Alice sat the pen down on the table and looked back over the words she had laboured over on the paper. Writing letters like this, even if most never made it out of her home was helpful to Alice who now found herself alone, something she had become more than accustomed to recently.
Her brief liaison and alliance with Fenrir seemed to have ended as they proved that NAW will always triumph over the forces who choose to unsettle it, and with the big five on five match coming up in the next few weeks, people were wondering who would be facing off in the battle for control.
She missed Fenrir on some ways more than she did in others. His keen insight, his analytical mind, his fight with your first as well as your words mindset. He was someone who seemed to understand her to an extent, and she hoped that she understood him to the same level. They may have only had one or two brief physical encounters of the kissing kind and that was all that happened between them. Did she feel a spark? Perhaps... But she knew that this wasn't the time for intimacy and gratification on a carnal level, this was time for war and in war, it's best not to get too attached because when one person falls, you lose all control, no matter how hard you try to maintain it.
Allowing her mind to wander for just a moment, Alice quickly snapped herself back to attention. Looking down at her desk, next to the paper she had been penning her thoughts on was her iPad which was paused. Tapping the screen to bring it to life again, it started to air one of Erin's earlier matches - the one with her against Helena Jeckel. The brunette paid close attention, watching how her opponent moved in the ring and the type of attacks she used, noting where she could readily exploit her weaknesses.
Alice was far from impressed with the newly crowned Hardcore Champion. After seeing enough, she closed the video and looked at herself in the mirror.
Alice looked down at her hand and looked at the cut across it. It was healing up and the minor irritation didn't bother her. She'd suffered worse, at her own hands and at the hands of others but every scar and mark was one she wore with pride.

"Perception is a mysterious thing. It makes the world go round. It dictates every single moment of our lives... The food we eat, the clothes we wear, the political affiliation, religious belief, what we find attractive and what we see as good or popular. It is like water, it changes constantly, it takes on the form of its container and it can be re-shaped to suit the purpose it is needed for.
You seem to have this perception that I actually give a shit about you Erin.
You seem to believe that I actually hold interest in the Horizon title... The second tier belt in a three tier singles title company like NAW. If you would have paid attention to what I said last time I directed a message to you, then you would know I only have eyes for one belt here, and that is the belt which Corey Bull holds, the Legacy title...
For you see, if you knew nothing of NAW and its politics, power struggles and employees, all you knew was it had a hardcore title, a horizon title and a legacy title... But you did not know which title was regarded as the top tier one... You would naturally assume the legacy one was because face it, the definition of legacy says enough about the belt it has been attributed to. A legacy is important to people, it is one of the few things which remain after they depart this mortal world for whatever lies when what we believe "life" is ends.
Horizon, yes, it may hold some prestige, but when I see the word horizon, I automatically think flat. Think about it for a moment - you look out across the coastline at night, you see the sun dipping below the horizon... It is from our viewpoint, a flat plane which things can either go below or rise up from. What use is a title which represents a foundation upon which to build on?
You might argue that by holding the Horizon championship, you are setting the foundations for the Legacy, and this may be true, but can you really, honestly tell me that an egocentric child like yourself aspires to hold what is considered to be the middle title? Someone who has invested so much time into inflating their own skewed perceptions of themselves is satisfied to be seen as second best?
If you try to argue it, I will call bullshit on it every single time....
Why?
It's just like I said previously... You are everything which is wrong with how we females are perceived in this industry. Whilst some of us actually attempt to get ahead on skill and skill alone, you happily rely on your image and lacklustre opposition in order to rack up this "Undefeated" run you keep going on about... So you haven't lost a match in your first couple here? Bully for you.... I stood toe to toe with the legacy champion in my fourth match... Who exactly have you faced? Who is the opponent you have beaten which should make me feel impressed ? Helena Jeckel... I've beaten her and her brothers... A.J Flare? Never heard of them... Do you honestly expect me to actually find what you have accomplished so far relevant?
Like I said, I will never respect you Erin. You are what makes the old guard look at the new generation with so much contempt. You believe you are entitled to something when you haven't even proven that you deserve anything. By thinking you cost me the Legacy title, you are yet again looking at things from your own warped view. I kicked out after your effort and continued to fight on... You were but a scratch compared to the hell Corey inflicted upon me and when you come at me with looks first, underhanded tricks second and talent struggling to keep up, I will react the same way as I did at Revenge... I will continue, I will defy your dreams and pull the mask off and show everyone that behind the pretty face you put on is just a hollow and empty generic annoying brat"

"I wish he was here to talk to..."
She missed Fenrir on some ways more than she did in others. His keen insight, his analytical mind, his fight with your first as well as your words mindset. "I can just picture it now... Him calling me Valkyrie and brandishing his axe whilst I fend him off with the shield... Always wondering whether he will sink his teeth into me the moment my guard is down...."
Allowing her mind to wander for just a moment, Alice quickly snapped herself back to attention. The brunette paid close attention, watching how her opponent moved in the ring and the type of attacks she used, noting where she could readily exploit her weaknesses.
"Generic, predictable... Using moves to emphasise her looks more than her supposed talent..."
Alice was far from impressed with the newly crowned Hardcore Champion. After seeing enough, she closed the video and looked at herself in the mirror.
"Image counts for far too much in this industry... I don't care if I am found attractive or not, people respect me for my ability and that has been made abundantly clear. I doubt Corey Bull, Trent Brown or Fenrir would have fought me with the conviction which they did if I was someone like Erin who was obsessed with looking the part more than playing the part... I'm a better athlete, I am a better performer, I can hold my own against the elite here and I have no care for the affairs of those who seek glory in mediocrity..."
Alice looked down at her hand and looked at the cut across it. It was healing up and the minor irritation didn't bother her. She'd suffered worse, at her own hands and at the hands of others but every scar and mark was one she wore with pride.
"Erin, you think you can bleed me out? I ask you to take your best shot... I ask you to give me everything you have... Because you're going to need it... I just hope your wife is skilled in personal care, because once I wrap those braces around your throat and throw you aside, proving you've never faced top talent here, she's going to be feeding you, dressing you, bathing you and wiping your ass for you.... But then again, with the amount of shit you seem to talk, she must be used to that already.... Erin, you will regret the day you tried to make your name at my expense."
