Coming off his loss at Hall of Fame Mercer runs over in his head everything that went wrong, he almost had him where he wanted but couldn't get the finish. He thinks about his training and what he could have done different, he thinks about his attitude going in to the match but in the end the conclusion he comes to is he got beat by the better man.
Mercer: But he's not the better man, I am. I'm the best superstar on this roster and I should never have lost to a guy like him.
Stewing in his anger Mercer reaches picks up his bag and exits the locker room slamming the door as he does so, he walks through the halls muttering and rambling to himself, he passes a few superstars who try and congratulate him on a hard fought match but he is so consume by his rage that he completely blanks them.
Making it to the car park he finds his car, enters it and then wheel spins out of the arena. Mercer turns on the mp3 player and tries to calm himself down, a car in front turns off without signalling and this sets Mercer off again, he shouts and swears towards the car what just drives off into the distance.
Mercer: I need to find a gym!
Pulling out his phone Mercer checks google for near by gyms and finds a local MMA place 5 miles from where he is, he gets the directions off google maps and heads over there.
Mercer: I need to let off some steam....I can't believe I couldn't finish..Stupid..Weak..Pathetic.
Mercer pulls up on the car park and quickly exits the car and walks towards the gym, a muscle heavy guy walks out the door and barges into Mercer as he enters. Mercer, who already is in a bad mood flips, he grabs the guy and tackles him to the ground with a leg sweep, he stands above the guy who quickly enters the foetal position.
Mercer: Who'd you think you are huh? You think you can push into to me huh? How about stand up so I can knock you back down on your ass boy. GET UP!
The man on the floor although big is clearly not a fighter as he wants nothing to do with Mercer, but Mercer doesn't care he is pissed off and this guy managed to push him over the edge. Mercer rains down lefts and rights to the guy's head and the man on the ground does all he can to cover up, he big arms struggle to cover his face so he turns over onto his stomach and covers his head; Mercer just keeps striking away, then a few people from inside the gym run out and grab hold of Mercer's arms preventing him from punching. There is a big struggle between Mercer and the two men holding him who keep telling him to calm down, one man loses grip then Mercer tries to break free with his other but is unable to when a third man comes out to help restrain him.
Mercer: Let me go...I'll kill him...Let me...
Mercer get cut short with the sound of a siren and the flash of the light causes him to snap out of his rage. The officer pulls up the scene and steps out of his car.
Officer: So, what's going on here then?
He looks towards Mercer waiting for an answer but Mercer remains quiet, then the cop checks on the downed guy and asks him if he is all right, the guy just nods and feels secure enough to turn over and sit up.
Officer: So fella, do you want me to arrest this guy or has it all been a misunderstanding?
The beat up guy glances at Mercer then looks down at the floor, he rubs his head and then exhales.
Beat up guy: Nah it's okay officer, he hits like a bitch.
Mercer growls and tries to break free of the three man hold he is in but can't, the beat up guy then stands up with a little wobble as he does,
Beat up guy: Leave him tonight officer, I'm sure you'll bump in to him again sooner or later.
The policeman turns to Mercer
Officer: Now listen here, I want you to get back in that car of yours and leave. Consider this a luck escape but if I run into you again I ain't going to be so lenient... Now get out of here.
Mercer nods to the warning and knows that losing a match and getting locked up in the same night is never a good combination, so Mercer gets freed and walks to his car and drives off.
Mercer: Well I did let of some steam
Mercer laughs as he drives home
