[Bohannon is in the locker room of the NAW arena. He is standing in front of the mirror. He has his jeans on, but no shirt. He is looking in the mirror. He does a couple of his best stereotypical muscle head flexes...then laughs.]
Bohannon: “The difference between being a main eventer and being related to one...”
[Bohannon puts on a black Mid South Syndicate shirt and walks over to the cooler. He reaches inside and grabs a drink.]
Bohannon: Jason Price, you talk about why you consider yourself a main eventer. But all you can talk about is what you did in the past. You're not a main eventer anymore. Your time has come and gone. You brag about being the tag-team champions, but you won't even face a legitimate team. You know you live in a house cards. You can't even keep that idiot brother of yours from shooting his mouth off. The Agents of Chaos has shown itself to be exactly one thing. Noah Hanson and a bunch of lackeys. From day 1, all Hanson has done is win. What have the rest of you done? Rocky Hollywood's career here is essentially over. Your brother was a joke from day one. And what has become the great Jason Price?
[Bohannon opens a bottle of water and takes a sip.]
Bohannon: “At Heatwave 2016, it could be the Prices versus the Mid South Syndicate for the tag team titles. Instead the tag team titles go under the undefended because you wanted to hide. Jason you say you're not afraid of me I know that to be true. You're too arrogant to be afraid.
[Bohannon takes another long drink from the bottle.]
Bohannon: “Everything is mental with you. The games you played with Alaric. There was a time that you were the most devious mind in the sport. But all that has changed. All the backstage manipulating and conniving. Even screwing Noah Hanson out of a match because you knew you were beat. It shows that you're not at the top of that mental game anymore. Physically you're not the wrestler used to be, either. And you don't have the heart of a champion anymore, if you ever did it all.
[Bohannon finishes the water and tosses the bottle in the trash (a nice shot from across the room, by the way.]
Bohannon: “Havoc, I know this is where I'm supposed to come out and talk trash on you. I'm supposed tell you how I'm gonna take your title. I'm supposed to talk about your mom or something. But I'm not gonna do that. Instead I'm gonna try to help you.”
[Bohannon turns a chair around and sits down, his arms resting on the back of the chair.]
Bohannon: “I try not to involve myself in other people's personal affairs. Outside the rain your life is your business. But since you shared it, I feel obligated to comment on it. Not to put you down, but to give you some perspective.”
[Bohannon runs his hand through his long hair.]
Bohannon: “You're fooling yourself, with what happened between you and your girlfriend. And I say that because it directly relates to what you had to say about me. You claim that my heart while it can be a benefit is also my biggest problem. Havoc your heart is never your problem. Look at Jason Price. There is a wrestler with no heart. I'm sure that he would agree, because he would say he has no mercy no sympathy no weakness. But the reality is when going gets tough when the pain is more than you can take, it's only your heart that keeps you going.”
[Bohannon, in spite of all of the questions regarding his struggles in 2016, few have questioned his heart.]
Bohannon: “You sent her away because you felt like having feelings for her was weakness. They aren't weakness...they never were. Sharing your life with another person is not weakness. Sharing their pain their heart ache that's not weakness. Your success has nothing to do with becoming Havoc. This skill, this talent, this heart was in you all along.”
[Bohannon's eyes take on a far away look.]
Bohannon: “My father was a wrestler. Wrestling was our family's life. I watched how he and my mother shared the good times and the bad times, not just in the wrestling life but in the rest of life too. Many people claim that my father could've been the world champion. Lots of great wrestling minds who I respect have said the same. They've also said that he had to make a choice. The point came in his career where he needed to go all in as a wrestler or all in as a father and a husband. He went all in for his family. He never won the world championship. Yet he sleeps peacefully at night knowing that he made the right decision for him.”
[Bohannon seems to refocus. His voice, however, remains soft.]
Bohannon: “Maybe this is the right decision for you. Maybe the road that you're on is the correct one. Walking that road alone can be an unspeakable burden. Maybe one day you will be Legacy champion. Even if you are Havoc, one day after that you will cease to be the Legacy champion anymore. When that day comes what will you have left? Will you have filled that emptiness in your soul? Will you have chased away all of the demons that haunt you? Will the shadows that envelop your life have gone away? Those are questions that no one can answer for you. But I pose them now not as your enemy, not as your opponent, but as a fellow wrestler and a fellow man. This life that we live it's hard. Being on the road as much as we are, there aren't many people willing to sacrifice to be a part of that life. If you found someone who's willing to share your life with you, accepting the way it will be. At least give it some thought.”
[Bohannon gets up from the chair, grabs his bag and heads for the door.]
Bohannon: “I don't know why everyone is talking about wrestling for the Legacy title at Hall of Fame. This match is for the Horizon Title. That is my one and only focus, my one and only goal. I'll see ya'll real soon.'
[Bohannon heads out the locker room door.
