"It's off with my head you say?"
Alice watches the end of Helena's video package with an intrigued look on her face. Lounging there on the edge of her bed, she closes the browser on her laptop and looks at the mirror behind the vanity table to her right. Getting up and walking towards the table, she pulls the chair out and sits down at it, looking at her reflection. She's still sporting some of the bruises from her brutal Briefcase of Choice match but they aren't as noticeable as they once were but the marks still remain. Running her hand gently along her cheek for a moment, she smirks and places both her hands down on the table, still staring intently at her own reflection.
"I have experience but you have knowledge... They say knowledge is power, they say that the pen is mightier than the sword... Sun Tzu said if you know yourself and know your enemy you need not fear the outcome of any battle and that victory will be assured..."
Alice leans back and lets her head hang backwards as she looks up at the ceiling before lowering it again so she can see herself in the mirror.
"Helena... Have you not considered the mere possibility I only allowed you to see what I wanted you to see? Have you not considered I only let you learn about me what I wanted you to learn? Have you not realized that experience counts for everything in this business? It is one thing to watch your opponent, to study them, to see their ways... But until you step in the ring and look them in the eyes... Until you feel their body against yours, their sweat on your skin, their blood on your hands, their body beneath yours as you press against them with every ounce of strength you have to either pin them to the canvas or make them tap out due to the agony you are subjecting them to, your knowledge is nothing...."
Letting her eyes move from her face, Alice looks down at her forearms which are covered in marks.
"The Hatebringer, The Wolf, Trent, The Future, all of them had watched me in action, tried to learn what I was like, but it was only through experience that they truly learned about me... You would be better taking note of their tales rather than spinning your own because you have no idea what you are setting yourself up for"
Reaching out, Alice picks up a tube of lipstick and smiles. The deep blood red shade gives her an idea as she slowly twists it's base and holds it up, her eyes fixed on it.
"Like I said, the bullet with your name on is the one you keep close so no one can kill you with it... I offered that gift to my opponents and none of them could do it... What makes you think that you can do the same?"
Moving the lipstick tube to her neck, Alice starts to draw a dotted line across her neck.
"You say that your legacy, the lineage of the executioners, the bringers of death is a rich and deep one. You say that when we cross paths you will take my head and take my life... Helena, this excites me. Fenrir promised to meet me on the field of battle and take me to Valhalla personally, Trent Brown promised to treat me like his equal and greatest threat and the Hatebringer promised to make me feel exactly what everyone else who has came across his path felt... Only the Hatebringer truly lived up to his promise... Can you live up to yours?"
Pointing to her neck, Alice smirks.
"Can you take my head by force or should I simply offer you it like you claim I have offered you the knowledge in how to beat me? Would you be able to fulfill this promise you made? If I run into the Evil Queen would you carry out my sentence?"
Staring into her own reflection once more, Alice tilts her head to the right a little and looks at herself again.
"Or will you just disappoint me? Like the white rabbit which goes in its hole and retreats back home after luring me in with the promise of adventure only to let me down because it is not the rabbit which I hunt, but the great bull of NAW... And you Helena... You are the rabbit... You are merely a distraction, something of little importance or consequence..."
Standing up, Alice turns her back on the mirror.
"And unfortunately, I do not have time for unimportant things... Not when my date with destiny draws close..."
Reaching down, Alice opens a draw and pulls out a small pouch and a revolver. Placing the revolver on the surface, she empties the pouch next to it as two bullets fall out. Picking them up, she runs her thumb across them before loading them into opposite chambers in the revolver. Holding the gun up in the air, she slaps the barrel with her hand, letting it spin before it comes to a stop.
"In this gun, there are two bullets, one with my name on, one with yours..."
Pointing the gun at her temple for a moment, Alice teases the trigger before spinning round into a shooter's stance and pulling the trigger, sending the round from the chamber into the mirror. Despite the round being a fake, the force of the projectile manages to smash the mirror still. flicking the chamber out, Alice pulls out the empty shell casing and gently blows on it before placing it on one of the larger fragments of broken glass.
"It looks like the bullet left is the one with my name on.... Come Helena, make me taste it"
