The fans were warmed up with a dark match featuring Bruce Clayton taking on the newcomer Mason James. The match began with Clayton using his in-ring experience to stifle the attacks of his much bigger opponent and control the momentum of the match. However, Mason would eventually find his footing and use his power advantage to rally back and end the match with his brutal finisher, the Mason Massacre. Solid debut from Mason James. NAW Presents...
WEDNESDAY NIGHT MELTDOWNLive from the Denver Coliseum - Denver, CO
"Fever Run" by The Wolf plays through on the PA system and Wednesday Night Meltdown kicks off with pyros blasting from each side of the entrance ramp. The camera pans around the arena and shows fans on their feet cheering and holding up various NAW themed signs. The camera then cuts to Malcolm Gould and Jim Torres at ringside. Malcolm Gould: Hello everybody and welcome to Denver Colorado, the first stop on NAW’s Invasion tour! Jim Torres: These people here at the Denver Coliseum are all on their feet and ready to see some live NAW action! Malcolm Gould: Well they’re certainly in for a treat tonight, as we have a triple threat NAW Tag Team Championship main event and also our first wave of the Femme Fatal Mystery Challenge. Jim Torres: Yeah who knows what type of challenge these ladies in the first wave will have to go through to crown the first contender? It could be anything! Malcolm Gould: Yeah a lot of questions involved in that one. Now let’s get to ringside where Rebecca Martin is standing by to get things start…wait a moment…I’m getting word that there’s been a disturbance backstage and our camera team is on site to investigate. Let’s go to backstage.

The scene on the Coliseum big screen cuts to the backstage area where several NAW security members are seen surrounding NAW wrestler Luke Savage. Two other security members are seen sitting on the floor dazed and being helped back up, apparently after crossing paths with Savage. The head security officer appears to be trying to reason with Savage.
Guard: Come on Luke, it doesn’t have to be like this. Mr. Hayes just wants to talk before you check in to your locker room. We can’t let you through.
Luke: I have a match tonight and I aim to wrestle in it, one way or another. Now you can move your asses out of the way, or you can try to stop me again and join your friends on the floor over there. Personally I’d rather you take option B, it sounds like a lot more fun to me…but I’ll let you decide.
The security guard lifts the receiver to his radio up to his mouth.
Guard: Sir I don’t think he’s going to comply. Should we use force?
Luke smiles and cracks his knuckles. Just then, a voice is heard coming from behind the ruckus.
Voice: That won’t be necessary.
The group of security staff splits in half and into the scene walks Edric Hayes. He has a smug looking expression on his face as he walks up and pats his head of security on the back.
Edric: I’ll take it from here.
The guard looks at Edric and then back at Luke, an unsure expression still on his face.
Guard: Are you sure boss?
Edric: I’ve got it, thank you.
The guard glares at Luke for another couple of seconds, then looks at his team and they walk off as Edric walks up and offers Luke a handshake.
Edric: I don’t think we’ve been properly introduced, my name’s…
Luke cuts him off.
Luke: I know who the hell you are. Elroy or Eric or whatever your name is. Just another new owner. So what? I seen em’ come and go here all the time. What makes you any different from them?
Edric: I paid cash?
Luke nods his head and rubs his chin in thought.
Luke: Yeah, I guess that’s a good one.
Luke accepts Edric’s handshske.
Edric: Look, all I wanted to talk with you about is to make sure you’re ok now. No more unnecessary chair shots or any other weapon attacks. It’s bad for business.
Luke looks back at Edric with a confused expression.
Luke: Bad for business? Are we talking about the same business here?
Edric: If you want to hit somebody with a chair, let me know and I’ll book you in a hardcore match. But other than that, nobody uses a chair or any other type of weapon on another NAW superstar at any time unless it’s in a sanctioned match. Failure to abide by that regulation will be met with…consequences.
Luke: Consequences? Like what?
Edric pats Luke on the shoulder:
Edric: Come on Luke, you don’t have to concern yourself with that because you’re going to follow the rules right? You’re the “Flying Texan” what do you need a steel chair for?
Luke hesitates but eventually nods his head.
Luke: Whatever, I’ll do my best. That’s all I can promise. Just keep Bohannon away from me. Barry Lincoln too. That guy’s a weasel.
Edric: Done.
Luke: Good, now can you please get the hell out of my way so I can get ready for my match?
Edric: By all means, good luck.
Edric steps aside and Luke walks off towards his locker room. Edric watches on, an untrusting look in his eyes as the feed ends. The view then switches back to ringside, where Rebecca Martin is standing by ready to start the first match.

Tag Team Match Mid-South Syndicate vs The Jeckels
Torres: Consequences for using a weapon outside of a sanctioned match? I guess this new co-owner is trying to crack down on rule breakers. Gould: Well by the looks of that security team he hired, I’m not too sure I’d test him if I were one of these NAW superstars. Rebecca: Ladies and gentlemen, this next contest is scheduled for one fall and will be a tag team match. Introducing first, from Transylvania… The stage is covered in smoke, Peep Show By Droch Fhoula plays in the arena. Rebecca: At a combined weight of 499 pounds…The Jeckels!! Helena Jeckel emerges from the smoke, she singles and her brothers Jack and Jake emerge from the smoke. They walk to the ring, Helena walks the ring apron then hangs upside on the ropes, then enters the ring, Jake slides under the ropes and sits in the corner. Jack leans through the ropes and places his hands on his brother’s shoulders, Helena sits on the top rope posing as they await their opponents. The music stops playing and "Kick It in the Sticks" by Brantley Gilbert begins to play. Rebecca: And introducing their opponents, coming to the ring with a combined weight of 473 pounds…Bohannon & Tim Stone…The Mid-South Syndicate!! Tim Stone walks out of the entrance tunnel wearing a full length jacket that is color coordinated with his wrestling gear and carrying a guitar in his hand. Bohannon walks out next to him and the duo make their way towards the ring. They climb inside and pose on the apron as the fans give them a mixed reaction. Torres: Well here we go, some tag team action to get things started tonight. Gould: Yeah and we haven’t seen either of these tag teams inside the ring together in quite a while so this should be interesting. Time Stone and Jake Jeckel start things out in the ring. Jake comes right at Stone with a punch but Stone blocks it and sends Jake reeling backward with a stiff uppercut. Stone dives forward and takes Jake down with a closeline. Stone lifts to his feet and flips him into the center of the ring with a belly to belly suplex. Stone tags in Bohannon who takes over with some stomps to Jake’s back. He locks Jake into a reverse chin lock but Jack comes running and kicks Bohannon on the back to break the hold up. Stone runs in and closelines Jack and then stomps him as he rolls out of the ring. The referee yells at Tim Stone to get back to his corner and Bohannon keeps the pressure on with a Jake with a t-bone suplex. Bohannon keeps Jake’s leg hooked and attempts the cover. One . . . Two . . Kick out! Torres: What the heck was Bohannon thinking? He’s not going to score a pinfall over one of the Jeckels this early. Gould: Well maybe he thought he’d catch him sleeping. Bohannon lifts Jake to his feet and slams him to the mat with another suplex then he tags in Tim Stone again. Stone lifts Jake to his feet but Jake reaches up and tags Stone with a stiff jab to the face. Stone is dazed and Jake capitalizes by bouncing off of the ropes and taking him down with a diving shoulder block. Torres: Nice shoulder block by Jake Jeckel! Jake slowly crawls over and tags in Jack. Jack lifts Tim Stone to his feet and leads him over to his corner, then backs away and distracts the referee as Jake uses the rope in their corner to choke Stone behind their back. Torres: The classic distract and choke play! Gould: Hey ref, turn around and look behind you! The ref eventually stops arguing with Jack and turns around but Jake releases the hold just as he does and Stone falls to the mat holding his throat. Jack lifts him back up to his feet and drops him across his knee with a backbreaker. He then makes the cover. One . . . Two . . Bohannon makes the save! Gould: Save by Bohannon, just in time! Bohannon then gets taken down by Jake and Jack continues to work on Stone with stomps. Stone makes it to his feet though and finally starts to fight back with punches but Jack stops his rally with a knee to the midsection. Jack lifts Stone back up and positions him for a gutbuster but before he can land the move Bohannon comes running in to make the save. Again Jake comes running at Bohannon to take him out but this time Bohannon tackles him and gets on top of him, peppering him with rights and lefts. Gould: Bohannon taking it to Jake! The ref finally restores order and gets Bohannon back to his corner and Stone starts to crawl towards him to make the tag. Stone reaches out but just as he is about to tag in Bohannon, Jake Jeckel who has just been tagged in, comes running up and stomps Stone in the back to send him to the mat face first. Gould: Oh my, Time Stone was so close to tagging in Bohannon but it was Jack Jeckel who made it back to his corner first! Jake lifts Stone to his feet and slams him to the center of the ring with a pumphandle slam. He starts to lift Time Stone back to his feet but Stone suddenly reaches up and rolls Jake up into a cradle pin. Gould: Cradle pin by Tim Stone! The ref makes the count. One . . . Two . . Kick out! Torres: Almost a three! Gould: Yeah a nice move by Tim Stone but he comes up short. Jake is surprised by the pin attempt and he again starts to shower Stone with stomps in anger. He lifts Stone to his feet and lifts him up for a suplex but Stone uses his foot to hook Jake’s leg block it. Stone then lifts Jake up and suplexes him instead. Both men are down and the fans are going crazy. Gould: Tim Stone has to try make it to his corner now to tag in Bohannon! Stone slowly inches his way towards the corner but again he’s too slow as it’s Jake who gets to his corner first and tags in Jack. Jack grabs Stone by the leg and begins to drag him back towards the center of the ring but suddenly Stone kicks Jack in the face and sends him reeling backwards. Jack shakes his head to clear the cobwebs and comes charging back at Stone but it’s too late as Stone dives towards his corner and tags in Bohannon. The fans in the arena ignite as Bohannon jumps in the ring and goes crazy on Jack Jeckel with rights and lefts, working him back towards the ropes. Gould: Tim Stone finally made it to his corner! Torres: Yeah and now Bohannon is going to town! Bohannon ends his flurry with a huge roundhouse punch to send Jack over the top rope and out of the ring. Jake comes running in and swings at Bohannon, but Bohannon ducks it and catches him from behind with a backdrop. Jake rolls out of the ring and falls to the floor and Bohannon celebrates his handiwork. But as soon as he turns back around to see where Jack is he finds out, as Jack is back in the ring and waiting for him with a dropkick. Bohannon stumbles backwards against the ropes and on the rebound Jack scoops him up and plants him hard on the mat with a spinebuster. Jack tags in Jake, who has recovered, and Jake climbs into the ring and lifts Bohannon to his feet. Jake tosses Bohannon into the corner and then comes storming in with a shoulder charge. Bohannon slips out of the way at the last moment though and Jake crashes into the turnbuckle. Jake staggers out towards the center of the ring and Bohannon grabs him and drops him with the White Russian Legsweep. Bohannon drops down and covers Jake. One . . . Two . . . Three! Gould: Bohannon and Tim Stone win it! Rebecca: Ladies and gentlemen…here are your winners…The Mid-South Syndicate!! Both Tim Stone and Bohannon celebrate their victory and make their exit leaving the Jeckels glaring at them from inside the ring, a look of rage in their eyes.

Jim Torres: That was a good tag match but right now Barry Lincoln is standing by with a new comer to NAW.
Scene cuts to the back where Barry Lincoln is standing with Sutton, Lilly Mae and Nanook.
Barry Lincoln: Thanks Jim and joining me at this time is Sutton, his girlfriend Lilly Mae and his manager Nanook. Sutton is a short couple of weeks you have started to make waves here in the NAW….
Nanook holds his hand up cutting Barry off.
Nanook: Barry. Please. My client has been making waves for the last couple of years. It isn’t a huge surprise to anyone who knows Sutton that he has easily dispatched the stiffs the NAW has placed in front of him so far and tonight, a mere seconds from now. Sutton….he is going to take Luke Savage and tame him. Like a little puppy that you have to beat with a rolled up newspaper, Sutton is going to housebreak and make Luke Savage obey him and Sutton will make Luke roll over and play dead just like everyone else the NAW has placed before this man. And do you know why that is Barry?
Barry Lincoln: No…
Nanook: “It’s because there isn’t a single person on this roster who can stop...Sutton.”
Nanook and Lilly walk away and Sutton takes a step towards Barry. Sutton looks Barry in the eye and places his hand over Barry’s and raises the mic up some.
Sutton: “Dat der ring out der is…..mine!”
Sutton shoves Barry’s hand out the way and walks off.
Barry Lincoln: “Sutton takes on Luke Savage and that match is up next!”

Luke grabs Sutton’s leg and then delivers a series of elbow drops then slaps on a leg lock, Luke wrenches on the leg, the referee asks Sutton if he wishes to submit, Sutton yells a very loud no, Luke continues to wrench the leg, Sutton manages to get to the ropes, forcing the break. Luke clubs Sutton across the back and chokes him in the ropes, the referee calls for the break, Luke breaks at four. Gould: This is a back and forth match so far, with neither man able to completely dominate. Torres: Luke has the edge in experience, but Sutton has proved why he’s an up and comer in NAW Luke continues to maintain control of the match, by delivering a knee drop to the back of Sutton, Luke picked Sutton and attempted to whip him off the rope, Sutton reverses sending Luke into the ropes, Sutton attempts to throw a punch, Luke however ducked and used his momentum to try and deliver a clothesline Sutton ducked and caught Luke with a vicious lariat of his own, Sutton picks Luke up and delivers a Russian Leg sweep, as Luke is rising, Sutton charges and connects with a knee lift, Sutton waits on Luke. The view cuts to the GM office where we see NAW Co-owner Edric Hayes sitting behind his desk. He has his cellphone pressed to his ear and he’s in the middle of a conversation.
Edric: I agree, that win was big. Yes, he’s definitely off to a good start. What’s that? A spot on the Holiday Fear card? Of course I have a spot ready. In fact, I’ve already had my eyes on your client for a couple of weeks now and I think I have the perfect match for him. Tonight was all the confirmation I needed. Which match? Well how does the NAW Horizon Championship match sound? Yeah, well he’s earned it. Thank you too…Mr. Nanook is it? Oh, just Nanook? Ok then. Well you have yourself a wonderful night and you tell Sutton I said good job tonight and to rest up. He’s about to get a shot at the NAW Horizon Championship at Holiday Fear. Alright, you too. Bye.
Edric hangs up his cellphone and places it inside his front suit pocket. He then appears to look past the camera and he smiles.
Edric: I’m sorry, that was some important business I had to attend to. Now what did you say your name was again miss?
The view pans out and sitting on the other side of Edric’s desk is an attractive blonde women holding a small stack of papers.
Woman: My name’s CJ Spencer…I’m the new reporter you requested from the Virtual Fight Network. I believe we spoke through emails and texts a few times already? These here are the credentials you asked for when I texted you last.
The woman hands Edric her credentials and he takes them reluctantly.
Edric: Ah yes, CJ Spencer the reporter from Northwestern University. Worked for VFN for three years. So CJ, that stands for?
CJ Spencer: Crissy Jade, but my friends all just call me CJ.
Edric: Alright CJ, well it’s a pleasure to meet you in the flesh. Your resume looks great, but I have to warn you though, interviewing some of these wrestlers before a match can be a little...difficult sometimes.
CJ smiles as a look of confidence washes across her face, an indication that she’s not intimidated.
CJ Spencer: Oh I’m sure I’ll be fine Mr. Hayes. I’ve interviewed football players, hockey players, boxers, MMA fighters, and many other types of athletes. I’m sure I can find a way to get along with professional wrestlers too.
Edric nods his head.
Edric: Fair enough. Welcome to the NAW journalism team.
Edric extends his hand and the two shake hands as the scene ends.

"Basic Thuganomics" by John Cena & Trademarc plays through the PA system.
Rebecca: Ladies and gentleman, the following contest is scheduled for on fall. Introducing first from Hickory NC…weighing in at 252 pounds…Johnathan Blade!!
John Blade walks out onto the stage and bounces around a little before posing for the fans. He then walks to the ring and climbs in, again posing and showing his love for his fans. His music then comes to a stop and “March or Die” by Motorhead begins to play.
Rebecca: And introducing his opponent from Ejmiatsin, Armenia….weighing 264 pounds….The Armenian Beast!!
The Armenian Beast comes walking out from the back and takes off running towards the ring in a mad dash, plowing right over one of the camera men who wasn’t fast enough to dive out of the way. Upon arriving at ringside Beast attempts to dive into the ring through the bottom two ropes, but instead gets his leg tangled on his way through and it ends up a rolling ring entrance. John Blade stands on the outside of the ring and waits for The Armenian Beast get to his feet and finish his entrance, not quite sure yet what to make of his opponent.
Gould: The Armenian Beast is a puzzle that not many in the NAW have been able to figure out yet.
Torres: Yeah and John Blade doesn’t look like he’s too sure yet either.
Gould: Well Blade is as tough as anybody in the NAW so if anybody is going to give the Beast a good fight before his big title match at Holiday Fear, it’s going to be John Blade.
The music stops playing and the bell rings to signal the start of the match. John Blade climbs back into the ring and squares off with The Armenian Beast. Blade makes the first move and lunges in to grab Beast. Beast steps to the side and knees Blade in the midsection, then flings Blade to the mat with a bodyslam with ease. Blade scrambles back to his feet and comes after Beast again but Beast takes him down with a hip toss. Blade gets back to his feet once more but Beast stays on him and sends him back down to the mat again with a closeline. Beast pulls Blade to his feet and slams him hard on the canvas with a backdrop. Beast with the pin attempt.
1 . . . 2 . Kick out!
Torres: Beast trying for the pin, but John Blade says no way.
Beast pulls Blade back to his feet again but out of nowhere Blade fires back with a huge uppercut to stun Beast and send him reeling backward. Blade then runs at Beast and levels him with a diving closeline. Blade take a couple of seconds to recover and then he grabs Beast as he’s getting to his feet and slams him backwards to the mat with a backdrop. Blade stays on Beast with another side suplex and then Irish whips him to the rope and catches him with a Samoan drop on the return. Blade with the cover.
1 . . . 2 . . Kick Out!
Gould: Only a two count but what an impressive display of moves by Johnathan Blade!
Torres: Yeah look at Beast holding his back in pain.
Blade pulls Beast back to his feet and walks him over to the corner. He pushes Beast into the corner and then clobbers him with a few forearm shots to the head. Beast is dazed and Blade then takes a few steps back and lunges in to crush Beast with a big boot to the face and send him to the mat. Blade stalks Beast as he crawls to the ropes and uses them to pull himself back up. Blade waits for Beast to turn around and then he runs up to grab Beast in a headlock and tries for a DDT, but Beast uses his strength advantage to block the move and instead, he lifts John Blade up and slams him to the mat with a sidewalk slam, falling to the mat himself from the momentum. Beast slowly crawls over and attempts the cover
1 . . . 2 . . Kick Out!
Gould: What a huge counter by The Armenian Beast!
Torres: Yeah it’s hard to keep that guy down, he’s as tough as nails!
Beast gets back up catches his breath and waits for John Blade as he’s also slowly getting to his feet. Beast grabs him and starts to lifts him up for a slam of some sort but Blade slips out his grasp and flips over to land on his feet behind him. Beast spins around to face Blade but Blade is already in motion and he drops Beast with a big boot to the face. Blade with the cover.
1 . . . 2 . . Kick Out!
Gould: Blade almost able to end this match but only gets a two count!
Torres: Yeah unfortunately for John Blade, The Armenian Beast’s massive beard absorbed most of the impact of that big boot.
Blade now takes a few seconds to catch his breath and then he gets back to his feet. Blade starts to lock Beast into a boston crab but Beast thrashes his legs around and manages to shove Blade off of him and send him staggering backward a couple of steps and into the ropes.
Gould: Beast escapes the hold before it even began!
Torres: Yeah I don’t know what John Blade was thinking there.
Beast rolls back to his hands and knees and John Blade comes charging at him., but at the last moment Beast gets one foot underneath himself and lunges forward to level John Blade with a spear. Both men are down and the referee is checking one them.
Torres: Beast hit John Blade with that spear, but he didn’t get both legs into it for the full effect.
Gould: Well the spear did its job anyhow, as now it’s The Armenian Beast who is beginning to show signs of movement first.
Beast crawls over to John Blade and makes the cover.
1 . . . 2 . . Kick Out!
Torres: Close call, but John Blade still has life left in him.
Gould: Yeah but how much life? He barely escaped that three count.
Both men get back to their feet and square off in the middle of the ring again. Blade takes a swing at Beast but Beast gets his arm up to block it then cracks Blade with a headbutt to send him reeling backward. Blade shakes out the cobwebs and again comes charging at Beat, but this time beat scoops him up and plants him hard on the mat with a chokeslam. Beast makes the cover.
1 . . . 2 . . No! Kick out by Johnathan Blade!
Torres: Just a two!
Gould: Wow, Johnathan Blade able to kick out before the three count after getting hit with that chokeslam!
Beast looks at the referee but the referee shakes his head and holds up two fingers. Beast lifts Blade to his feet and begins to set him up for the Beard in the face but Blade breaks free of the hold and pushes Beast away from him and into the ropes. Beast staggers towards the center of the ring and Blade runs to the opposite ropes and comes charging back at Beast with a closeline, but Beast lunges out with both arms raised above his head and comes crashing down on John Blade with the Downtrodder, Beast’s variation of the running double axe handle. Beast drops down and hooks Blade’s leg and the ref makes his count.
1 . . . 2 . . . 3!
Torres: The Beast wins!
Rebecca: Ladies and gentlemen…here is your winner…The Armenian Beast!!
The Armenian Beast’s music plays and he raises his arm up in victory.
Gould: Wow what a match!
Torres: Yeah and what a finish by The Armenian Beast! He definitely showed here tonight that he’s ready to challenge Jason Price for that Legacy Championship.
The Armenian Beast exits the ring and starts to head for the back, but suddenly the big screen inside the Coliseum lights up and Jason Price is seen standing backstage with the NAW Legacy Championship draped over his shoulder. Price is slowly clapping his hands with a cocky looking smile on his face. Beast’s music then stops playing and Price begins to speak.
Jason Price: Congratulations Beast. You managed to beat somebody who isn’t even close to my level…very well done. That may prove something to these morons in the audience here in Denver, but all it proves to me is that you’re just a second rate wrestler who can only hang with other second rate wrestlers. At Holiday Fear it’s going to be time to step up your game and face some real competition. You gonna be ready for that Beast? I know I am. In fact, after you head backstage tonight don’t go too far. Keep your eyes on that ring area because a little later on tonight I’ll show you and the rest of these idiots in Denver how a real champion takes care of business when me and sexiness defend our tag team straps. Be sure to take plenty of notes.
Jason Price laughs as the scene comes to an end and the big screen goes black. The Armenian Beast doesn’t appear too distressed by the video feed however, as he just resumes his walk to the backstage celebrating his victory. Meltdown then cuts to a promo for Holiday Fear.

Meltdown comes back from commercial and Rebecca Martin is seen standing inside the ring.
Rebecca: Ladies and gentleman, it is now time for the Femme Fatal Mystery Challenge. Introducing the first participant…
“Peep Show” by Droch Fhoula plays in the arena and the stage become covered in smoke.
Rebecca: From Transylvania, weighing 115 pounds...Helena Jeckel!!”
Helena emerges from the smoke and poses at the top of the ramp as she glares at the booing crowd. She then walks to the ring and walks up the ring steps, hangs upside down on the ropes, then she enters the ring and awaits what’s to come.
Torres: Well Helena doesn’t seem too concerned about walking into an unknown challenge here tonight.
Gould: Well just as her brothers have done, Helena has proven time and time again that she backs away from no challenges in the NAW. To become the next Femme Fatal Champion would certainly be a milestone for her wrestling resume.
Helena’s music comes to a stop and “Lapdance” by N.E.R.D. hits over the PA system.
Rebecca: And introducing her opponent, from Atlanta, Georgia….”The First Lady of Wrestling” Kandi Washington!!
The fans boo when Kandi’s sultry video starts to play over the titantron with some whistles from the older men in attendance. Kandi struts out from the back and she pauses at the top of the ramp with her hands perched on her hips as Drake Knight pauses to her immediate left. He folds his arms and stares across the arena. Kandi licks her lips as she stares over at Drake and motions with her head to start down the ramp. He unfolds his arms and walks down with Kandi Washington following his lead. As fans attempt to reach over the barricade to high-five her, she ignores them and side steps, and the duo continue down the ramp. They make their way down to the bottom of the ramp, Drake steps upon the apron, and Kandi makes her way up the steel stairs. She grabs the ring post as she steps onto the apron. She walks over to Drake and flips her hair while Drake is holding the ropes open. She steps over the bottom rope and under the second as she props up in the ring. Drake steps over the top rope and walks over to the middle of the ring, folding his arms. Kandi Washington walks to the ropes and grabs them as she flips her head forward as her hair flows from the front to the back. She winks at the booing fans and licks her lips as she starts to strut around the ring, looking around the arena. She spots Helena and the two begin to trade words back and forth but the referee keeps them in their respective corners. The referee then begins to talk with Drake Knight and he points to the backstage area.
Torres: What’s the referee doing? Is he making Drake Knight leave ringside?
Gould: It sure looks that way.
Drake doesn’t look like he wants to budge but the referee is adamant about him leaving. Kandi is protesting but then suddenly “Money Talks’ by ACDC begins to play and out walks Edric Hayes. He waves to the fans as he makes his way to the ring and climbs in. He walks up to Rebecca and she hands him her microphone, then once the music stops and the fans quiet down he walks to the center of the ring and raises the mic to his mouth.
Edric: Hello Denver!
The arena echoes with cheers. After a few moments Edric is able to resume. He then turns to the two ladies standing inside the ring.
Edric: Welcome to wave one of the Femme Fatal Mystery Challenge. One of you two ladies will leave here tonight and will be going to Holiday Fear for a chance to become the next NAW Femme Fatal Champion. Now to keep things as clean as possible, I’ve barred everybody from being at ringside for this match as well as our main event tonight. So Drake, sorry buddy but you’re going to have to return to the backstage area. You have a big match coming up next to prepare for anyway.
After a little chat with one another, Kandi and Drake agree to comply and Drake exits the ring and walks to the backstage area. Edric then looks at the two women and smiles at them.
Edric: You ladies ready?
Both women nod in eager anticipation and Edric motions towards the back.
Edric: Ok then, let’s get started. Bring em’ out fellas.
After a couple of seconds, four NAW workers come walking out from the back; each pair of workers carrying a blue, grey, and white NAW themed ladder in their hands.
Torres: Ladders! Wave 1 of the Femme Fatal Mystery Challenge is a ladder match?!
Gould: It’s certainly looking that way.
The workers arrive at ringside and set each ladder up outside the ring on opposite sides. They then exit to the backstage and Edric again addresses the ladies.
Edric: So I’m sure you know how this works ladies; similar to our briefcase of choice match. You take one of those ladders and set it up inside the ring, then you climb to the top and grab that case from up there above the ring. Inside is a match contract, and the women who retrieves it will be first wrestler to enter the Femme Fatal match at Holiday Fear.
The camera briefly pans to the area above the ring where a small leather briefcase is now seen hanging from the rafters on a steel cable.
Edric: Good luck ladies.
Edric hands the mic back to Rebecca and the referee signals for the bell to begin the match. Edric walks up and takes a seat at the announce booth next to Malcolm Gould and Jim Torres.
Edric: Hey fellas, mind if I join you?
Torres: Not at all, make yourself at home boss.
Gould: Welcome.
Torres: So a ladder match for the Femme Fatal Challenge huh? Smart move, I like it.
Edric: Well thank you sir, but it’s only the first wave. Trust me, things in this challenge will get progressively more interesting as we move forward towards the finals at Holiday Fear. This ladder match is a mere warmup for that. Trust me.
Gould: Is that so? Well I look forward to seeing what comes next.
The two women lock up in the ring and Helena brings a knee up to gain the early advantage. Helena pushes Kandi back into the corner and delivers a few stiff knees to Kandi’s midsection, then she tosses Kandi into the center of the ring with an armdrag. Kandi scrambles to her feet but Helena meets her with a closeline. Helena lifts Kandi to her feet and tosses her to the ropes and then catches her and plants her with an inverted atomic drop. Kandi goes down again and Helena begins to stomp Kandi’s leg.
Torres: Smart move, damage Kandi’s leg and she can’t climb that ladder.
Gould: Yeah, I have to agree with you.
Helena lets Kandi begin to get back up and sneaks around behind her to position her for a Russian legsweep, but Kandi manages to block the move and instead grabs Helena by the hair and pulls her backwards onto her knee for a backbreaker.
Torres: Oh, what a counter by Kandi Washington!
Gould: Yeah she planted Helena’s back pretty hard across her knee with that one.
Helena is lying on the mat holding her back and Kandi rolls to the outside, going right after one of the ladders. She folds it up and slides it inside the ring underneath the bottom rope and climbs in after it. Helen is back up however and she delivers a stomp to Kandi’s head as she’s getting up to stun her, Helena then lifts Kandi up and bodyslams her right on top of the ladder. The sound echoes through the arena.
Torres: Wow, did you hear that Gould? It sounded like a gunshot going off!
Gould: Yeah both of these ladies might need to see a chiropractor after this match.
Edric: Well fortunately for them, the new medical coverage I’m about to introduce does offer free chiropractor visits.
Kandi rolls off of the ladder and holds her back in pain. Helena catches her breath and then sets the ladder up in the center of the ring. Helena begins to climb towards the top, but only makes it a few steps before Kandi makes it back to her feet and rips her back down. Kandi then grabs Helena by the head and takes off running to land a running bulldog and plant Helena face first on the mat. Now it’s Kandi who is making her way up the ladder.
Gould: Helena Jeckel is down and Kandi Washington is heading up that ladder!
Torres: We might already have our first Femme Fatal Contender right here!
Helena gets to her feet shortly after and spots Kandi climbing the ladder. She runs up and tips the ladder over before Kandi can reach the top and Kandi tumbles down to the mat. Helena stomps Kandi a few times while she’s down and then allows her to get up and she lifts her up for a back suplex. However, Kandi slips out of Helena’s grasp and flips over backward to land on her feet behind Helena. Helena spins around and Kandi cracks her square in the face with a side kick. Helena stumbles backward a few steps and Kandi runs up and grabs Helena by the head and swings her legs around for momentum to drive Helena headfirst into the mat with a tornado DDT.
Edric: Nice move.
Gould: Yeah Kandi is pulling out all the stops here tonight.
Torres: And now she’s going for the ladder.
Kandi walks over and picks up the ladder and then leans it into the corner. She yells that she is done playing around and she lifts Helena back up to her feet and positions her up against the ladder. Helena begins to fire back with punches though and after a couple of successful ones she grabs Kandi by the head and rams her face first into the ladder. Now it’s Helena who pushes Kandi up against the ladder. Helena then takes a few big steps back and comes running back at Kandi with a forearm smash but at the last moment Kandi dives away and Helena smashes into the ladder. Helena comes staggering away from the ladder and Kandi runs up and grabs her hair to slam her backwards, spiking her head right off of the mat. Helena looks to be out cold and Kandi instantly turns and looks at the ladder again. Kandi picks the ladder up out of the corner and sets it up in the center of the ring. Helena makes it up to her feet and Kandi goes to work on her again with punches. She works Helena back to the ropes and then tries to end her combo with an uppercut, but Helena ducks under it and grabs Kandi’s legs to flip her over the top rope. Kandi lands hard on the floor outside and Helena gets a chance to catch her breath a bit.
Gould: Helena sends Kandi flying out of the ring!
Torres: Lucky for Kandi though, she was able to land on her feet.
Edric: An impressive recovery by Kandi.
Kandi comes charging back inside the ring but Helena is ready for her and unloads with punches and kicks. Kandi tries to rally back but Helena is having none of it and she levels Kandi with a spin kick. Helena lifts Kandi up and tosses her to the ropes and then ducks down for a back body drop as Kandi comes running back but Kandi telegraphs the move and stops right in front of Helena to kick her square in the head with another side kick. Helena crumbles to the mat and Kandi lifts her right back up and lands a snap suplex. Kandi then runs to the ropes as Helena is getting up again and comes running back to nail her with a dropkick to the head. Kandi keeps the pressure on with stomps and forearm shots as Helena continuously tries to get up, then Kandi finally lifts Helena up and lands a gut buster.
Gould: Wow, Kandi is really showing how bad she wants that Femme Fatal Championship.
Torres: Yeah and now she’s going for that ladder once again.
Edric: She sure is relentless.
Kandi lifts up the ladder and positions it in the center of the ring again. She begins her climb and the fans begin to get louder and louder as she takes each step. Helena uses the ropes to pull herself back up and again spots Kandi climbing the ladder. This time she begins to climb the opposite side and she reaches through the inside of the ladder to grab Kandi by the hair and stop her ascent. Kandi screams in rage at Helena and tries to kick at her but Helena advances up the ladder and stands directly across from her, maintaining her handful of Kandi’s hair. Kandi then reaches out and rakes Helena’s eyes to get Helena to lose her grip on her hair, then she reaches around the side of the ladder and grabs Helena by the back of the head and leaps off the ladder for a facebuster. Kandi lands the move successfully, but she also takes a hard fall herself and both women are down for the count. The Denver fans cheer with delight however at what they just witnessed.
Torres: Wow, Kandi Washington just leaped from over ten feet in the air and spiked Helena Jeckel’s face right off of that mat! That couldn’t have felt good.
Gould: Well it looks like Kandi took some damage from that move too. It just goes to show you how far some of these men and women in this company are willing to go in order to wear NAW gold.
Edric: And that’s what we like to see in the NAW…wrestlers who are willing to put it all on the line.
Both women stay down for a few seconds but it’s Kandi who gets to her feet first. Kandi targets Helena’s back, jumping up and coming down hard with a double foot stomp. Kandi then picks Helena back up and tosses her into the corner then runs in for a springboard back elbow but at the last moment Helena ducks out of the way and Kandi crashes into the empty turnbuckle. Kandi comes staggering out of the corner and Helena scoops her up and lands a sitout facebuster, the momentum rolling Kandi under the bottom rope and right out of the ring to the outside floor.
Gould: Ouch, that might leave a mark.
Torres: What is it with these ladies trying to rearrange each other’s face in this match? They’re turning out to be more brutal than the men!
Edric: Well I guess they don’t call them Femme Fatal for nothing fellas.
Again both women are down, Helena on the canvas and Kandi on the outside of the ring. This time it’s Helena who gets up first though and she eyes the ladder set up in the center of the ring. She slowly begins to climb up the steps and again the fans get loud as she moves towards the case hanging above the ring.
Torres: She might do it Gould! We might have ourselves our first Femme Fatal Championship contender for Holiday Fear!
Gould: Kandi made it back to her feet though Jim, and now she’s going for that other ladder!
Kandi shakes out the cobwebs and grabs the other ladder set up on the outside of the ring. She slides it under the bottom rope and rolls in after it.
Gould: Helena is inches away from the case!
Torres: But here comes Kandi again!
Edric: And with the other ladder!
Kandi picks up the other ladder and drives it into Helena’s back, knocking her and the ladder she was on back down to the mat. Helena is on the mat face down holding her back in pain. Kandi then places her folded up ladder on top of Helena’s back and jumps up in the air to come down on top of the ladder with a double foot stomp. Helena again cringes in pain on the mat and Kandi sets up one of the ladders in the center of the ring again.
Gould: Oh my, Kandi just drove that ladder right into Helena’s back once more!
Torres: This has got to be it Gould, Helena has taken just too much damage.
Edric: You might be right.
Kandi begins her climb to the top once more and the fans get loud again. Kandi get towards the top of the ladder and suddenly Helena gets to her hands and knees and begins to use the ladder to pull herself up to her feet. She succeeds and she reaches up and grab Kandi by the leg to stop her upward movement. Kandi screams in anger as she stretches out her arm and tries to grab the case that is just inches away from her reach. Kandi lashes out trying to kick Helena off of her but Helena finally is able to pull Kandi down from the ladder and down to the canvas.
Edric: Well played, Helena showing true grit.
Gould: Yeah she just barely managed to stop Kandi from reaching that case.
Torres: And Kandi is furious!
Kandi pushes Helena away from her and takes a swing at her but Helena gets an arm up to block her punch and then locks Kandi in The Devils Whisper, her variation of the mandible claw.
Torres: Oh, The Devils Whisper!
Kandi flails around trying to escape and after a few seconds Helena realizes she cannot win by submission so she grabs Kandi by the throat with her other hand and fling her across the mat. Kandi goes rolling across the canvas and into the corner and Helena moves in. She grabs Kandi as she’s getting to her feet and walks her over to where the folded up ladder is lying on the mat.
Gould: Uh oh, what does she have planned here?
Edric: Whatever it is, it doesn’t look good for Kandi does it?
Torres: You’ve got that right.
Helena lifts Kandi up for what she intends to be a cradle DDT but Kandi breaks free mid-move and flips over to land on her hand and knees. Helena turns to grabs her but Kandi lashes out with a low blow.
Gould: Kandi with the low blow!
Torres: Ouch!
Edric: Yeah I don’t care who you are…that hurts.
Helena keels over and Kandi quickly scrambles to her feet and takes a step back. She then hops forward and cracks Helena square in the face with The Final Lick, her signature punt kick. The fans go nuts as Kandi then heads to the ladder and again begins to climb.
Torres: The Final Lick! What a shot!
Gould: And now Kandi Washington is on her way to the top of that ladder!
Kandi reaches the top of the ladder and removes the case from the cable. The bell sounds and Kandi sits atop the ladder holding the case above her head in victory as her music begins to play.
Rebecca: Ladies and gentleman…here is your winner….Kandi Washington!!
Gould: Wow, what a hard fought match.
Torres: Yeah Kandi Washington gets the case from atop the ladder and now she will move on to Holiday Fear to wrestle for the NAW Femme Fatal Championship.
Edric: Excellent showing. That’s my cue. Thanks for the seat guys, I’ll be seeing you.
Gould: Take care Edric.
Torres: Thanks for joining us.

Edric leaves the announce booth and enters the ring to congratulate Kandi as she climbs back down the ladder. Kandi hands Edric the case she just won and he opens it to remove the contract from inside. He holds up the contract then holds up Kandi’s arm in a victory pose. Rebecca then hands Edric the mic and walks to the center of the ring.
Edric: So it’s decided…Kandi Washington will be the first participant in the NAW Femme Fatal Championship match at Holiday Fear. I’d like to congratulate her and also Helena for putting on a very hard fought match.
The fans give a mixed reaction, some showing their hate for the two ladies and others showing their appreciation for their performance tonight.
Edric: Kandi, we’ll see you at Holiday Fear and Helena, you are free to take part in wave 2 of the challenge on the next edition of Meltdown. However I must warn you and the rest of the ladies who plan to participate…wave 2 will be a progression of wave 1 so if you think you’re going to be facing another regular ole’ ladder match…you are mistaken. For wave 1 I rewarded the ladies who stepped up right away with a bit a familiarity, but Wave 2 will really test who wants to be in this title match at Holiday Fear. So rest up ladies, because it all continues in two weeks.
Edric hands Rebecca back her mic and exits the ring, as does Kandi as she continues to celebrate her victory. Meltdown then cuts to a promo for Holiday Fear.

Meltdown returns from commercial and “Total Domination” by Donkey Rollers begins to play through the PA system.
Rebecca: Ladies and gentleman, this next contest is a triple threat tag team match and is for the NAW Tag Team Championships! On their way to the ring first, representing Power Trip and being accompanied to the ring by Crystal Taylor, they are the team of Mike Smith and Christian Taylor... BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!
Mike Smith walks out from the back with Crystal Taylor at his side. She turns toward him and starts clapping as he perches his hands on his waist, staring at the booing crowd. Christian Taylor jogs out from the back and he hops on Mike Smith's back with his legs fastening around his midsection. He raises his right fist to the ceiling and shouts, "we the bomb, bitches!" Remaining on Mike Smith's back, Mike showing his true strength as he continues to walk normally down the ramp with Crystal beside him. They pass the fans as Christian pretends to want to backhand the booing fans. Once they make it to the bottom of the ramp, Christian hops off Mike's back onto the apron and climbs up to the second rope, kneeling his knee on the top turnbuckle, looking through the audience. Mike pulls himself up on the apron and steps over the second rope. He walks to the middle of the ring as Crystal hustles up the steel stairs and dips down under the second rope as Christian backflips off the turnbuckle. He stands on the bottom rope and leans over the rope, blowing a kiss to the booing fans as Crystal smirks at her husband while standing beside Mike Smith in the middle of the ring.
Gould: That’s quite the entrance, wouldn’t you agree partner?
Torres: Yeah it sure is.
The music then stops playing and “Sweet Victory” by Van Halen hits the p.a. system.
Torres: And speaking of entrances…
Rebecca: And introducing next, being accompanied by Kandi Washington, the team of Drake Knight and Ice…SWEET ANNIHILATION!
The fans raise to their feet booing and chants of "whore" begin to fill the arena. When pink and purple lights start to flash through the crowd, the velvet entrance curtains wiggle open as smoke starts to blow out from the top of the ramp as Kandi Washington appears from behind the curtains. She struts up to the top as she stands just within the smoke as she places her hands on her hips. She stares to both sides of the crowd as the smoke dies down and she's joined by her entourage Drake Knight and Ice. Kandi is dressed in a pair of silver boy shorts, light blue backless halter top, and knee-high blocked heel boots. She has her hair pulled back in a tightly-pulled ponytail. She starts to strut down the ramp as she's smirking at the booing crowd while Drake Knight and Ice follows behind her. She makes her way to the bottom of the ramp way and turns to her left as she proceeds to the stairs. She struts up the three steel steps as she makes her way alongside the ring apron. She pauses in the middle on the outside apron, staring back at the fans as Drake Knight and Ice stand on both sides of the entrance ramp, at the bottom just gawking at the crowd. She turns back to the ropes and lowers herself under the second rope and steps over the first rope. She stands back up and struts to the middle of the ring, raising her arms above her head as she evilly smirks at the booing crowd as she walks across the ring to the corner. Drake Knight and Ice pull themselves on the apron as she goes over the second rope, and Drake goes over the top. They walk to the middle. She turns around in the corner and leans against the turnbuckle as she lifts her foot up on the bottom turnbuckle pad. Her theme starts to fade, the lights die down, and her video fades from the screen to blackness. All that can be heard now are the fans boos.
Gould: Well the team of Drake Knight and Ice being led to the ring by Kandi Washington, who just moments ago cemented herself in that Femme Fatal Championship match at Holiday Fear.
Torres: Yeah how good would that be for these guys to capture the NAW Tag Team Championships here tonight and then see Kandi go on to win the Femme Fatal Championship at Holiday Fear. Talk about a shift in power in the NAW.
As the Kandi and Sweet Annihilation stand in the middle of the ring trash talking back and forth with Beauty and the Beast and Crystal Taylor, the music again stops and “Man That You Fear” by Marilyn Mason begins to play.
Rebecca: And now introducing the champions, the team of Jason Price and Sexy Jason….The Jasons!!
The fans boo as Jason Price and Sexy Jason walk out from the back and make their way down the ramp towards the ring. The fans sitting at ringside have their arms outstretched but Sexy Jason is flexing and Jason Price ignores the outstretched hands on the way to the ring. They make it to the ring and both Jason's slides into the ring and taunt the other two tag teams, holding up their title belts and posing in front of them.
Gould: This is going to be a very tough match for The Jasons, I’m not sure if I’d be so confident.
Torres: Are you kidding me Gould? Jason Price is the NAW Legacy Champion and Sexy Jason a former NAW Hardcore Champion. If anybody is in for a tough fight, it’s Beauty and the Beast and Sweet Annihilation.
The Jasons hand off their title belts to the referee and everybody gets to their corner. As per NAW Owner Edric Hayes and his decision to ban everybody from ringside, Kandi Washington and Crystal Taylor are both are forced to return to the backstage area. The referee signals for the bell and the match gets underway. Drake Knight decides to begin things for his team and is ready to go as Ice gets in her corner. Jason Price elects to start out for his team but Mike Smith and Christian Taylor are still deciding who will start things off between them. Price doesn’t want to wait any longer and he runs up and starts to attack Mike Smith with forearm shots. Drake Knight joins in and bell sounds. The referee forces Christian Taylor to exit the ring and stand on the apron in his corner. Jason Price and Drake Knight pepper Mike Smith with punches but Smith starts to fight back and send Drake stumbling backward with a hard rake to his eyes. Smith then begins to power Price backward with some punches but out of desperation Price brings his knee up and keels Smith over. Price then flips Smith to the mat with a hip toss. Smith scrambles to his feet but Drake is recovered and levels him with a closeline. Price hits a legdrop on Smith and then begins to lock in a reverse chin lock but Drake boots him in the back of the head to break up the hold before it even begins.
Torres: Well, that alliance was short lived.
Gould: They’re all short lived in these types of matches. No time to make friends when only one team can leave here with the belts.
Drake continues on Price with a couple more stomps, then he lifts Price to his feet and whips him hard into the corner. Price comes staggering back towards the center of the ring and Drake levels him with a big boot. Mike Smith is back up and he tags in Christian Taylor. Taylor hops in the ring and start to go at it with Drake. They trade punches for a moment and then realizing that he doesn’t want to go toe to toe with Drake, Taylor starts to mix in some kicks and finally sends Drake reeling back into the corner with a spinning heel kick to the face.
Gould: A nice combo by Christian Taylor to send the bigger man reeling.
Jason Price gets to his corner and tags in Sexy Jason. Sexy Jason and Christian Taylor decide to work together to take down the bigger opponent in Drake Knight. Taylor grabs Drake and irish whips him towards Sexy Jason and Jason leaps up and cracks Drake in the face with a dropkick to send the big man to the mat. Christian lifts Drake to his feet once more and together with Sexy Jason they slam Drake to the mat with a double suplex. Ice is stomping her feet trying to rally her tag team partner.
Gould: Christian Taylor and Sexy Jason are pretty effective so far wearing down the much bigger opponent.
Torres: Yeah as long as they don’t start arguing over which one of them is sexier.
Again they lift Drake Knight to his feet but this time Drake lashes out and sends Christian Taylor folding over to the canvas with a huge roundhouse to the midsection. Drake then grabs Sexy Jason and slams him to the mat with a sidewalk slam. Drake stays down on his hands and knees from the move, but he crawls over and tags in Ice. Ice hops in the ring and right away goes to work on Christian Taylor as he’s trying to get back to his feet. Ice scoops Christian Taylor up and powerslams him to the mat. Ice hooks Taylor’s leg and the referee makes the count.
1 . . . 2 . . Kick out!
Gould: Only a two count after that devastating powerslam by Ice.
Torres: I felt the floor shake with that one.
Sexy Jason gets to his feet and just as Ice turns to focus on him he catches her with a forearm shot to stagger her. Jason then runs up and grabs her by the head to plant her headfirst on the canvas with a swinging DDT. Sexy Jason with the cover.
1 . . . 2 . . Kick Out!
Sexy Jason scrambles over and tags in Jason price and the two begin to double team Ice with stomps. Drake is having none of it though and he rushes in and floors Sexy Jason with a jumping spin kick. Sexy Jason rolls clear across the mat and falls to the outside floor. Mike Smith runs in behind Drake however, and he dropkicks Drake in the back of the leg to send him down to one knee. Jason Price then follows suit and cracks Drake in the face with a knee smash. Drake also rolls across the mat and falls to the outside floor. Christian Taylor is up and he grabs Jason Price and drops him with a reverse DDT. The ref finally yells at Mike Smith to get back to his corner and the match is back to normal again.
Gould: So far the referee is barely managing to keep this match under control. But for how long?
Torres: Well your guess is as good as mine. I don’t envy trying to get any of these teams to listen to directions in this match.
Christian tags in Mike Smith and the two go to work on Jason Price. They lift Price to his feet and toss him hard into the corner. Price crashes into the turnbuckle and cringes in pain as he comes stumbling out of the corner and towards the center of the ring. Christian Taylor and Mike Smith both then lunge at Price at the same time and nail him in the face with a double superkick. Price is laid out and Christian Taylor climbs back out to his corner as the legal man, Mike Smith, makes the cover on Price.
1 . . . 2 . . . No! Ice makes the save!
Gould: Ice back up and breaking up the pin!
Ice stomps Mike Smith in the head to break the pin up and then she lifts Smith to his feet and slams him right on top of Jason Price with a scoop slam. Mike Smith rolls across the mat and Ice drops down to cover Price.
1 . . . 2 . . No! Sexy Jason breaks up the pin!
Torres: Now it’s Sexy Jason who breaks the pin up!
Sexy Jason reaches inside the ring and grabs Ice by the leg to yank her off of Jason Price to break up the count. Ice sits up afterwards and kicks Sexy Jason in the face through the ropes to send him staggering back into the barricade. Mike Smith is up and he walks over and hits Ice with an elbow smash to the back of the head as she’s getting up. He then lifts her up for his trademark move, the Attitude Adjustment, but Ice slips out of it and lands behind him. She then grabs him by the back of the tights and drives her shoulder hard into his back with a crushing shoulder charge. Smith falls to the mat and Ice tags in Drake, who’s fresh after a nice rest. Drake climbs in and begins to go to work on Mike Smith while Jason Price is slumped in the corner.
Torres: Smart move by Jason Price. He’s letting the other two wear themselves out while he recovers in the corner.
Gould: Well he needs to make the tag but his tag team partner is just now making it back to his legal corner.
Drake lifts Mike Smith to his feet and tosses him clear across the ring with a chokeslam. He then focuses on Jason Price who has just made it back to his feet. Price waits until Drake is close though and he lashes out with a throat chop to stun the big man. Price then grabs Drake and lifts him up to land an inverted atomic drop. Drake keels over and Price finishes with a big boot to lay Drake out on the mat. Price grabs Mike Smith as he’s getting up and lifts him up for the Enforcer but Christian Taylor comes charging in and spears Price to cause him to drop Mike Smith. Sexy Jason then comes charging across the ring and closelines Taylor over the top rope. Ice enters the ring too and she and Sexy Jason go at it trading punches.
Gould: This referee is losing all control!
Price and Smith are back up and Smith throws a huge roundhouse punch at Price. Price blocks it though and kicks Smith in the gut bending him over and setting him up for Jason Price’s trademark piledriver. Price lands the move and quickly goes for the cover.
1 . . . 2 . . . Kick out!
Torres: Mike Smith manages to kick out before the three count!
Gould: And now Drake is back up and looking to end the match himself!
Again the referee manages to get everybody back to their corner and Drake is recovered. Jason Price crawls over and tags in Sexy Jason while Drake plows over Mike Smith who is just getting to his feet. Drake lifts Mike Smith back up and puts him up onto his shoulders, locking him into the Knight’s Rack, his variation of the torture rack. Mike Smith screams in pain as he struggles to break free. Sexy Jason waits a few moments for the move to do s bit of damage on Smith, then he runs up and chop blocks Drake’s legs from behind to break up the move. Drake is getting to his feet but Jason nails him with a spinning back kick to lay him back down. Sexy Jason then lifts Mike Smith to his feet and lands a side suplex. Sexy Jason with the cover.
1 . . . 2 . . . No! Broken up by Drake!
Drake makes it back up and he stomps Sexy Jason off of Mike Smith. He then lifts Sexy Jason up to his feet and flings him through the air with a belly to belly suplex. Jason lands hard on the mat and Drake then focuses on Mike Smith, but it’s too late as Smith has made it to his corner and is about to tag in a fresh Christian Taylor. Drake charges at them but Taylor gets the tag in time and leapfrogs over the top rope, dropkicking Drake in the face in midair. Drake falls backward to the mat and Taylor scrambles back to his feet. Again Taylor nails Drake as he’s getting up, this time with an enziguri. Drake stumbles backward and now Sexy Jason is up and he grabs Drake from behind and with the help of Christian Taylor, they slam Drake backwards with a backdrop.
Torres: And again these two decide to align and go after Drake.
Sexy Jason then turns and closelines Christian Taylor to the mat.
Torres: Oh, never mind.
Sexy Jason stomps Christian Taylor a few times as he’s getting back up, then he slams Taylor to the mat again with a neckbreaker. Jason then turns and focuses on Drake as he gets up. He grabs Drake and leads him over to the corner where Jason Price is and is about to tag in Price, but Drake breaks free and elbows Sexy Jason in the face. Sexy Jason staggers backward and there is Christian Taylor, barely recovered, but able to use the momentum to plant Jason Price hard on the mat with a german suplex. Drake has no desire to align with Taylor however so he waits for the right moment and smashes Taylor with a forearm smash. Drake tags in Ice and together they lift Christian Taylor to his feet and slam him hard on the mat with a double chokeslam. They then grab Sexy Jason as he’s getting up but Jason Price rushes in and blindsides Drake with a diving shoulder block. Drake falls to the mat and rolls to the outside and Jason Price follows him out, trading punches with Drake as he gets back up. Meanwhile in the ring, Christian Taylor is crawling over to tag in Mike Smith but Ice rushes over and nails Smith in the head with a huge elbow smash to knock him off the apron. Sexy Jason then runs in to attack Ice with a spear but at the last moment Ice sees him coming and jumps out of the way, causing Jason to crash into the corner turnbuckle. Ice then notices Christian Taylor getting to his feet and she grabs him by the throat and lifts him up for the Sacrif-Ice, her chokeslam finisher.
Torres: Ice has him up for that chokelsam!
Gould: But here comes Sexy Jason!
Sexy Jason comes rushing up from behind Ice and elbows her in the back, causing her to drop Christian Taylor. Jason delivers another elbow to Ice’s back and she falls down to her hands and knees. Jason then jumps up and comes down with a third elbow drop to the back of Ice’s head to put her on her face. Sexy Jason scramblers back to his feet and here comes Christian Taylor running at him. Sexy Jason is ready though and he catches Taylor with a spinebuster.
Gould: What a move by Sexy Jason!
Torres: Yeah and now he has control of the ring! This could be it!
Sexy Jason looks around and sees Mike Smith just now starting to show movement on the outside of the ring, as well as his brother still fighting with Drake on the outside. He then spots Ice getting up to her feet and begins to stalk her. He waits until she is all the way up and goes in for the kill but at the last moment Ice lashes out and snatches Jason by the throat. She then lifts him up and slams him down hard with the Sacrif-Ice, this time landing the move perfectly.
Gould: Ice with the chokeslam!
Torres: We might have new champions right here!
Ice falls down to her hands and knees from the impact of the chokelam but she manages to crawl forward and cover Sexy Jason. The ref counts.
1 . . . 2 . . . 3!
Sweet Annihilation wins!
Rebecca: Ladies and gentleman, here are your winners…annnnnnd NEW NAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS….SWEET ANNIHILATION!!
Gould: They did it! Sweet Annihilation have just become the new NAW Tag Team Champions!
Torres: Wow, what a turn of events.
The referee hands the title belts to Ice as their music plays. Drake realizes the match has ended and stops fighting with Jason Price to enter the ring and claim his tag team title belt. The pair celebrate their win as Kandi Washington then comes dashing down the aisle way and into the gin to congratulate her team. Mike Smith and Christian Taylor both recover and make their exit, a disappointed look on their faces as they realize they came up short. Jason price helps Sexy Jason to his feet and they too make their exit as Sweet Annihilation continue their celebration inside the ring.
Gould: Well could this be the beginning of a new power group in the NAW?
Torres: It very well could be. Sweet Annihilation is the new NAW Tag Team Champions and if Kandi Washington can win the NAW Femme Fatal Championship at Holiday Fear…well, this group will certainly have the NAW gold in their favor.
Gould: Well that’s all for us tonight everybody, on behalf of my partner and the rest of the NAW I want to thank you for joining us tonight for our very first show in Denver and he hope to see you next time. Good night everybody!
