The show opens to the normal pyro display coming from the entrance ramp and "Now We Run" by Steve Vai playing through the PA system. The camera pans around to show the cheering fans holding signs and posters in support of their favorite NAW superstars. The music continues as the view then cuts to the commentary booth where we see the trio of Malcolm Gould, Jim Torres, and Teddy Moser ready to call the action.
Gould: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another edition of Monday Night Meltdown! I’m Malcolm Gould and alongside of me as always are my colleagues Jim Torres and Teddy Moser. We have a great show in store for you tonight, and these fans know it too because they’re going crazy!
Torres: Well they’ve got good reason to excited Malcolm because tonight we have four round one tournament matches in the Horizon Championship Tournament!
Moser: That’s right, after tonight we’ll be one step closer to crowning a new Horizon champion!
Torres: So who are you guys picking to win the whole thing? I think I’m going with Jason Price. He’s been a reborn man as of late and I think he’s going to get by everybody in this tournament and start his second run as the NAW Horizon Champion. What about you Gould?
Gould: Well myself I gotta give the nod to the newcomer Bohannon. I think this guy gets better with each match and is going to be a tough draw for anybody in this tournament. What about you Teddy?
Moser: I think I’m going to go with Matt Lane to win the whole thing.
Torres: What? Have you been drinking?
The Meltdown theme fades out and is instantly replaced by the sound of a shotgun blast echoing throughout the arena. Seconds later, “Mama Said Knock You Out” By Five Finger Death Punch begins to play through the PA system and the fans begin to cheer even louder as they already know who’s on their way out to the ring.
Moser: Hey, that’s the NAW Champion’s music.
Gould: Yeah it sounds like he’s on his way out here…and these people are on their feet!
Torres: Well I’m sure he’s probably coming out here to gloat about retaining his NAW Championship.
After a few seconds Gunner Hughes comes walking out from the backstage area and appears on the ramp. Instead of the pose that he normally does with his NAW Championship on the top of the entrance ramp however, Gunner comes marching straight towards the ring and has an angry look on his face. He walks over to the timekeeper and takes a microphone from the table and then he climbs inside the ring. He raises the mic to his mouth as he walks out to the center and looks towards the back.
Gunner: Cut my damned music!
The music comes to a stop but the fans in the arena are still cheering loudly. Gunner looks around as he waits a few seconds for them to quiet down.
Gould: Well these fans are sure happy to see the NAW Champion here tonight aren’t they guys?
Moser: Indeed
Torres: I don’t know, I think it’s more shock than happiness. I mean when’s the last time these people seen Gunner Hughes inside the ring on a Meltdown show?
After a few more seconds the crowd gets quieter and Gunner raises the mic to his mouth again.
Gunner: You know, quite a few people in the NAW seem to be suffering from an identity crisis lately because for some strange reason we’ve got people coming out of the woodwork claiming to be the “king of the NAW”. Well you know what, the last time I checked there was only one NAW Championship belt and only one man who was holding it….ME! Gunner Hughes! I am the NAW Champion and that’s not going to change for a very long time!
The crowd cheers their approval and Gunner has to pauses again.
Gould: Well it’s hard to disagree with him, he’s been unstoppable on his second run as the NAW Champion.
Torres: Well he should be thanking the Elitists for helping him keep that run going at All Hallow’s Horror, otherwise he might be making an entirely different speech right now.
Gunner continues on.
Gunner: So now with that all said, it’s long overdue that I address a situation that has started to stink up the NAW…
Torres: Uh oh, I think he’s talking about you Gould!
Gunner: …and that situation is a group of people called The Elitists.
Boos echoes through the arena, the fans showing their dislike for The Elitists.
Gunner: These two idiots have been running around the NAW doing whatever they can to get themselves noticed and up until now they’ve made it a good point to stay the hell out of my way. That is…until All Hallow’s Horror.
Gunner pauses again and the fans boo some more as they remember the events of the hell in a cell match.
Gunner: At All Hallow’s Horror Julian Savell and Mason Battle decided to walk out to that ring and get themselves involved in my match against Alaric Trudeau. I mean I get it, Alaric is a tool and he makes it real easy to want to punch him in the face…but there’s a time and place for everything. I realize that I could have just let those two have their way with Alaric after the match and went about my business, but as much as I don’t like the guy I don’t like being cheated out of a legit title defense even more. I signed the contract for the hell in a cell match because I wanted to beat him and shut him up once and for all. But the Elitists screwed that all up.
Gunner pauses again and gets an angry look in his eyes as the crowd continues to show heat for The Elitists.
Gould: Well The Elitists sure don’t many friends here do they?
Torres: I doubt they care much about what these people think.
Gunner: And now in the aftermath Mason Battle is running around referring to himself as the king of the NAW. A king…here we go again.
Gunner shakes his head and takes a quick glance at the NAW Championship that is draped over his shoulder.
Gunner: I guess Mason Battle didn’t learn from the last guy who tried that approach, so at our next supershow Revenge I’m gonna have a whole lot of fun teaching him first hand!
Torres: What?
Gould: Is he challenging Mason Battle to a match at Revenge?
Gunner: Mason Battle, you’ve been claiming to be the king of the NAW, you got involved my business at All Hallow’s Horror…and now for this you have to pay the price…
Gunner gets an evil looking grin on his face.
Gunner: …and I intend to settle that debt at Revenge!
The fans cheer at the sounds of a Gunner Hughes versus mason Battle match.
Gould: These fans sure like the sounds of that challenge!
Gunner: And I know you’re gonna accept my challenge Battle because I have no problem putting my NAW Championship on the line. That’s what you wanted all along am I right? A chance to actually hold the crown that you’ve been fantasizing about? Well now it’s time to put your money where your mouth is Battle and meet the real king. His name…
Gunner lifts the title belt from his shoulder and holds it above his head.
Gunner: …is Gunner Hu
Just then, Gunner’s voice is cut off by the sounds "Light'em Up" by Fall Out Boy playing through the PA system. Alaric Trudeau walks out on the entrance ramp with a microphone in his hand and he’s glaring down at the ring where Gunner is standing.
Torres: Well here’s a guy who probably didn’t like the sound of Gunner’s challenge!
Alaric stands on the stage and maintains his glare towards the ring. After a few seconds his music stops playing and he raises the mic to his mouth.
Alaric: Now correct me if I’m wrong, but did I just hear you say that you were challenging Mason Battle to a match at Revenge…and putting the NAW Championship on the line? Is that really what I just heard Gunner?
Inside the ring Gunner responds.
Gunner: Yeah I’m glad you’re hearing is working Alaric, that’s exactly what I just said. I’m guessing you have a problem with that?
Alaric shakes his head in disgust.
Alaric: Oh you’re guessing? After what went down at All Hallow’s Horror you’re guessing I have a problem with your little challenge? Once again I get screwed out of my title opportunity and once again you squirm away with that title belt. I should be standing inside that ring with the NAW Championship…not you! We both know that!
Gunner starts to lighten up a bit and get a slight grin on his face.
Gunner: So what…you looking for another rematch? I mean come on Alaric, I beat you two times now. Isn’t it starting to get a little embarrassing?
Gunner laughs and Alaric remains stoic as he just takes the verbal jab. He then raises his mic to his mouth and responds.
Alaric: Embarrassing? No Gunner it’s not embarrassing. Your wardrobe? That’s embarrassing. You’re haircut…embarrassing. The people you’ve beaten to create your title run. That’s embarrassing too. But the fact that you continue to find ways to escape a real fight with me? That’s beyond embarrassing…that’s pathetic. Especially from somebody who calls himself a champion.
Gunner’s appears to be in thought for a few moments but then he nods his head, knowing that Alaric has some credibility to what he’s claiming due to what transpired at All Hallow’s Horror at the hands of Mason Battle.
Gunner: Well you know what Alaric, you want another shot at the title then fine…as soon as I’m done with Battle you got it. But first thing’s first…Battle is a dead man at Revenge!
The fans cheer and Alaric thinks about Gunner’s response and offer. After a few seconds he shakes his head as he responds.
Alaric: You know what, how do I know you can even beat Mason Battle? You lose the NAW Championship to him and then what? I’m back to square one? No Gunner, our score is far from settled and besides…you’re not the only one who wants to get his hands on Mason Battle. You want to prove you’re a real fighting champion? Then why not make this match at Revenge a triple threat match?
The fans actually cheer for Alaric’s idea and Gunner smiles and raises the mic to his mouth.
Gunner: And why would I want to do that Alaric?
Alaric wastes no time in his response as he fires back.
Alaric: Because you owe me the legit title shot! And because if I can help it…Mason Battle won’t even make it to Revenge! Don’t forget that he stuck his nose in my business too.
Gunner thinks a few moments about the match being offered. He wanted nothing more than to get his hands on Mason Battle and kill his claims of being the king of the NAW. But Alaric was like an itch that just wouldn’t go away no matter how hard he scratched, so maybe this would be his chance to be rid of him once and for all. He nods his head and smiles.
Gunner: Fine Alaric...a triple threat match it is then. Two birds, one stone I guess. Let’s end this once and for all.
Alaric smiles.
Alaric: Yeah…I was thinking the same thing. See you soon, keep that title warm for me.
Alaric’s music hits again and he smiles at Gunner with a menacing grin on his face before as he turns and disappears into the backstage.
Torres: Did you hear that guys? A triple threat match at Revenge!
Moser: And for the NAW Championship!
Gould: This is going to be huge!
Gunner is shown exiting inside the ring with a satisfied look on his face as Meltdown cuts to commercial.

As we return from commercial the camera shows the ringside area.
Gould: Welcome back to Meltdown it is now time for our opening contest.
Moser:

Rebecca: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a first round match in the NAW Horizon Championship tournament. Making his way to the ring from Green Bay, Wisconsin, standing at 6’1 and weighing in at 225 pounds Matt Lane.
Small Town Minds" by MxPx hits the PA system and Matt Lane walks to the ring to a chorus of boos from the fans. When he gets to the ring he enters it and climbs a turnbuckle and raises his arms. He then jumps off of the turnbuckle and the music stops playing.
Gould: Matt Lane looks focused.
Moser: He knows that this is his chance to become a champion.
Torres: He’s going to win this tournament and make Alex Morgan proud.
Rebecca: Introducing his opponent from Rock Fence Crossroads, Georgia, standing 6 foot 3 inches and weighing 238 pounds…Bohannon!!
The atmosphere inside the arena changes from boos to cheers as Bohannon walks out from the back and heads to the ring. He removes his t-shirt and climbs inside, then he tests the ropes as the music stops.
Gould: This man has been impressive on NAW.
Moser: He’s undefeated and wants to keep his streak alive tonight.
Torres: I hope he losses.
As the bell rings both men walk to the center of the ring, Bohannon goes for a tie-up but Matt Lane kicks Bohannon in the gut and then punches him on the head knocking him down. Lane then taunts the fans and they boo him.
Gould: That’s a cheap shot.
Moser: The fans don’t like it.
Torres: But I love it.
Lane stops taunting the fans and stomps on Bohannon. Lane then forces Bohannon up and goes for a suplex but Bohannon reverses it into a suplex of his own. Both men stand up and Bohannon runs and close lines lane. Lane gets up and runs to Bohannon who hip tosses him. Lane gets up and Bohannon body slams him.
Gould: Bohannon is on fire.
Torres: I think he’s getting ready to do some big moves now.
Torres: In that case don’t get up Matt.
Lane gets up and Bohannon grabs him and T-Bone suplexes him. Both men stand up and Bohannon grabs Lane and tiger suplexes him and then pins him. The ref counts.

The camera then shows the ringside area.

Elizabeth Taylor vs Theodore Justice
Rebecca: The following contest is scheduled for on fall and is a first round match is the Horizon Championship tournament. Introducing first from London England standing at 5’5and weighing in at 125 pounds Elizabeth Taylor.
Gunfight by Sick Puppies blasts throughout the arena as pink and purple flashlights hit the entrance. Once the chorus kicks in, Leah Belle and Lizzy Taylor come running out from behind the curtains. The two ladies stand at the top of the ramp with the fingers pointed like pistols as sparks ignite the stage. As they make their way down the ramp, they slap a few fans hands before running and sliding into the ring together. Once they are back on their feet they each stand at a corner in the ring doing a ‘Pistol Salute’ to the fans as their music dies down.
Gould: Last week they shocked everybody by The Pistols joining Elitist.
Moser: Everybody is wondering if that will play a factor in this match and the rest of the tournament.
Torres: No they aren’t because Elizabeth can handle things on her own.
Rebecca: Introducing his opponent from Washington DC standing at 5’10 and weighing in at 217 pounds he is "The Prodigy" Theodore Justice.
As “Hail To The Chief” by US Marine Band begins to play Theodore Justice walks out from behind the curtains and begins to wave at fans as if they all love him, completely oblivious to whether they're actually booing him or cheering him on when he gets to the ring he climbs onto the ring apron and then enters the ring.
Gould: This man is on a losing streak.
Moser: But looking to rebuild himself in this tournament.
Torres: This guy has lost so many times that even I’m struggling to be impressed by him.
As the bell rings Taylor and Justice walk to the center of the ring and Taylor slaps Justice. Justice then goes for a punch but Taylor ducks it and then slaps Justice again. Justice goes for another punch but Taylor again ducks it and then snapmare takeovers Justice and holds onto it.
Gould: Elizabeth is making a fool out of Justice.
Moser: But look at him getting angry about it.
Torres: I’m still not impressed by him.

David Fraggle: I know what you’re going to say.
Lluvia then barges into the room.
Lluvia: Yes it’s true you’re all puppets and I’m the one pulling your strings but I’m willing to stop all of my madness if I get what I really want.
David Fraggle: What do you really want?
Lluvia: To find out how well you two really get on. David tonight you’re going to be his Eric’s manager for the main event and protect him from whatever Jason Price had planned for him. However here’s the thing if both of you fail to make it back here untouched then I still get to have my fun.
Scene fades with David and Eric both looking at each other.

Gould: Lluvia is crazy.
Moser: What will she do if David Fraggle and Eric Ambrose don’t make it to the back in one piece?

Moser: Finally someone has done the right thing.
Torres: He has no business being out here.

As Eric Ambrose checks on David Fraggle Jason Price is seen rolling to the ropes. He looks outside the ring and sees Bohannon standing outside the ring. Jason Price and Bohannon have a stare down as the show ends.
