[Bohannon walks into the locker-room. He goes over to his locker and finds a badly bent steel chair leaning against it. There’s a note on it. Bohannon picks up the note and reads it…and laughs.]
Bohannon: “Nice to see Alice White still has her sense of humor.”
Bohannon takes his shirt off, revealing tape around his ribs. Clearly the steel chair is not Bohannon’s only reminder of Luke Savage’s chair attack at Revenge. Bohannon puts on his workout shirt, because bruised ribs or not, Bohannon has to get ready for his upcoming match. Business as usual.
Bohannon: “Rocky, it’s interesting that you and I meet again under these conditions. Do you remember when we first met? I had been riding high, winning and defending the Horizon title for most of 2015. I ended the year gaining my first Legacy title shot. I’m sure you’d quickly point out, I didn’t win it. I didn’t win my second shot, either. Then I spent the next 6 months getting my ass kicked by you, Hanson, and pretty much everyone else I stepped in the ring with. It wasn’t pretty.”
[Bohannon sits down and starts to untie his boots.]
Bohannon: “I didn’t quit. I kept working, kept fighting. It took awhile to get healthy again, but now that I’m 100% physically, I’m working my way back. I had to start at the bottom, and to be honest, that’s where I deserved to be. I beat the monster Crimson North. I beat Luke Savage. Now I once again come to a crossroads.”
[Bohannon replaces the boots with a pair of running shoes.]
Bohannon: “You too, are at a crossroads. You know I didn’t respect you when you first came to this company. You had everything handed to you, and you took it for granted. You had title shots, but you couldn’t get the job done. I’ll be honest with you…I was glad. I didn’t want to see someone who hadn’t paid their dues here win the Legacy title.”
[Bohannon reaches into his bag and pulls out a bottle of water.]
Bohannon: “After those defeats, we were on similar career paths for awhile. You seemed to be lost…wandering in the wilderness. One day, it seemed to click. It was like you were tired of waiting for something to be handed to you and you went out there hell bent to take what you deserved. From that point, you went on one hell of a run.”
[Bohannon takes a packet of Gatorade and pours it into the water.]
Bohannon: “Yet, at Revenge, you came up short. I must admit, I watched that match with fascination. Given my history with all three of you, I couldn’t take my eyes off the monitor. I would have bet anything that Jason Price would not walk out of there the Champion, but he did. “
[Bohannon shakes up the bottle until it’s mixed. He sits back and looks at the camera.]
Bohannon: “So here we are, both chasing Jason Price. I think I’m in a better position than you are. I feel that I’m a long way off from a Legacy title shot. So my focus is simple. Just win baby. One match at a time. Rocky, get focused on our match at Meltdown. I know you’re still thinking about what could have been. I’ve been there. Come Wednesday night, what could have been for either of us means nothing. I’m coming to beat you, whatever it takes.”
[Bohannon grabs his towel and gets up to go work out. He stops, though, and turns back to the camera.]
Bohannon: “Reaper, I don’t mean to ignore you. You are clearly a good wrestler, but I don’t like you. Your whole act annoys me. I hope you come ready for a fight. Leave your goons in the back. If you’re thinking that Rocky and I are going to work together, gang up on you, rest assured. He and I have a history of really not liking each other. Ask anyone. It should be a hell of a fight. I’m see ya’ll real soon.”
[With that, Bohannon heads for the door, off to prepare for that fight.]
