's head inside the fold of his arm, but Price uses this as a Suplex opportunity, much to the love of the crowd who pop loudly, and you can't really blame them, ya know? Price takes advantage of this, picking Lost up and Suplexing him yet again. He picks Lost up one more time and hits him in the chest a few times. He takes a step back, then hits a Dropkick, sending Lost into the ropes. Price gets up and runs at Lost, hitting a Crossbody, and both men spill over the top rope to the outside! Price is slow to his feet, but gets up first, followed closely by Lost. He whips Lost at the ring stairs, but Lost jumps and lands on his feet on top of the stairs. He jumps off and turns, kicking Price swiftly in the temple, flattening him! Higgins has the count started, at three as Lost picks Price up and slams his shoulder into the ring post, then he rolls Price into the ring, sliding in and covering. He gets a little past two when Price puts a foot on the bottom rope, and Higgins sees it, stopping the count right away.
Lost looks frustrated as he gets up, running a hand through his hair as he gets up. Price rolls onto his stomach and crawls to the corner, pulling himself up with the help of the ropes. He gets up and Lost comes at him, but Price seems to sense it and is able to throw an elbow and hit him in the face, sending him backward. Price turns around and pulls himself up, sitting on the top turnbuckle with his feet on the second. He stands up and comes off, hitting a Dropkick from the second rope, hitting Lost square in the chest and causing a complete backflip. He hurries over in a crawl and covers! He only gets a two count though, and Lost kicks out!
Price looks half way devastated by not getting the win, and he gets to his feet slowly. He waits for Lost to get to his feet and kicks him hard in the midsection, holding Lost's head between his legs as he lets out a loud "WOOOOO!" He lifts Lost, looking for the Enforcer, but Lost hits him with a few rights to the head, and then sends him to the mat with a Hurricanrana, but he keeps it held in and rolls Price up! Another two count, but Price is able to get free before the three and the match goes on!
Both men lie on the mat for a few seconds, Lost getting to his feet first. He pulls Price to his feet and both men hit each other back and forth with right hands. After a few rights, Lost gets the advantage with a hard shot, then hits him a few more times before an Implant DDT that shook the whole ring! He covers, but it's still not enough! Lost looks real pissed now, and takes this opportunity to yell at Higgins, who just shakes his head, yelling right back and getting into the face of Lost! Never seen the ref initiate the actual argument before. Tough old bastard. Lost shoves Higgins now, and Price is to his feet. Lost swings and Price ducks, then both men turn around to face each other, Price hits Lost with a knee to the gut, lifts him, and there it is! The Enforcer, and the three count pinfall victory!
Rebecca: Your winner.....Jason Price!
Price gets up and holds his arms high, the crowd cheering him on. He looks down at Lost, who is clutching the back of his head, and he helps him to his feet. Lost shoves him away when he realizes what's going on and leaves the ring, while Price and Joann stand in the ring, Higgins holding the hand of Price high, but Price looks somewhat furious at Lost, who is backing down the aisle back toward the door that he came from.
--------------------
The next thing that happens is "Tom Sawyer" by Rush hitting, and Alex Morgan quickly making his way to the ring, a title belt in hand. He gets into the ring, and the music cuts, the crowd being respectful and quieting after a few seconds.
Morgan: Hello everyone, and how are we enjoying this show tonight?
Cheers from all 200 fans, and Morgan nods with a slight smile.
Morgan: Good, good. I have a few announcements for everyone, some that you will love, some you can take or leave I'm sure.
More cheers. God, all these people do is cheer.
Morgan: First of all, I have a blockbuster announcement to make. The Horizon Championship was vacated last week after Gunner Hughes refused it and was named the number one contender for David Fraggle's NAW Championship. But the coming weeks will see a tournament, concluding at Spring Breakdown in an I Quit Match! That way we can find a true victor, becaue it will test the dedication of the young poeple in the tournament.
More cheers, should have seen that coming.
Morgan: Also, I would like to address the things that young David Fraggle said earlier on this evening. First of all, I never said that I didn't want to see Fraggle as champion. I'm happy for him, I really am, and I was pulling for him. I had faith in him, or i never would have named him the contender for the belt. But let's face facts. Jordan Keyser was the kind of champion that would continually bring in ratings. He would continually sell tickets. He would continually be feared and respected by people. Fraggle, you have the Lost Family to help strike fear into the people, but that doesn nothing for respect. And that is what a champion should be.
A mixed bag here, some people seeming to think that Morgan has an agenda now, and I mean, the man has a company to think about, doesn't he?
Morgan: Like I said, David. You're a hard worker. We both know that. So is Gunner Hughes. Gunner Hughes has the longest championship reign in the history of this company. Sure, you're title reign was quite impressive, but still. Fraggle, you need to get yourself ready for Spring Breakdown, because I can guarantee you that Gunner is going to do a lot less talking and letting his actions speak for him when you guys face off. Fraggle, I like you. Don't make me regret naming you a number one contender, okay?
With that, Morgan tosses the microphone to our table here and heads down an aisle as his music cuts and "Dawgs" begins to play.
-------------------
Rebecca: The following is a tag team match that is set for one fall, introducing first, the team of Marco Uribe and Diego Martinez....The Latin Kings!
"Dawgs" continues and the two men head down one of the aisles, greeting fans on the way down. There are a few fans who are booing the two men, and Marco looks around, seeking them out. He starts yelling at them in Spanish, and Diego comes over to him, teling him to calm down. The two finish making their way to the ring as the music fades out.
Rebecca: And their opponents, from the Greenpoint District of Chicago, Illinois...... The team of JJ McHale and Terry Westriver.... The Greenpoint Gangstaz!
The crowd cheers the two on as they come through one of the doors leading to the banquet hall. Terry hops up and down, getting himself pumped, as JJ looks around the arena. The two men head down the ramp and slide into the ring, and Diego and Marco waste no time as the bell rings, and the four men begin to brawl.
Greenpoint Gangstaz vs The Latin Kings
JJ throws Diego out of the ring, and slides out of the ring after him, making Terry and Marco the legal men in the ring. Marco has Terry backed into a corner and is stomping at his chest. He grabs Terry and whips him hard into the opposite corner. Terry slams into the turnbuckle and falls face first into the mat. Marco hurries to his feet and lets out a loud cry.
JJ and Diego have finally taken to their corners now as Marco heads over to Terry and picks him up. He plants him with a DDT and drags him to the Kings' corner. He hits Terry with a few right hands before tagging in Diego. Diego goes to climb the turnbuckle to the top, but Terry in a desparate dive, shakes the ropes and Diego crotches the turnbuckle. Diego hits the mat on his head, and Terry uses this chance to pin, but only gets a one count. Diego is right back up as Terry heads over and tags in McHale. JJ looks at Diego and runs at him, hitting him hard with a right hand and sending Diego right back to the mat. He stomps on Diego's chest a few times before ducking a diving clothesline from Marco. He turns to face Diego, who is slowly getting back up and hits him with a clothesline of his own. He turns to be hit by Marco now, but Terry is in the ring in no time and throws Marco to the outside.
Terry hold his arms high and runs, diving out of the ring and hitting a suicide dive onto Marco on the outside, the crowd cheering for him after the shot. JJ remains in the ring and on his feet, and as Diego gets up, JJ hits him with a knee to the chin. He looks around at the fans, nodding his head excitedly and grabbing Diego by the head. He whips him into the ropes and when Diego comes back, JJ hits him hard with a boot to the face. He picks Diego up and connects with a vertical Suplex, then another, then a third before covering. He gets a two, but Diego kicks out. He starts getting up and JJ punts to the head, and it looks like Diego may be knocked right the hell out now!
JJ controls this for a while, and Terry has a bloodied Marco on the outside after a quick run through the crowd. Not sure how he got to cut him open, but he did it. Terry throws Marco back over the guard rail back to the inside and climbs up onto the apron, where JJ tags him in. He makes him the Human Cannonball, and there's the crossbody as Diego gets up, and the pinfall victory goes to the Greenpoint Gangstaz!
Rebecca: Here are your winners....the Greenpoint Gangstaz!
The two men head along the aisle to go back to the main concourse area of the hotel as the Latin Kings regain their composure.
--------------------
Our next match should be a load of fun as "Cry Little Sister" plays, and the crowd immediately boos. Thee Vamp appears along the aisle with Carmesi, and the two men head to the ring slowly, taking in the boos from fans.
Rebecca: The following match is set for one fall! If Jack Lockhart wins, he receives a non-title match with David Fraggle! Introducing first, from Toronto, Canada, being accompanied by Carmesi....Thee Vamp!
Vamp slides into the ring, and his music is interrupted as the fans begin to cheer slightly. Jack Lockhart rushes down the aisle to the ring, wanting to waste no time. He gets into the ring and stares Thee Vamp down.
Thee Vamp vs Jack "The Hammer" Lockhart
The two men circle the ring after the bell and they lock up. Vamp sends Lockhart to the mat with an Arm Drag, followed quickly by a few right hands when they both get to their feet. He whips Lockhart, who comes back and plows right into him. Lockhart picks Vamp up and connects with a Scoop Slam, then picks him up and executes a second. He covers, but Vamp kicks out instantly. Lockhart gets up and pulls Vamp to the corner, hitting him a couple times before tossing him into the corner. He lifts a foot and chokes Vamp, and Higgins starts a count. At three, Lockhart eases up and backs off. Vamp stumbles out of the corner, and Lockhart hits a Powerslam and covers again.

Another kickout by Vamp!
They get to their feet again, and this time Vamp takes the upper hand. He hits Lockhart with a few shots before kicking him int he ribs and planting him with a DDT. He covers, but to no avail. He picks Lockhart up and tosses him to the outside to give himself a second to breathe. Lockhart gets up, and Vamp runs, diving over the top rope and hitting a Leg Drop on his standing opponent, and both men tumble to the floor. Carmesi helps Vamp to his feet, and Higgins yells at him to get away from the match. Carmesi holds his arms up and backs away as Vamp stomps on Lockhart, who is starting to stir. He picks Lockhart up and whips him into the ring stairs, and the stairs collapse along with Lockhart, who tumbles over them and lands on his back. The fans cheer him on though, which gets him a bit of a rush, as he starts getting back up with the help of the rail. Vamp looks for a spear into the rail as Lockhart comes toward him, but Lockhart dives away and Vamp goes headfirst into teh steel railing that separates the wrestlers from teh fans.
Angel keeps shouting at Carmesi, who isn't even acknowledging her as he heads over to his downed teammate. Higgins yells at Carmesi again, this time Carmesi ignores him though. Lockhart is to his feet and is working on steadying himself, and Carmesi moves out of the way when he comes at Vamp. He picks Vamp up and whips him into the ringpost, Vamp going shoulder first into it, and Lockhart rolls him into the ring then. He connects with the Earth Tremble, then decides he wants to send a message, as he sees Fraggle standing at one of the doorways. They stare each other down for a moment, then Lockhart grabs Vamp. He lifts him high, staring right at Fraggle as he slams him to the mat with the Earth Shatter! He steps on Vamp for teh cover, still staring at Fraggle, and he picks up the win!
Rebecca: And your winnner...... Jack Lockhart!
Lockhart gets out of the ring and hugs Angel as they head along the aisle back to the door from which they came, and Fraggle just stares at the Lost Family inside the ring.
--------------------
We are in the back area of the banquet hall as Monday Night Meltdown is continued. We see Jason Price and Joann sitting in a room. Jason is wearing Blue Jeans and a Blue Polo shirt.
Jason Price: I could have been the NAW Horizon Champion. Gunner Hughes stole it from me and then he had the nerves to just hand it over to Alex Morgan.
Joann: He did say that he won it by default.
Jason:Can you believe he was laughing because he stole the win from me.
Joann looks at Jason and can tell he was getting mad.
Joann: Jason, you need to calm down. Like you always say today is a new day.
Jason: Everyone knows he stole that win. I hit the Enforcer on Alex Jones, and the NAW Horizon Championship was right there and Gunner Hughes stole it away from me.
Jason stands up and heads for the door.. Joann tries to stop him but it was to late.
Joann: Jason don't do anything stupid.
Jason walks out head towards the ring.
--------------------
The crowd is loud, once again, for a crowd there size, though as I've stated a few times, it's a very modestly sized crowd. They're on their feet though, knowing they're coming in to the main event. They start to give a mixed reaction, though it's quite a bit of cheering as a shotgun is heard. Then "Dead Man Walking" by Bloodsimple hits, and after a few seconds, we see Gunner Hughes. He stands at the door that leads to one of the halls and starts on his way to the ring. He sees a few fans who he gives a slight nod to as he gets into the ring.
HIs music fades out, and the crowd gets real loud as "The Gael" begins to play. After a while, Trent Brown appears at a door and starts on his way down the aisle, the fans all trying to reach out and touch him, as well as Katherine, who is coming out with him. He gets to the end of the crowd and stares into the ring at Gunner, the two men staring each other down. This is ridiculous, you can cut the tension with a knife, guys. These two men have an awesome history in NAW, and Trent is back for his first match in a month or two. Trent climbs into the ring.
Rebecca: The folloiwng match is the main event of the evening and is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Portland, Oregon...... Gunner Hughes!
The crowd makes a lot of noise, quite a few cheers, surprisingly, yet not surpisingly.
Rebecca: And his opponent, all the way from Dublin, Ireland...... "The Renegade" Trent Brown!
The crowd gets as loud as a crowd this size can get cheering for Trent's return match. I'm pretty stoked for it too though, so yeah...
Trent Brown vs Gunner Hughes
The bell rings, and both guys stare each other down. They move in to the center, and just when it looks like they're gonna lock up, Trent takes a swing and misses Gunner, who ducks and heads for the ropes. He comes back and both men look to shoulder block into each other, and they both wind up knocked backward, but they stay on their feet. They look into each other's eyes, and Katherine is yelling support for Trent. I don't think I've seen a staredown this intense before, it's kinda magical. Like...it's hard to describe.
Trent moves toward Gunner, who does the same, and they lock up. Neither man can seem to get the proper leverage, and they wind up shoving each other backward again. They continue staring each other down for a second before heading back to their corners. They come back at a fast pace, locking up again, and Gunner starts to push Trent toward the corner. Trent plants his feet though, and he gets Gunner back. Gunner again. Now Trent. God dammit someone has to do something big here because I'm going nuts!
We're well over two minutes into this match, and nobody has really done anything significant yet. The fans are starting to get sorta rowdy, so hopefully something happens. Finally, like God is listening or something, the two men just start taking shots at each other. Gunner is getting some harder shots in I think, and it's causing Trent to backpedal slowly. Trent gets a kick in though when everyone thinks he's gonna take a swing, then he lifts a knee to Gunner's head after Gunner doubles over. He connects with a suplex, and covers. Gunner kicks out literally as his shoulders are pinned to the mat. Trent gets up, not really surprised at all by that. He picks Gunner up and Gunner hits a few shots to the gut while he's still doubled over, then he stands striaght up, hitting Trent a couple times in the chest, then he whips Trent into a corner.
Gunner gets stuck in the corner after looking for a running boot and Trent ducks. Trent takes this chance to send Gunner across the ring with a German Suplex that he releases early to just toss Gunner across the ring, and wow, what strength is being shown in this damn match. Trent gets to his feet and looks down at Katherine, who has a huge smile on her face, and he turns back to the opponent. That damn woman will be the demise of his career, mark my words. Trent stomps on Gunner while Gunner tries getting up, which keeps him down pretty effectively. He picks Gunner up then and pulls him to the corner, slamming his face into the turnbuckle a few times before slamming the back of his head into the canvas. He then lands with a nicely executed elbow drop, and he covers again.

Kickout by Gunner!
Gunner shakes the cobwebs and after a few seconds is agile as ever, hurrying back to his feet before Trent can get anything real serious done. Gunner sees a charging Trent and lifts a boot, leveling the Renegade hard. He looks down at Trent and hits a Leg Drop, followed by an elbow drop, then he gets to his feet. He looks at Trent, who is crawling to the ropes, and starts getting up. Gunner heads over to him and crouches down onto one knee, throwing a few right hands that keep Trent grounded, then he picks Trent up and whips him into the corner. He charges, and this time connects with a big boot to the chin! Gunner backs off, which allows Trent to stagger out of the corner. Gunner hits a Powerslam and covers.

"Eye of the Tiger" hits, and the crowd looks confused, but start to cheer as they see Jason Price run toward the ring! What's he doing down here! He has no business here! Jason stops at the end of the aisle and stares at Gunner, who stares back. Trent comes up from behind with a rollup!

Kickout by Gunner! Gunner hurries to his feet and starts to look between Trent and Jason, not able to focus for the time being. Trent dominates the next minute or two of this match, because something like this just caused Gunner to lose that little bit of focus that he needed. There were three pin attempts here by Trent, all of them unsuccessful.
Gunner charges and hits Trent with a huge elbow to the head, which sends him hard to the mat. Trent crawls quickly for the rope, but Gunner grabs the leg and drags him to the center, then lifts him by the leg, slamming him into the mat hard at the knee. He does it again, then a third time hard with each one, and the crowd lets out a what sounds like a hoot or a groan, but I can't tell which, each time he does it. He picks Trent up and lands a Vertical Suplex, but doesn't let go, and he lands another Vertical Suplex, both men lying on the mat. Gunner gets up and pulls Trent to his feet, and Trent is able to shove Gunner backward!
Trent charges at Gunner, but Gunner just hits him hard with another elbow that puts him straight onto the mat again. Gunner covers.

Gunner heads over and rolls him onto his back, covering again.

Trent kicks out again!
Gunner looks a little more frustrated as he gets to his feet and Trent rolls onto his side, resting on his elbow as he shakes his head a bit to get everything going again. He starts getting up and Gunner grabs him by his hair, pulling him to his feet. Trent elbows Gunner in the face, and it backs him up. Trent turns around and ducks under Gunner charging at him, and Gunner starts to go over the top, but holds himself and comes back to the mat. Trent lifts and sends him to the outside though, dropping to a knee to get himself a second to collect and regroup as he starts getting back to his feet. Gunner gets up and Trent runs, sliding and kicking Gunner with a baseball slide. He lays there for a second before finishing sliding outside and rolling Gunner back into the ring. He slides in right behind him and pulls Gunner to his feet.
Gunner turns around and hits Trent with a few right hands before Trent gets a few rights in of his own. Trent plants Gunner with an unexpected DDT that shakes the whole ring. He covers, but no luck for a win. Trent looks pretty upset about it and pounds the mat. He gets up and walks toward Eddie Higgins, who defends his two count firmly. Trent looks about to lose his temper on Higgins as he starts shouting, and Katherine yells for Trent to get back to the match. Trent turns around and is met with a Spear by Gunner! Gunner just hit a huge Spear, and it caused a huge eruption in the crowd! Gunner gets to his feet and you can see the fire burning in his eyes, I love it! He stares the downed Trent, who is trying to get a vertical base. He crawls around a bit and as he starts getting up he turns toward Gunner and there it is! The Buckshot! Gunner covers!

Rebecca: Your winner....Gunner Hughes!
Gunner gets to his feet as "Dead Man Walking" plays, and he looks down at Price, who is looking back up at him, clearly unhappy with him. Price backpedals the aisle until he gets to the door and heads out, and Gunner continues to stare that way until he turns around to see Trent starting to get up. Trent gives Gunner a nod of respect, and the two stare each other down until Gunner leaves the ring and katherine climbs up into the ring to greet her husband and the show cuts out here.
