The Unbroken Vow
“And from what I have heard, Havoc has been taking to Zacharias Adler, the owner of Brutal Force Wrestling and it looks good for him Doug. I wasn’t expecting to see Havoc in any other company but I guess I was wrong. BFW themselves have confirmed the signing on their Twitter account. And this is huge. For both parties here. ” Said Jack King, in his famous wrestling podcast, Taking Wrestling with Doug and King. Havoc had been on the news recently as news had spread of him signing with BFW. This meant that Havoc was going to be on TV on Wednesday and Friday nights on the respective companies. Havoc has made a name for himself in NAW and he looks to expand the possibilities in BFW as well.
“You are definitely right about that. It seems that he will be debuting on the 12th edition of Brutality next week. But since BFW Redemption is right on the corner, I expect some sort of a statement to be made by Havoc on the show. Just another reason to watch Redemption. Also King, IXWA have announced on their show this Friday night on Beatdown that on June 26th at the ‘Quest for the Best 2016’ event, there will be a 20 Person over the top rope rumble match and the winner gets a shot at the Global Heavyweight Championship on July 8th if I have got that correct. And King, a lot of promotions have shown interest in this battle royal. As some of the names include Amis Shelton, Alice Harris and even Havoc. Now this is something unusual of Havoc if I am not wrong to assume King. We have not seen him compete in any promotion other than NAW. But as we see, Havoc is probably looking to replicate the success he got in NAW. What do you think King, can he sustain his momentum going into these various promotions?” Asked Doug Williams. A retired professional wrestler and a co-host of the podcast.
“Well absolutely Doug. Havoc has been a force to reckon with in the NAW. He should be considered one of the favorites to win that battle royal and certainly someone to look out for. Not to forget, NAW presents Heatwave would be live from Scranton in two days from now as we speak. I certainly can’t wait, Doug. Especially for the main event, 60 minute Iron Man Matchup for the NAW Legacy Title! Also on the card is Havoc taking on former champions Bohannon and Jason Price for the NAW Horizon Championship and Trenton defending his Hardcore title against the notorious Rocky Hollywood on what promises to be a slobberknocker. “Said King.
“Absolutely King. The wrestling business has certainly evolved in the past few years. You see new faces pop up every now and then pulling off some unexpected victories and what better way to establish yourself than to qualify to the next round of the Briefcase Of Choice Matchup . A great opportunity waits for the winner….“
Havoc is seen sitting on his rocking chair humming some tune as the podcast is being blasted out by one of his followers. As some of them collectively listen to the podcast, Havoc clears his throat signaling them to switch it off. Unlike common belief, Havoc did not tell his followers to cut themselves off from the outer world. They were free to use whatever they want. Havoc though didn’t like such stuff. He didn’t care for it either. Though he did encourage them to do chores and other charitable work over whiling away time.
Interpreting the signal, they switch off the podcast. We seem Jimmy walk up to Havoc.
“Havoc… Is this true?” Asked Jimmy.
“Truth…. I always speak the truth, child. And I am sure, nobody would simply take my name in vain without having some facts backing it. “Claimed Havoc still rocking his chair.
“What about NAW?” Wondered Jimmy.
“What about it? Are you thinking I am going to forget about NAW? The place that made me who I am. The place that brought me to life. I owe this place my presence and I will continue to do so.” Said Havoc. Jimmy satisfied by the answers goes out of the room. Havoc slowly stops rocking the chair. We see the NAW Horizon Title on his shoulder. Havoc was admiring the beauty of the title he possessed. He was thinking about his match at Heatwave. He was recalling everything his opponents had to say to him before they meet in the ring to settle it all.
“You think I don’t listen? All the things you have said about me… I have heard them all. Jason Price…. Bohannon. The time is near, when we shall be standing in opposite corners to each other facing for this title I hold close to me. This title means a lot to me. I personify what the horizon stands for. This title justifies my deeds. But then I have some people talk trash to me. Without any idea of what they are up against or my capabilities. Have you forgotten the path I took? Look at what happened to everyone in my way. Jason, you went on to provide everyone with so called facts. You say that my biggest weakness is Chris? Christopher Sabertooth? The guy I killed? The guy I got rid of completely. See I don’t think you can comprehend more than one thought at a time in your brain but let me throw some curveballs at you. Christopher Sabertooth did share the same body that I do. Yes… He lived in here. Yes, somewhere in the darkest part of his mind, I existed but this body wasn’t self-aware of my existence. I did what I had to do make my self-known. I did what was right for this body. I took over. But instead of trapping Chris in some part of my brain, I let him go. So when you say that Chris is my biggest weakness… Or that Chris will forcefully take control of my body rendering me weak again… You are just fooling your mind to believe that I have a weakness. But I don’t. And Jason, you are soon going to find that out. Heatwave will be competitive. You will hit me with your best shot. But it won’t be enough because nothing is. You can’t put me down. A knife couldn’t. What are you?
I don’t think you completely understand the idea of factual data, Jason. But it’s not surprising after all that junk you have filled in your body. You are a tool. You need to have something to back your facts and Jason. The claims you made will make Corey Bull shed a laughter. Your claim to this title is as weak as your chance to be a main eventer once again. It is hard to believe that you once held this title. But honestly, you had not have people like me facing you back then. Times have changed Jason. The fact here is that I am better than you. I am better than you ever will be. And I have certainly backed it up. I said I will walk down the ramp and overcome every single obstacle in my path to redemption and I did. I beat them all. I am undefeated Jason and it is going to stay that way. While you fizzled away being Noah’s partner, you failed to get a legitimate victory over anyone. You couldn’t keep down Alice. Heck you couldn’t even stop Bohannon. And that’s a fact. Jason, you will never win this title again. Not in my watch. And that’s a fact. Jason, what is left you is a shadow of what used to be a main eventer. And you know what happens to a shadow when darkness takes over? They disappear. And so will you. You will fade away into nothingness. You can’t beat me. No one can. You have made few things easier for me. You clarified that you don’t really have a heart. Well, that’s great then. Cause then I don’t have to save you. So Jason… Keep your eyes wide open. It is time that I end you. You will see it for yourself and there’s absolutely nothing you’d be able to do. And that’s a fact.”
Havoc stands up and leaves his room. He is seen walking down a hallway. He stands in front of a locked door. He takes out a key and opens it. The cobwebs are hanging from the door’s frame and not even a speck of light is seen inside the room. Havoc lights a candle lying on the porch. He points it to what looks like a photo album.
He carefully places the candle on the cabinet and opens the photo album. In it were photos of his childhood with his family. We see photos of teenage Chris as well during early days of college and also photos with O’Shea. He doesn’t seem to be bothered looking at his old friend’s picture. What used to kill him inside does not anymore. He continued on and we see a pic of Chris and Elisa. He takes out of the album and walks away. He goes back to his chair with the photo in his hand. He looks out carefully. It was if he was remembering things. He pulls his hair backwards as he slowly begins to rock his chair once again still maintaining the eye contact with the photo. We see a faint smile come and fade away. He begins to speak.
“Bohannon. I have said it before and I will say it again. I respect the fight in you. Not many people have the courage to go do something they know they can’t do. But you still try. You try to beat Noah Hanson and failed. But that didn’t stop you. Rather it encouraged you to do better. You got close but once again, it was taken away from you. The moral victory… But you carried on. And now you are once again trying to do something that you just can’t. You know for a fact that you can’t beat me. I mean, like Jason would have it, the facts are on my side. I beat you last week at Meltdown. But I know this won’t hinder the fire in you. You will be there at Heatwave…. Stronger than ever. But once again…. Bohannon. You will fail. But I know this is not the end for you. Like many would have it. You lost to the very bests in this business. And you gave them a fight. I certainly expect a fight from you at Heatwave. Honestly, you are a much worth of an opponent than Jason would ever be. But you don’t have it in you… You don’t have what it takes.
Last week. Elisa did come to me. She wanted her Chris back. But like fate would have it… Chris doesn’t exist any longer. But you and Jason fail to understand that. You keep talking game….. About how the Chris in me is ought to come out. Jason even went on to claim that he sent Elisa there when I pretty much know he didn’t. Why? Because I know who did send her to me. They did… They saw Elisa suffering. And they sent her to me. To save her. But it’s not that easy. Elisa will have to get rid of the past from her mind cause that will only hurt her. What she had with Christopher Sabertooth died with him. Last week… I didn’t let her go for I could get weak if she was around me. I sent her away so that she gets stronger. She has to accept the fact that Chris is gone. And what that happens. She will be by my side. Cause I do not say no to anyone. Whatever was in the past stays there. They want me to save Elisa and I will…. Eventually. It will happen only when I think she is ready. She is not ready yet. But I promised her something before she went. And I keep my promises.
Bohannon, you tried to get into my mind. You tried but you failed. Just like you always do. You are a failure, Bohannon. I am not fooling anyone. I stand by what I say. Though, it was really foolish of you to believe that I am alone in my journey. You haven’t been paying attention to what I do it’d seem. I am never alone. NEVER. They always have my back. All of them. But I guess it is time for all of us to make an impact. So at Heatwave, it will all begin. Our path… Together to reach the top and doing whatever we can for anyone in our path. I have needed help from anyone to settle the score in the ring. And this gave all of you the wrong idea. You thought all my people were too scared to get into that ring. You thought I am all alone in my in NAW. But you couldn’t have been any further than the truth. You see my people and I have been saving other people on our journey. I always aid I will save anyone who is troubled. I will save anyone who needs my help. And I keep my promises. So never ever think that I don’t have people to support me. They have my back. And Heatwave, I will prove it to everyone.
Bohannon, the only reason I talk about the Legacy title is because I know I am winning this fight. But you are not my last stop. Unlike you, I know what I am going to do next. And it doesn’t matter how much you fight or how long you fight… The victor will still be the same. I am Havoc. The truth bearer. The Savior. And it all comes down to what happens at Heatwave.
There is a new journey about to begin. A new destination. Everything will change as you know it. But there is one thing that will always be constant. Victory. My victory. And my reign. I will be the change this world needs. Elisa is gone for now. But she will be back to where she belongs. Time will heal her wounds. She came to me. She will again. But the next time. She will be ready. “Said Havoc. He takes the photo and brings it closer to the candle in the room. It catches fire. Havoc holds on to the picture and watches it burn. A clear smile can be seen on his face. He throws the photo onto the floor as it continues to burn away.
“The change begins now. Jason Price… Bohannon. You are lucky to witness it first-hand. Noah Hanson. Alice Harris. You are caught up in your own fight. Your own little battle. You will never see it coming… And remember. The truth always hurts. Whoever comes out of Heatwave as the champion might have won the battle, but the war is yet to come. Be ready. You Will Never Walk Alone.”
THE DAY THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING IS HERE. BE READY....
