WBSW Live! Holiday Fear has come to a close, and the backstage area of the Mohegan Sun area in Wilkes Barre is buzzing with activity. After a night of non-stop action, the superstars of the WBSW are seen clearing out from their locker rooms with their gear in tow. Among them is the WBSW Champion Gunner Hughes. He has a bandage on his forehead, but also a look of satisfaction in his eyes as he makes his way through the hallway with his title belt draped over his shoulder, and people are patting him on his back and congratulating him as he walks by them. WBSW Reporter Barry Lincoln is then seen standing at the end of the hallway waiting for him, and he greets Gunner with a smile.[/i]
Barry: "Congratulations champ! It was one hell of a fight, but you did it....you defeated Steven Gold and retained the WBSW Championship. How does it feel?"
Gunner smiles and rubs the faceplate of the championship belt.[/i]
Gunner: "It feels great Barry. I put in alot of training for this match, I was ready for a war, and that's exactly what I got. I even got nine little souvenirs to carry around so I can remember it for the next couple weeks."
Gunner smiles again and rubs the bandage on his head, referring to the nine stitches that he just received due to his head being driven into the soundboard during the match earlier.[/i]
Barry: "Well after the match you were yet again assaulted by the Northwest Express and Steven Gold, and then left to the attention of the medical staff. You looked like you recovered pretty well though, so that's good, but the big news tonight following the show is the resignation of the entire EIW....the Northwest Express and Steven Gold. Gold stated that he was unhappy with Alex Morgan's decision to allow you to remain the WBSW Champion and he was quitting the WBSW. What are your thoughts on that?"
Gunner gets a shocked look on his face at first. Steven Gold quitting the WBSW? The man who spent the last two weeks saying how great he is....is a quitter? A smile then slowly forms across his lips as he realizes that his impression of Gold when he first arrived in the WBSW was the correct one all along. He shakes his head as he responds.[/i]
Gunner: "Well that's too bad. I guess there's a reason why they say that there's no stronger impressions than a first impression. I figured Gold for a worthless chump the first time I seen him, but after the fight he gave me in our first match I gave him the benefit of the doubt and figured I was wrong about him. He seemed like he had his head screwed on straight, and he seemed like he was ready to come back and do it again. I guess maybe he just couldn't handle failure again."
Barry: "On his way out the door, Steven Gold had a few complaints. He was unhappy that the people in the WBSW didn't acknowledge his nickname, and he also stated that he was retracting the offer to present the OWA Interglobal Championship to the WBSW as it's secondary title belt, adding that the EIW no longer wishes to help the WBSW. What are your thoughts on that?"
Gunner laughs.[/i]
Gunner: "Really? The WBSW needs help from the EIW?"
He adjusts the title belt on his shoulder and pats the faceplate.[/i]
Gunner: "And what exactly did the EIW ever have to offer the WBSW in the first place? A make believe title belt? More flunkies like Billy Sandow and Ricky Mosses? Another quitter like Steven Yellow?"
Barry: "You mean Gold?"
Gunner: "No I mean yellow. From this point forward, when anybody mentions that loser's name in this company he will be known as Steven Yellow. He's a quitter...a coward who's afraid of continued failure in the WBSW. He's faced with an obstacle that he's having trouble getting past, but instead of just putting his nose to the grindstone and coming back harder....he decides to walk away and take his lackeys with him. Maybe that's why nobody ever acknowledged their nicknames here. There's nothing "BadAss" about Billy Sandow. There's nothing "Ravishing' about Ricky Moses. And after tonight and everything that's happened in the aftermath....there's obviously nothing "Stunning" about Steven Gold. Except the fact that he calls himself a professional wrestler."
Barry: "Well now that you've defended your title belt here tonight champ...what's next?"
Gunner: "What's next is me relaxing and enjoying the holiday. Hopefully the members of the WBSW and all of the fans do the same thing as well. Have a great night Barry...Merry Christmas."
Barry: "Same to you champ."
Gunner walks off and the scene fades.[/i]
