[The camera opens at an LCTA station late at night. It is completely abandoned. The only sound you can hear, aside from the distant sounds of traffic, is the scratchy muzak system.]
Don't know what you got till it's gone
Don't know what it is I did so wrong
Now I know what I got
It's just this song
And it ain't easy to get back
Takes so long
[Ah, the sounds of a Cinderella power ballad. Speaks to you, doesn't it?]
I can't feel the things that cause you pain
I can't clear my heart of your love
It falls like rain, ain't the same
I hear you calling far away
Tearing through my soul I just can't
Take another day, Who's to blame
[The rest of the song is drown out by an approaching bus. As it squeals to a stop, the doors open and out steps Bohannon. His dufflebag slung over his shoulder, he is the only person who exits the bus. He walks away from the station as he begins to speak.]
Bohannon: “Havoc, I truly wish this was a one on one fight. I'm skeptical that it will even remain a straight 3way dance. I respect the wrestler you are. I respect the man you are.”
[Bohannon nods as a show of his respect for the Horizon Champion.]
Bohannon: “You have me all wrong, Havoc. I wasn't trying to get in your head. There are roads I could have gone down to do that. I chose not to, because like I said, I respect you. I said what I said because I have a unique perspective. Ultimately, though, it's not my business, so I won't revisit the issue. I will stick to the issue at hand. That is the Horizon Championship.”
[Bohannon turns the corner, and the area seems to get even seedier, if that's even possible. Yet Bohannon walks with an ease of a man completely comfortable in his skin.]
Bohannon: “You talk about me not paying close enough attention. Perhaps you are right. I was very focused on the feud with Noah Hanson. Have you paid close enough attention to my history? Perhaps Jason can fill you in. When I got here, Jason was my Noah Hanson. He beat me at every turn. Nothing I could do was good enough. Week after week I would come so close, only to be denied. The day came when I finally beat him. Since then, I've had Jason's number. He has scored a victory or two in tag team action, but only when he had a partner carry his sorry ass. The last time we met one on one? It was for the Horizon Championship. I beat him clean.”
[Bohannon holds his fingers up...1...2...3]
Bohannon: “That's what I do Havoc. I keep coming. I keep working. People give me backhand compliments all the time, but that doesn't bother me. I know who I am...and I know what I am. I don't have to pretend to be something I'm not. At Heatwave, you might beat me Havoc. You know what that means? You're going to have to beat me again. And again. You'll have to beat me until I can't fight anymore, because I won't give up. I want my title back.”
[Bohannon stops suddenly. He looks directly into the camera.]
Bohannon: “You can be the truth bearer. You can be the Savior. I don't claim to be any of those things. I'm a wrestler. It's what I do...it's who I am.”
[Bohannon reaches into his pocket and pulls out a piece of paper. It's about the size of a photo, but half of the photo is missing, and the remaining edge is charred.]
Bohannon: “Havoc, let me pose one final question...I feel like I would be failing you if I didn't. You say she'll come back. Will she?”
[Bohannon drops the picture to the ground and walks away. The camera slowly zooms in on the picture. As it comes into focus, the becomes clear that it was the same picture Havoc had lit the night before. Elisa's image was gone...only the image of Chris remained.]
