Punch, punch, kick. Punch, punch, kick.
It was the same routine Alice always started with on the bag. Throwing a right, then a left then a right roundhouse kick, then switching it to a left, then a right, then a left roundhouse kick. She always kept the same the rhythm going to ensure she delivered each blow with the same precision and power.
Despite being the champion and having some of the perks which came with it - more money, sponsorships, endorsements, advertising and what not, she preferred to keep it simple, sticking to what she knew and what she was comfortable with. The gym she always used, as run down as it looked was a safe haven for her away from the outside, away from the distractions and those determined to bring her down.
Punch, punch, kick. Punch, punch, kick.
It was still the same as always. People talking themselves up, making claims they cannot seem to back up. As she continued to warm up on the bag, Alice's thoughts went towards Erin. It was no secret the brunette despised the young blonde. It wasn't just the usual two girls hate each other because they are girls, it was far more than that. Alice hated every single thing about Erin. Her looks, her attitude, her falseness, her ego, her inability to realise just how out of her depth she is.
Punch, punch, kick. Punch, punch, kick.
Punch, punch... Kick!
The impact of the roundhouse was a little greater than Alice had anticipated, swinging the bag far more than it should have and disrupting her rhythm significantly. Shaking her head and undoing the tape around her knuckles, Alice retreated to the bench. Wiping the sweat off with a towel and taking a long drink of water, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
Slowly exhaling, Alice looks up at the ceiling, her eyes focused on a flickering fluorescent light tube.
Alice clenches her fists for a moment before slowly relaxing them.
Standing up, Alice limbers up initially before she bends over, beginning to stretch herself out, touching her left foot with her right hand, and then right foot with left hand several times in succession before shaking her arms out a little.
Walking back towards the bag, Alice begins to throw quick consecutive right roundhouse kicks at it then switches to left ones, trying to maintain the steady rhythm she usually keeps.
Lowering her leg, Alice plants it firmly down on the floor before stepping forwards, rotating counter clockwise and letting her fist fly, rocking the bag with a spinning backfist.

"She calls herself the Queen of NAW... She holds the lowest tier title and couldn't beat me by playing dirty... I would love to know just what she's taking to make her so deluded because last time I checked, I had the title everyone gave a shit about... I was the name on everyone's lips... I was the one who was the one to watch... The one to beat... The one to talk about..."
Punch, punch, kick. Punch, punch, kick.
"Bohannon praised me... I too have praise for you Bohannon... You treated me as an equal... You pushed me to the limit and you fought me like your life depended on it... Fate has other plans for you it seems, but our paths will cross again... All roads lead to Rome as they say... Corey may have took the right, heading out into the wilderness to do what he has to do, you carried on down the road you travelled before just like I travelled down the road I was always on... But we will reach another crossroads, and again, we will have the same stakes at hand, drive on into the sunset to fight another day, or go out in a fiery crash with a blaze of glory!"
Punch, punch... Kick!

Shaking her head and undoing the tape around her knuckles, Alice retreated to the bench. "Trenton... I wonder if you're ready to face me yet? I can only assume since you've been quiet, you and Steph have been preparing, studying, readying yourselves for the biggest match of your NAW career so far... I mean, you're facing the new Legacy champion... You have to pull out all the stops right?"
Slowly exhaling, Alice looks up at the ceiling, her eyes focused on a flickering fluorescent light tube.
"I will admit it, when I was first booked to face Corey all those months ago, I was terrified. On the surface I looked confident initially. I knew this was a golden opportunity to show exactly what I could do with all eyes on me, and I reached out with both hands and clung to it, refusing to let it go... I put my everything into that match, I lost some friends because I was more concerned about making an impression than saving myself for the briefcase match... People thought I was being fed to the lions but it was far from it... I was being baptized in fire and I came out with a few burns but stronger for it...."
Alice clenches her fists for a moment before slowly relaxing them.
"Allow me to offer you the same courtesy... Please, come at me with everything you have. The belt might not be on the line, but pride and reputation are. Can you give it all Trenton? Can you come at me and fight me like an equal? Can you do it on your own, no one to back you up? Can you walk out there, and do what only one man has managed to do and pin me to the canvas and beat me by your own hand?"
Standing up, Alice limbers up initially before she bends over, beginning to stretch herself out, touching her left foot with her right hand, and then right foot with left hand several times in succession before shaking her arms out a little.
"You have two ways to approach our dance Trenton... You can come at me, one on one, no Steph to run interference for you and you can fight me with everything you have to prove to everyone you can cut it here, that you are someone to be taken seriously, to be watched and talked about in the same way I was... You can put on one hell of a show, get match of the night and be respected by your peers and the fans... Or you can come at me much like Erin did - use every trick in the book to try and undermine me because I am probably the most skilled opponent you will face in NAW. You can try to cheat your way to a hollow victory and whilst you might move yourself up in the pecking order, scoring a win over the champ... You'll never be respected for your ability as an individual..."
Walking back towards the bag, Alice begins to throw quick consecutive right roundhouse kicks at it then switches to left ones, trying to maintain the steady rhythm she usually keeps.
"What's it going to be Trenton? At Meltdown you will make your mark... You will show everyone how you fight when all eyes are on you... How will you make it? Will you make it by earning the respect of your peers and the fans, showing them just how capable you are.. Or will you tarnish your legacy with deception and desperation? It's your call Trenton... Stand tall and try to overcome the odds, or fight dirty and win at any cost... I want you to bring your all, just know that whatever tricks you and Steph may have, I can and will overcome them..."
Lowering her leg, Alice plants it firmly down on the floor before stepping forwards, rotating counter clockwise and letting her fist fly, rocking the bag with a spinning backfist.
"You may be bigger than me, stronger than me, you may have an ally with you too... But I am "The Woman" right now... I am the standard you have to hit... Do you think you can do it? Either approach could work, just know that I only have one - right through you... Your hot streak like all things must end... If it does, at least let it die with dignity and honor."
