The False Dawn.
Fenrir: "I know I have said this many a time Valkryie, but you are worthy of that title. A bold and fearless warrior, the likes of which are very far and few between... Someone who understands the game people like us play... The thrill of the hunt, the battle between survival and extinction, the coming end of time... Whilst we may be destined to cross paths again but coming from opposite sides instead of journeying together, know that I will respect you and your warrior's spirit"
Alice: "You are too kind Wolf... But I must return the compliments. Noble and fierce, adept in a team or alone, you are the true embodiment of the very essence the lupine species in human form... Keen, ruthless, dangerous and intelligent... I could ask for no better person to have my back in a time like this where personal struggles are put to one side to prevent things from happening which should not happen yet"
Fenrir: "So you sense it too.... The false dawn of Ragnarok.... The premature end... Almost as if someone is trying to change the natural order and control the golden cord of Fate itself?"
Alice: "Yes. Events here... Things are not right... Yes, there is strife everywhere, some manufactured, some natural and some as a consequence of the actions of others, but here... It is accelerated, almost like there is some event which has the potential to happen should circumstances dictate it... Like an urgent need to push the hands of time forwards"
Fenrir: "But for what? What possible gains could someone make from such a chaotic state of affairs. Surely if they sought destruction then their only prize would be to rule over the ruins of man? Such a hollow prize for the lengths at which they are going to..."
Alice: "Sometimes it is not the prize which appeals, but the sensation of victory itself... That feeling of fulfillment and being able to watch the resulting consequences of an action, that is what seems to drive our current foes"
Fenrir: "Yes... Their very name speaks of that mentality, the gate crashers... Showing up and altering the present moment, trying to create a future of their own with no regards to the past and what the past has taught them..."
Alice: "History is always doomed to repeat itself Fenrir... There are those who seek entropy and power and will stop at nothing to attain it, they would burn the Earth just so they could rule over the ashes, their minds are so focused on their goal they lose sight of everything else around them, and that is where they come undone..."
Fenrir: "Yes, whilst they tried to take down NAW from the top, you rose up from out of nowhere and inserted yourself into a battle which you have been destined to partake in since the first day you set foot in here..."
Alice: "And that is why when we clash with The Renegades, The Apex Predators and The Jeckels, we must take care as not to upset the destined battle between champion and challenger"
Fenrir: "The Jeckels... Do they not concern you given how you beat one of their kind recently?"
Alice: "Whilst I may be level with the Jeckels in terms of results, having won one and lost one, neither of them have defeated me personally. Should those who worship the dead wish to become one of their ilk, I shall have no qualms in granting them that which they are so desperate to achieve"
Moving her hand towards her hip, Fenrir notices the pistol in its holster and smiles.
Fenrir: "Armed as always, prepared to strike at any moment's notice..."
Alice: "What of The Renegades? What do you plan to do with them given how they got involved but are falling apart at the seams, ravaged by the green eyed demon and the stirring of a forbidden passion?"
Fenrir: "They will destroy themselves. We should be wary of them, but in the grander scheme of things, we should ensure they do not pose a problem in the long run... We need to melt the fragile strands of glue which are holding them together and let emotions and impulse decisions do the rest for us...."
Alice: "That just leaves us with the Predators...."
Fenrir: "More importantly, The Bull..."
Alice: "Yes... The Bull... The Hatebringer... The man who promised he would face me and the man who kept his word... My date with destiny..."
Fenrir: "Is this more than feeling that fire inside of you Valkyrie? More than the fulfillment of a promise from an imposing warrior?"
Alice: "The Hatebringer made me feel something I had not felt for a long time Wolf... It gave me direction and focus, allowed me to abandon all restraints and to head straight for him as blindly as our reckless mutual enemies..."
Fenrir: "So you too would be one who would burn the world just to rule the ashes?"
Alice: "No... For what use is a burned world where no one is there to oppose me should I seize control of it? I would rather die in the apocalyptic flames than be the survivor in a desolate place... Which is why, should I triumph, I will use the new legacy to end the insurrection which those who seek the false dawn have tried to bring about...."
Fenrir: "So you will still fight?"
Alice: "I will fight until the one who has the bullet with my name on it finally pulls the trigger on me... And know this wolf... There is only one who I would trust to pull the trigger..."
Fenrir: "I see..."
Alice: "Though we may be allies, we are destined to face off yet again... And though I have no doubt in your ability Wolf, I like to keep things.... interesting"
Alice: "When the Wolf next hunts, The Valkyrie would like to accompany him.... Seek me out once you have 'their scent' and we shall bring the fight to them"

Instead of being out in the middle of the woods, the domain of Fenrir, Alice and her newfound ally and partner( whilst circumstances dictate it out of necessity) Fenrir instead find themselves in a part of town which looks very similar to the area where Alice cut an earlier segment.
Standing in a disused inner city basketball court near a derelict block of apartments which had slowly begun to show the signs of losing their battle with time - paint cracked and brickwork exposed, graffiti and gang tags creating surreal images on the walls and wall climbing plants slowly working their way up the building, reclaiming the concrete jungle in the name of mother nature. Sitting on opposite sides of a burning oil drum round sunset, Alice and Fenrir are talking.

Fenrir, sat on an upturned shopping cart leans back slightly and runs his hand across his chin before smirking.
Fenrir: "So you sense it too.... The false dawn of Ragnarok.... The premature end... Almost as if someone is trying to change the natural order and control the golden cord of Fate itself?"

Standing up from her seat - a near enough destroyed couch, Alice approaches the fire and gazes into the dancing flames. Holding her hands out towards it, she warms them for a moment before speaking, all the while, her gaze transfixed on the red, orange and yellow dancing flames.

Alice: "And that is why when we clash with The Renegades, The Apex Predators and The Jeckels, we must take care as not to upset the destined battle between champion and challenger"
Fenrir stands up himself now and approaches the fire. Looking through the flames, he catches Alice's eye as she looks up at him.

Fenrir: "So you will still fight?"
Alice reaches into her pocket and pulls out a bullet. Walking round the fire, she takes Fenrir's hand in both of hers and places it firmly into his, clenching his fingers around it whilst still keeping her grip on it.
Alice: "I will fight until the one who has the bullet with my name on it finally pulls the trigger on me... And know this wolf... There is only one who I would trust to pull the trigger..."
Feeling the brass and steel bullet in his palm, Fenrir looks Alice in the eyes and nods.
Fenrir: "I see..."
Alice: "Though we may be allies, we are destined to face off yet again... And though I have no doubt in your ability Wolf, I like to keep things.... interesting"
Before Fenrir can say anything further, Alice releases his hand, looping her hands around Fenrir's neck and presses her lips against his in a lingering kiss. After letting a few seconds pass, she releases her hands from his head and backs away before turning round, Leaving Fenrir standing there with the bullet still in his hand. Walking towards the broken down gate of the court, Alice stops, her back still turned to Fenrir.
Alice: "When the Wolf next hunts, The Valkyrie would like to accompany him.... Seek me out once you have 'their scent' and we shall bring the fight to them"
