[Filmed Earlier Today]
The screens in the Events Center show a filming from earlier today, the scene opens in an office, or more of a board room, really. There is a huge conference table with about 12 people sitting around it, all in suits. Alex Morgan is standing at one end, right in front of a huge poster with some ridiculous "12-point" plan written out that you always see in the movies and on tv. Ridiculous.
Morgan
You see, there's no way that this idea can fail. So give it the proper time, and we'll get the ball rolling.
Businessman
Mr. Morgan, we don't have a lot of time.
Morgan
No worries Mr. Conn. It won't be too long. Give me just a few more weeks to get the idea out there. Anyway, that's all I have, so if we could leave it at that?
All people at the table agree to adjourn, Alex being the first to leave as the scene cuts and "Now We Run" by Steve Vai plays signaling the start of our show, but I want to know what the big plan is!
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to WBSW Live! We are once again coming to you from the web, I have a bad feeling we're gonna lose our radio deal. But anyway, we have a night with quite a bit of action for you, including some Gunner Hughes action in a non-title match! It's huge, it's action, and it's Live!
David Fraggle is walking through a corridor and he gets to Morgan's office.
Morgan
Come in!
Fraggle opens the door, and he and Mitch Thompson are seen sitting in the office, clearly in mid conversation.
Morgan
Can I help you, Mr. Fraggle?
Fraggle
Those two ruined my moment last week.
Morgan
Los Conquistadores? Yes, and strangely enough, they also left the tag team titles for me as well. As though they wanted to show honor.
Thompson
You call that mugging two weeks ago honor?
Morgan shrugs. That clearly wasn't the right word.
Fraggle
I want them in a match.
Morgan
I'm afraid I can't give someone like yourself a match against two dangerous competitors. We don't know what they have to offer yet.
Fraggle
My beating your goon wasn't enough?
Thompson
Excuse me?
Fraggle completely ignores Thompson.
Fraggle
Alex, I know you're a very smart man, but you seem to underestimate me too much. I want them in a match, and I want it tonight.
Morgan
Well you're certainly not being given a match tonight. You're already booked to compete.
Fraggle looks at him, as though to say "So? I still want them."
Morgan
Look. Get ready for your match. I promise you I will get something sorted out.
Fraggle rolls his eyes and leaves the office as we come back to the arena.
"Lumber" Jack Jackson waits in the ring as "Alive" by P.O.D hits. After a few seconds, the self proclaimed "man with all the talent" appears on the stage. Not too much reaction from our fans, which is to be expected with a new arrival. As he gets into the ring, we see Mark Lansing go for the bell, and this is all Costella from the get go. He takes a charging Jackson down with a nice Hip Toss, and they get back up. An arm drag into a Kimura Lock a few seconds later, but Jackson gets to the ropes real quick. They get back up, and Costella moves in, first apying a front face lock, then switching himself up a bit and dropping Jackson with a DDT. The crowd pops for it, and I must admit, it was very nicely done. He covers, but doesn't quite get to a two count just yet. Jackson looking strong, but not very.
Costella gets back to his feet, watching and waiting for Jackson to get into prime position. He runs at a dazed Jackson and hits a Swinging Neckbreaker that puts the crowd into another huge applause. He covers for a two, then goes right to town on Jackson. This ends with Costella dragging him to his feet and tossing him forcefully into the turnbuckle.
Jackson gets tossed around like a rag doll for about two more minutes, Costella going lights out on him. Repeated German Suplexes, I actually lost count. He follows this up with a HUGE bulldog that received a HUGE pop. After all of this, he pulls Jackson to the turnbuckle and gives him the Tornado DDT that Costella refers to as the Turnbuckle Special!
He pulls his signature pose, waiting for the perfect moment to strike, making his case to be called The Supreme...Jackson very slowly climbs to his feet, and Costella lights us up with the Farenheiter! He gets the three and this is over!
"Alive" hits and Costella immediately gets to his feet, holding his arms high. It was a quick and very short performance, but still great nonetheless. I can't necessarily speak for Torres, but I think Gunner Hughes better have been watching that match.
Adam Stryker vs David Fraggle
That brilliant Queens of the Stone Age tune hits, and the crowd is immediately on their feet. Not just because 3's and 7's is a great song though.
It's also because Adam Stryker is becoming a fan favorite. This is the epitome of what a great wrestler should be. He comes out here, performs week after week, and win or lose, he knows that he gave all that he had. He slides into the ring, the crowd still jamming along, and he hops up onto the turnbuckle, holding his Hardcore Championship high for the entire audience to see.
Mid cutthroat, we hear the interruption. "To Kill a Stranger" hits and the crowd goes deafly silent. As David Fraggle appears on stage, we get a lot of cheers actually. The crowd seems to really like this guy. He even greets a few. This is odd. He slides into the ring, running to the nearest turnbuckle and holding his arms high.
Stryker wastes no time getting the match started though, as he drags Fraggle to the mat and drops an elbow on him immediately. He throws a few elbows into Fraggle's chest, but Fraggle eventually gets out of the way and both men hop right back up.
Something Stryker should be keeping in mind here is that David Fraggle got the living piss beat out of him by Mitch Thompson last show, and still pulled out the victory. A pretty nicely done Dropkick now from Fraggle, which sends Stryker to the mat and probably in quite a great deal of pain. Stryker gets up quickly though, as both men lock arms. First Fraggle gets the advantage, pushing Stryker back, but Stryker turns it to his end as he eventually shoved Fraggle to the mat. Fraggle gets up quickly though, charging for Stryker and plowing right through him. Tough for a little guy. He picks Stryker up and drops him with a DDT, then goes for a cover, but only gets a one count! He gets back up and pulls Stryker by the hair. He whips him to the ropes and when Stryker comes back, he slides under Fraggle. Fraggle turns around into a pretty cool Roundhouse kick, and both men go down, Stryker dropping to one knee.
Stryker's appears to have been intentional, as he gets right back up and nothing looks to be wrong. He goes for an uncommon top rope attempt as he dives off, landing a Tilt-a-Whirl Headscissors and sending David Fraggle across the ring. The adrenaline has gotten to him as he looks to the crowd and is already signaling for his signature move. He runs to the turnbuckle opposite Fraggle, waiting for Fraggle to get to his feet. Fraggle does, and as Stryker goes for the Spear he calls the Stryke, Fraggle sidesteps it and guides Stryker to the outside! Great last second save by Fraggle to keep the match alive!
As Fraggle collects himself quickly, he runs the opposite rope and slides from the middle of the ring, catching Stryker in the jaw with a baseball slide! He finishes sliding out as he grabs Stryker. He gets Stryker caught up in the guard rail and starts landing some Backhand Chops to the Hardcore Champ's chest. After a very harsh chop, Stryker gets his arms out of the rail and goes to the mat, clutching his chest. Fraggle slides him into the ring, climbing to the top rope and jumping off with a huge stomp that has to have broken a few ribs, and he covers. This has to be over, but it isn't! Stryker gets a leg on the rope and forces the break!
Fraggle is in complete shock, and he gets to his feet. Stryker gets up slowly, clutching his ribs in severe pain. Fraggle charges at Stryker, but misses a Clothesline as Stryker ducks. He turns around and kicks Fraggle out onto the apron, then leans against the ropes for a few seconds. Fraggle collects himself quickly, and before Stryker can get any good rest, charges at Stryker and they both spill out onto the floor! They're right in front of our table now as Fraggle lands some huge punches, but Stryker fights back.
This goes on until the count starts getting high. Fraggle and Stryker both slide back into the ring, and Stryker gets an automatic upper hand with a few well placed kicks to the midsection of David Fraggle. He pulls Fraggle into position for a DDT, but Fraggle uses his shoulder to push Stryker into the corner. In the corner he hits Stryker in the ribs several times with his shoulder, the last one with immense power that puts Stryker into a great deal of pain.
After a few seconds, Fraggle steps back, and while Stryker is leaning on the turnbuckle, he does one of the most well executed moves I've seen since we opened. He runs straight for Stryker, and lands a flawless Enziguiri, using the second rope to get some air. Stryker falls lifelessly to the mat, and the ball looks to be in Fraggle's court right now! He covers, still only picking up the two count!
Stryker slowly gets back to his feet while Fraggle gets set up. Fraggle runs and dropkicks Stryker, sending him right back down to the mat, and as Stryker gets back up, Fraggle gets ahold of him and knees him in the guy, then takes off running with a grip on him but Stryker turns it into an Atomic Drop! When Fraggle turns around in immense pain, Stryker hits him hard with a wicked Enziguiri!
Both men lie on the mat momentarily, Stryker rolling out of the ring. He crawls on his hands and knees to our table, and stares at the Hardcore Championship. He grabs it off the table and slides into the ring, getting ready to hit Fraggle with it as he gets to his feet. Just as he goes to swing it, he is stopped by the ref. The two fight for the belt for a minute and Fraggle runs and Dropkicks Stryker again, but this time the ref goes down as well. Fraggle throws the belt onto the floor outside and gets ready to set up for his finisher.
Stryker gets up and Fraggle connects with the Fraggle Rock Drop! He covers but the referee is unconscious!
Suddenly, out of nowhere come Los Conquistadores, and one of them hits him from behind with a lead pipe! Then both men kick at the downed competitor for several seconds. As Stryker gets ready to chase him off, Loco, the slightly smaller one, lands an Enziguiri of his own, and I feel like that had to have knocked Stryker out!
As the ref comes to, and security(led by Thompson) run down the ramp, the two men escape through the crowd. Security chase the two men up one set of stairs, and down another, as Fraggle manages to work his way to his feet and land another Fraggle Rock Drop, this time covering for the win!
He holds his arm up in victory, but the sight of the moment is when from the crowd, one masked guy ducks a Clothesline from Thompson, and Mitch loses balance, falling from a deck about eight feet high and crashing through a table with some refreshments below.
Holy shit, Thompson could have some major spinal damage. The medical team comes for him as we cut to some video package.
We see two men in suits running from a flaming car, which proceeds to explode, but obviously not before the two men find sufficient cover and have their guns drawn. It cuts again to one of them punching a criminal, then the other kicking one in the head. In bold letters across the screen we see "COURAGE" pop up.
The two men are then seen in a dance club and they come to the most attractive ladies in the place. One guy whispers in a girl's ear and she slaps him. He shrugs, and now the word "CONFIDENCE" pops up.
The video cuts to a breakfast table where one of them is seen enjoying a bowl of cereal. He gives a thumbs up and we see "CORNFLAKES" come up now as the scene fades out.
Update
During the previous vignette, the medics got Thompson on a stretcher. He is being carted up the ramp as I type this. As he gets to the stage, he gives the crowd a thumbs up from the stretcher. I think he'll pull through this, which is great to know.
As he is sent out of the arena area, the crowd cheers him on.
