Nemesis vs Mike Smith
Rebecca: Ladies and gentleman, this next match is scheduled for one fall.
The lights dim down and a black screen appears on the screen above the ramp. The fans look up in suspense when suddenly "Cochise" by Audioslave hits over the PA system and thunderous virtual fist comes flying to the center of the screen before Mike Smith's career video starts playing.
Rebecca: One his way to the ring first, from Chicago, Illinois…weighing 322 pounds…representing the Power Trip…Mike Smith!!
The fans quickly start to boo and throwing rubbish over the barricade when Mike Smith walks out from the back. He twitches his left eye and barely acknowledges the fans. He doesn't pose at the ramp, but instead continues to make his way down the ramp with his arms beside him. He makes his way down the ramp as fans hanging over the barricade reach over to tap his shoulders. He gets down to the ring apron and reaches his hand up to the second rope, yanking himself upon the apron. He steps over the second rope and stands straight in the ring. He walks over to the middle of the ring and a few steps forward before raising his arms. The fans erupt with chants of "washed up has been!" He shakes his head as he starts walking around the ring. He looks up at the ramp when the lights flicker back on and his music dies down to where it is just the fans booing heard throughout the arena. The arena then goes dark as the open chords of “More Human Than Human” by White Zombie begin to surround the fans of the arena.
Rebecca: And introducing his opponent, from parts unknown…weighing 260 pounds…”The Alpha & Omega” Nemesis!!
With each audio moan on the track’s opening sequence, the arena flashes a deep dark red then as the guitar kicks in the lights slowly begin to rise to a dim setting and we see Nemesis kneeling at the top of the ramp with a now single red spotlight shining down on him. As Rob Zombie’s voice kicks in, Nemesis raises his lowered head, outstretches his arms, raises to his feet and then proceeds forward slowly towards the ring with the arena remaining dark and the lone red spotlight following Nemesis’ path accordingly. Nemesis walks by the fans not phased in the slightest by the cheers and chirps with his eyes solely focused on the ring before him. Nemesis takes his time getting to the ring steps and stops at the final step, only to jump directly onto the top turnbuckle and outstretch his arms while kneeling down. Nemesis then hops down into the ring walking directly into the center of the squared circle where he falls to both knees and lowers his head similarly to how he was on the entrance ramp. As the music continues, Nemesis simultaneously raises his head and outstretches his arms as the lights come on and the music stops.
Gould: This should be an interesting matchup.
Torres: Yeah Edric Hayes has said that the winner of this match will more than likely go on to face Sutton for the NAW Horizon Championship at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre.
The referee waits for both wrestlers to be ready and then he signals for the bell. The match begins and the two wrestlers size each other up. Smith goes in for the grapple but Nemesis gets a boot up and keels Smith over with a kick to the midsection. Nemesis with a backdrop and now he takes control of the match early. Nemesis stays on the offensive with a back suplex and a fireman’s carry neck breaker. Smith tries to rally back with a flurry of punches but Nemesis maintains control with a rake of Smith’s eyes and a brutal closeline. Smith is down and Nemesis attempts an early pin.

Kick out!
Nemesis glares at the referee as he holds up two fingers.
Gould: Just a two, and Nemesis may have though he had him there.
Torres: I don’t know about that. I think he was just letting the referee know that he better do his job right.
Nemesis pulls Smith to his feet and Smith curls him over with a low blow, somehow unseen by the referee. Smith follows up with a rising knee to the face to send Nemesis to the mat. Smith catches his breath and now it’s him who begins the offense. He grabs Nemesis as he gets to his feet and slams him backward with a backdrop. Smith drops a falling headbutt and then a fist drop. Smith lets Nemesis get back up and then levels him with a running big boot. Smith with the cover.

Smith gets up and keeps the pressure on Nemesis with stomps and kicks. Nemesis manages to weather the storm and he makes it to his feet. Smith comes at him with a closeline but Nemesis catches him and scoops him up to land a reverse atomic drop. Smith keels over and Nemesis bounces off the ropes to come flying back with a springboard heel kick. Smith is down and Nemesis begins targeting his back with stomps. Nemesis locks in a Texas cloverleaf. Mike Smith reaches out for the ropes but Nemesis has him in the center of the ring.
Gould: Texas cloverleaf!
Torres: And Nemesis has it locked in tight!
Nemesis leans back and squeezes to apply even more pressure to the cloverleaf. Mike Smith is slowly inching his way towards the ropes but Nemesis is still continuing to wrench on his back.
Torres: Can Mike Smith make it to the ropes in time?
Gould: It looks like he’s giving it a hell of an effort!
Smith grunts in pain as he reaches out with his right hand. Nemesis looks back and sensing that Smith is probably going to make it to the ropes, he lets go of the move and then pulls Smith back to the center of the ring. Nemesis begins to lock the cloverleaf in again but Smith grabs him by the head and rolls him up into a pin. Smith puts his feet up on the ropes for leverage and the ref doesn’t see it as he makes the count.

Gould: Only a two count, but did you see Mike Smith use the ropes for leverage?
Torres: Well it’s like I always say, if you can get away with it…use it.
Gould: What? When have you ever said that?
Torres: I just did.
Nemesis scrambles to his feet, a bit surprised by the pin attempt. Smith makes it to his feet as well and the two square off in the center of the ring. Again the two go in for the grapple but this time it’s Smith who takes the advantage with a knee to the midsection of Nemesis. Smith then flips Nemesis over with a side suplex and then goes to work. Knee drop to the back, gutbuster drop, now Mike Smith is climbing the turnbuckle!
Gould: Mike Smith is taking this fight to the skies!
Torres: Well he’s on the second turnbuckle, I wouldn’t exactly call it the sky.
Smith waits on the second turnbuckle as Nemesis makes it to his feet. Smith leaps off and levels Nemesis with a diving closeline. Smith with the cover.

Gould: Only a two but Mike Smith is really beginning to hurt Nemesis!
Torres: Is hurting this guy even possible?
Smith lifts Nemesis to his feet and begins to lock in his trademark torture rack submission hold. But before he can get Nemesis up on his shoulders, Nemesis pounds away at his head with forearm smashes. Smith drops Nemesis and Nemesis then delivers a chop to Mike Smith’s throat to stagger him backward. Smith shakes out the cobwebs and regains his bearings but Nemesis is already on the move with a closeline. Nemesis floors Smith with the closeline and now Nemesis is stalking Smith as he slowly gets to his feet. Smith makes it up and Nemesis hits the 3:30!
Gould: Nemesis with his signature spinning implant DDT!
Torres: What a move!
Nemesis gets down and makes the cover.

Gould: No! Mike Smith kicks out at two!
Torres: Wow, I thought for sure Nemesis had him there.
Nemesis again glares at the ref as he shakes his head and holds up two fingers. Nemesis pulls Mike Smith back to his feet and lifts him up for his modified GTS finishing move, which he calls the Enoch. Mike Smith reaches out and rakes Nemesis across the eyes however and Nemesis drops him. Smith then grabs Nemesis by the head and drops down for a DDT. Both men are down and the ref checks on them.
Torres: Mike Smith just narrowly escaped being put away.
Gould: And now both wrestlers are down and very slow to get back up.
Both men crawl to the rope and pull themselves back to their feet. They make it out to the center of the ring at the same time and begin to trade punches. Nemesis swings away at Smith with hooks and roundhouses and Smith fires back with some punches of his own. Nemesis…Smith…Nemesis…Smith…Nemesis…Smith…Nemesis…Smith…Smith…Smith…
Torres: Mike Smith is taking it to Nemesis!
Mike Smith blocks one last punch from Nemesis and then takes him down with a front facelock STO. Nemesis is very slow to get up and Mike Smith catches his breath. Nemesis makes it up and Smith slams him to the mat with a lifting spinebuster. Smith slowly crawls over and covers Nemesis.

Kick out!
Gould: Just a two count!
Torres: Mike Smith was a little slow to get over there and make the cover, I think he felt the effects of that spinebuster too.
Gould: Well picking a 360 pound guy up off the mat will certainly put some strain on a person’s back. I couldn’t imagine trying to do it during a match like this.
Torres: Well Mike Smith is no slouch himself, clocking in at over 300 pounds. This match is like watching Godzilla versus King Kong all over again!
Smith pulls Nemesis back to his feet and signals that he wants to end it. He grabs Nemesis by the back of his head and sets him up for the Final Cut. Nemesis elbows Smith in the face to escape his grasp though and then pushes Smith away. Smith runs back at him with a closeline But Nemesis ducks and Smith runs past him and to the ropes. Smith bounces off the ropes and comes running back and Nemesis scoops him up and hits a spinning back suplex into a sideslam!
Gould: Whoa what a counter by Nemesis!
Torres: Yeah that even made me dizzy just watching it.
Nemesis slowly crawls over and makes the cover.

Kick out!
Gould: No! Again Mike Smith is able to kick out before the three count!
Nemesis lifts Smith to his feet and tosses him hard into the corner. Nemesis runs in for a closeline but Smith gets a boot up to crack Nemesis in the face. Nemesis staggers backward and Smith lunges forward with a forearm smash to send Nemesis to the mat. Smith lifts Nemesis to his feet and Nemesis lashes out with a throat chop. Smith staggers backward and Nemesis lunges at him with a closeline. Smith ducks though and instead Nemesis closelines the referee!
Gould: Oh my! Nemesis just took out the referee with that closeline!
Torres: And now here comes Mike Smith!
Paying no mind to the downed referee, Nemesis whips around to face Smith. But Smith is waiting for him and he grabs him and lands the Final Cut!
Torres: Mike Smith hit the Final Cut! It might be all over!
Gould: But there’s no referee!
Smith covers Nemesis and waits for the count. After a couple seconds he looks over and notices that the referee is out. Smith crawls over and pushes the referee a bit to try to wake him up. Meanwhile Nemesis is able roll out of the ring and fall the floor to recover. Smith spots him though and goes right after him. He climbs out of the ring and grabs Nemesis as he’s slowly getting up. Nemesis lashes out with a punch to Smith’s midsection though and then he rams Smith’s head into the ring apron. Smith staggers backward and Nemesis runs up and lands a big boot. Smith is down and Nemesis takes some time to recover. Nemesis then looks at the timekeeper’s area and spots a folded up steel chair. He staggers over and picks the chair up, focusing on Mike Smith as he uses the ring apron to pull himself back up.
Torres: Uh oh, Nemesis has that steel chair!
Gould: And the referee is still out of commission!
Nemesis walks over and cracks Smith across his back with the chair. Smith falls to his hands and knees and Nemesis winds up again. Smith suddenly lashes out with a low blow though and Nemesis keels over. Smith gets to his feet and floors Nemesis with a big boot. Smith then picks up the chair and he waits for Nemesis to get back up. Smith nails Nemesis over the head with the chair and Nemesis staggers backwards. Smith winds up again but Nemesis gets a boot up and stuns him with a kick to the midsection. Nemesis then snatches the chair away and nails Mike Smith over the head with a chair shot. Smith staggers backward and falls intothe ring steps, but manages to remain on his feet. Nemesis winds up again but then suddenly the bell rings and he stops and looks around, wondering what’s happening.
Torres: The referee is back up!
Gould: And he just called for the bell!
The referee talks with Rebecca and she nods her head. She then walks to the center of the ring with her mic.
Rebecca: Ladies and gentleman, the referee has disqualified both Nemesis and Mike Smith, therefore this match has been ruled a no contest!
Gould: What? Are you kidding me? Nemesis was the one who picked up the chair in the first place! Why is Mike Smith getting disqualified?
Torres: Well the referee doesn’t know that, he just has to call it like he sees it. And what he seen was Mike Smith and Nemesis both using that chair.
Nemesis grits his teeth and comes at Mike Smith with the chair but Smith manages to leap up and dropkick the chair, causing it to smack Nemesis in the face. Nemesis drop to the floor and Smith picks the chair up off the floor. NAW security appears however and they get in between Nemesis and Mike Smith, getting the chair from Smith and trying to convince him to head towards the backstage.
Gould: NAW security is trying to break these two up but I’m not sure is they’re going to be able to accomplish much.
Torres: Well it looks like Smith is finally giving in, but I don’t think this is over between these two.
Gould: Yeah but more importantly, now who’s going to face Sutton at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre?
Mike Smith raises both arms above his head in celebration style and begins to head towards the backstage. Nemesis stands up and shoots Smith a death stare as Meltdown then goes to commercial.
