The scene opens up and the close up view of a moose head is seen staring into the camera. The head is completely still and the glassy eyes gaze coldly into the camera, and as the view slowly begins to zoom out and the moose head is revealed to be a stuffed replica mounted over a fireplace inside a large room. The view continues to zoom out and more stuffed heads are seen on the wall around the fireplace as well; an elk, a bear, a wild boar, and several various antlered deer. Past the fireplace, a desk is seen in the corner of the room with a file cabinet behind it and a bookshelf against the wall on the other side. Behind the desk is somebody sitting in a chair with their back to the camera, looking out of a large bay window and into the wilderness that can be seen outside. He has a drink in his hand and he lifts it to his mouth and sips from it before slowly turning to face the camera, revealing himself to be Gunner Hughes. He leans forward and sets the drink on the desk, then he rests his elbows on the surface and folds his hands together before looking into the camera with a focused stare.
Gunner: “Hello, and welcome to my home in Portland, Oregon. This is my den, my sanctuary away from the rest of the world where I like to come and reflect on what challenges I have overcome in my lifetime, and also what challenges still lie ahead of me. Because you see, in this world there are two types of animal, there are predators…..”
He briefly glances up towards the group of stuffed heads on the wall.
Gunner: “And then there are prey. As we walk through life, we make daily choices that signify which of these two groups we fall under, and some try real hard to act like they belong to one group or the other. But the thing is, no matter how hard you try…..you can’t fight nature. All living things are created to serve a certain purpose in this world, and eventually for all of us that purpose is to simply exist as nourishment for a higher power.”
He gets up out of the chair and heads towards the fireplace, motioning to the large set of stuffed animals mounted on the wall as he continues.
Gunner: “As you can tell, in my spare time I am quite the avid hunter. If you look out that window over there, you can see the beautiful country that my home state of Oregon has to offer. Over the years I have collected my share of trophies from not only from out there, but from all around the country. The game of pursuit is in my blood, it has always been what I’m most passionate about. There’s no greater thrill than to choose a target and then obsess about how you will take them down. You think of nothing else but their weaknesses as you spend hours upon hours of analyzing them, planning your every move so that when the moment of truth arrives your strike can be quick and effective. Out there in the wild exists a world where the largest most dominant animal is king and nothing can stop it. It takes what it wants, acts how it wants, and it feeds off of everything around it. But there comes a time when even the most dominant animal meets his match, and he’s forced to step in line with the rest of the sheep, or otherwise become the prey himself.”
Gunner glances up to the set of trophies once more, and then he turns and glares into the camera even deeper, appearing to be trying to burn a hole right into the lens with his stare as he continues.
Gunner: “Judas Fraggle, unfortunately for you….as primitive as it sounds, this rule of nature applies to life in the WBSW as well. You have been running rampant for weeks, having your way with every WBSW superstar you come in contact with and there has been nobody who has been able to stop you. But now the time has come for a more dominant force to take over and send you back to the rest of the herd. You see Judas, there’s a reason that you kept your distance from me when you came out during my last two matches, and that reason is because hard as you try to convince the rest of the WBSW that you are the most powerful force in the wrestling industry, deep down you know that as soon as you have to face me your time as the dominant superstar in the WBSW will be up. You know that even with David at your side you still won’t have enough to beat me inside that ring. Well guess what Fraggles? That moment that that you’ve been trying to avoid for the past two weeks…..that moment has now arrived! This week when you and David walk out to that ring there won’t be another one of your victims standing in the opposite corner, but instead a man who is prepared to walk through hell and back in order to beat you.”
Gunner walks over to the desk and picks up his drink, sipping it once more before setting it back down and leaning up against the desk with his arms crossed. He again glares into the camera as he continues on.
Gunner: “I heard the comments made by you and your manager David Fraggle this week, about how motivated you are, and about how you don’t think I deserve to be in the spotlight. Well Judas, this week prepare to be proven wrong. You may think of yourself as a predator in the WBSW, and up until now you just may have been right about that. But now a bigger, more dominant force has arrived, and now you are outmatched…..now you turn from the predator to the prey!”
Gunner laughs, and the camera slowly begins to zoom in on his face.
Gunner: “So despite all of the false claims that you and your manager have made this week, and despite your opinions on where I fit in in the title picture in the WBSW….when that bell rings it will be time for the talking to all come to an end. As much hype as your manager tries to surround you with, the truth will come to the surface when we finally lock horns and I show you what true power really is.”
The view finishes zooming in on his face, focusing on his intense stare as he growls into the camera.
Gunner: “Prepare to be humbled Judas Fraggle….prepare for Gunner Hughes!”
The scene fades to black.
