San Juan the capital of Puerto Rico. On the coast of Puerto Rico, the beautiful beaches of San Juan are huge tourist attractions with the crystal sparkle of the ocean as a nice calm breeze blows smoothly through the air. A man is walking on the beach staring out into the vast body of water. After a few seconds he turns away from the ocean and starts walking toward the condominium that lies on the beach.
Esteban Almeida: Hola seniors and senoritas and welcome to beautiful San Juan, Puerto Rico. I am the Pride of Puerto Rico Esteban Almeida. An accomplished boxer here in San Juan, I am the 3 time Puerto Rico Heavyweight Champion. I retired after the sport got too easy for me. There was no competition I battered opponents left and right, tearing through first round KO after first round KO. I realized Esteban Almeida was superior to his competition. So I announced my retirement from boxing officially ending my massive dominance.
The next scene shows the slums of San Juan. Esteban is shown walking through the streets handing people wads of money as he passes. He stops at the presence of an older woman. They have a small conversation that brings a huge smile to Esteban's face as he also hands her a wad of cash which is revealed to hold hundred dollar bills.
Esteban Almeida: Welcome to the streets of San Juan which has been my home my whole life. I grew up right here on this very street. As a young boy in a poor lifestyle I didn't have much so I played with all the kids in the neighborhood. Our favorite game was baseball. I know how these people are and the life they live. Most of them are family to me so I give back to the community. You could say I am a Puerto Rican Robin Hood. I make money and give back to the poor. Its also on this neighborhood I learned about loyalty and how to provide for myself thanks to my brother Eduardo the leader of the El Nino gang.
Esteban then walks into a building down the street. This building unlike the others is a very upscale house with two body guards at the bottom entrance. The camera follows him in to the house. Inside a sparkling chandelier hangs high above the main room, which has paintings hanging on the walls giving it a very artsy setting. Up the stairs Esteban is hovering over the railing on the massive balcony looking over the slums of San Juan as people wave in joy up from the street.
Esteban Almeida: As a part of the El Ninos I learned about brotherhood, loyalty and true justice. You see the police did nothing to the true criminals of the streets. I witnessed a man beat and mug a helpless old woman and the police they just looked the other way and pretended it didn't happen. I couldn't just watch that and let it go. He needed to pay the price, so me and my boys taught him a little lesson in humility. My boys took care of me, I took care of them and we took care of our family in the neighborhood. Everyone looks up to us, they cheer when we walk down the streets. So I adopted the name The Pride of Puerto Rico when I began my boxing career. Now that that is finished I look to dominate a new sport. That sport would be the world of wrestling.
Closing the doors to the balcony Almeida walks back into the main room. He stops as he admires the beauty of the paintings and the chandelier dangling from the ceiling.
Esteban Almeida: I am going to make my wrestling debut in the WBSW. So I say get ready Americano because the Pride of Puerto Rico is coming like a hurricane. If you are with me I will treat you like my family and respect you as if you were my brother Eduardo, but if you aren't with me then your against me and if your against me then no one can save you Americano. You will find out the furry of the Puerto Rican Powerhouse. Viva la Puerto Rico.
Esteban then escorts the cameramen out the door giving one more wave to the people on the street and shuts the door behind the body guards.
