The scene opens to the backstage area of Meltdown, as Meltdown interviewer Barry Lincoln is standing by with the newly signed NAW superstar Trent Brown .
Barry Lincoln: Hello once again NAW fans I'm Barry Lincoln standing here with new NAW superstar Trent Brown . Trent thanks for taking the time to do this interview.
Trent who's dressed rather nicely in jeans, a gray vest, blue shirt and a gray flat cap gives a smirk as he speaks with his Irish accent.
Trent: Sure its not like I got anything better to do .
Lincoln who is unfazed by Trent's size or snarky behavior continues on the interview .
Barry Lincoln: This week you make your debut on the St. Valentine's Day Massacre pre show against Andrew the Beast. What are your thoughts on this match?
Trent gives a slight smirk and a quick laugh as if he finds his opponent amusing . After a moment or two Trent speaks his mind on the match.
Trent: Andrew the Beast huh? Does anybody even know who this kid is? I've been wrestling meself for years and this kid just shows up out of nowhere and gets a spot on a card in a place like this? His size got him the job I bet . This business loves big guys as you know. Listen kid go back to playing with the koalas cause this ain't no picnic. I've been a fighter me whole life and I use to eat guys like you for lunch.
That smirky smile spreads across Trent's face as he thinks of this kid's reported size and remembers how he use to rip guys like this apart in both the ring and in fights alike. Trent then proceeds to go into detail on how he plans to win the match.
Trent: So you're a big guy? Big damn deal. Size may get you looked at in this business, but its how you use that size that matters. You know the old saying, the bigger they are the harder they fall right? Well until you prove to me otherwise, that's what I'm going to believe . I don't back down. I've been on me own since I was 17 and didn't need anyone to watch my back.
The veins in Trent's neck looks as if they're going to pop out of him as he explains why he has the reputation he does as a fighter.
Trent: Me whole life I've been a fighter. I fought for even the food on me table. I fought off other kids who looked at me like a common street rat. Fighting is all I know. Its what got me here. I'll damn near beat a man half to death if it comes to that to win that match or fight.
Trent's blue gray eyes are full of passion and pride as he goes on to talk about his family and country.
Trent: I come from a place where you work for what you have and fight for the honor of your family. We, the Irish, are a proud bunch. Our family and honor is our lives. Say anything to question that and you might as well have signed your own death warrant . Make no mistake we have our problems but when push comes to shove we stand together as one . Something that could be said for other places in the world. I don't scare , I don't run and I don't hide. I'm a man who stands on me own two feet.
Trent looks directly into the camera as if its his opponent as he speaks his mind one last time.
Trent: This is an opportunity for either of us. Who ever makes an impact will get noticed by the higher ups here. I've sacrificed too much to lose this chance. Your in my way of greatness. I'm gonna rip you limb from limb and when its all said and done and the dust is settled, I'll be the one with me arm raised and it will be lights out for you . Good luck lad cause believe me you're gonna need it.
Trent shoves the microphone back to Lincoln and walks off the set as the scene fades out.
narration: Me life has never been easy. I had to fight for all I had. Me mom and dad were poor and did the best they could to support me growing up. They can't be blamed for how I became a bitter and selfish man . I saw other kids with new toys and whatever they wanted. I didn't understand why meself couldn't have the same. At a young age I knew I was different . I was a poor kid . Years later as I grew into a young man, I saw these same kids, now of driving age, with brand new cars while I had to brake my back working , just to have a ratty old second hand car. No matter this installed the mental toughness inside me I needed to survive.
Trent pulls out his wallet , takes out an old and worn photo of himself, his mom and dad and thinks back on when he was a teenager and how his disrespectful ways cut ties with his family for many years .

The scene fades back in time to a young 17 year old Trent Brown who looks much bigger and older than the other boys his age. He pulls into the driveway of his home. Trent opens the door to his home and finds his mother sitting at the kitchen table crying. His father was holding a bottle of whiskey in his hand along with Trent's secret stash of money made from winning illegal fights .
Trent: I can explain . I...
Trent starts to explain but is cut off sharply by his father.
Trent's Dad: Boy you're in a lot of trouble . How did you wind up with a bottle of whiskey when you're only 17!? Never mind I got an idea . All this money is from those fights isn't!? You're mom and I forbid you from being a part of those! You're 17 and need to stay in school. Get an education so you can be better off than your mom and I and get a good job. Don't make the same mistakes as I did son. We make these rules cause we...
Trent cuts his father off as sharply as he was cut off and in his own anger says things he will later in life regret.
Trent: You don't give a damn about me! You want to control me and make me your robot! You just can't stand the fact that I want me own life! Your mistakes? You're just bitter cause I'm a better fighter than you ever were! Its cause of you that mom and I have nothing! I hate you and wish I had a different father !
Trent's father looks hurt but being the stubborn and proud man that he is, still holds his ground to his son and gives him a ultimatum.
Trent's Dad: You may hate me but as long as you live here you will obey our rules.
Trent looks at his mother who is sobbing then at his father before making a decision he'll wish he never made.
Trent: Fine! I'll leave then!
Trent walks out the front door and slams it behind him. He takes one last look at his house before peeling out of the driveway as the scene fades.
We fade back into to present day as Trent puts the photo away and speaks once again .
narration: I spent five years not speaking to me family . I lived on me own . Taking any job I could along with the occasional fight that would pay a little money . I regret that moment of me life. When I did speak to them again me dad was sick and not doing well. I came close to losing him and to think I could have never spoken to him or me mom again all over a stupid fight. While I regret that moment it still makes me part of who I am.
Scene fades.
