[Backstage after Meltdown, things are winding down. Another tremendous show that had the crowd rocking all night. The boys are starting to pack up their gear. Quietly, Bohannon enters the locker-room. He looks uncomfortable, almost like an outsider. He scans the room. As he does, a voice calls his name.]
“Bohannon.”
[Bohannon looks for the source, and a slight smile crosses his face. He makes his way over to none other than Jason Price…the man who put him out of action for the second time in a little over a year. Bohannon makes his way over to Price. The two men shake hands, and have a brief conversation, the content of which the camera can’t pick up. Bohannon walks away, and his parting words leave a smirk on Jason Price’s face.]
[As Bohannon walks away, he looks more like himself. He makes his way over to Tim Stone, his Mid South Syndicate partner.]
Tim: “Bout time you got your ass back here.”
Bohannon: “Yeah, rehabbing gets harder each time.”
Tim: “Rehabbing? That’s what you call laying on your ass while those cute nurses took care of you? Right…”
[Bohannon laughs.]
Bohannon: “I gotta say, those Pittsburgh nurses are pretty fine. But, I knew I had to get back here. I couldn’t let you have all the fun with Luke Savage and guys like that.”
Tim: “What the hell was that all about, anyway?”
Bohannon: “Well, before things got rolling with the MSS, he was one of the guys I had approached. He said ‘no’ of course. He was too busy drinking and banging the neighbor’s dog. I think he lack of career direction finally sobered him up to the fact that he’s at exactly the same place in his career as he was a year ago. He got pissed and took it out on you.”
Tim: “You’re career hasn’t exactly been in the fast lane lately. You’ve gone from a shot at the Legacy title to fighting Luke Savage.”
Bohannon: “What can I say? At least my career isn’t stagnant. Honestly, I feel better than I have in a long time.”
Tim: “So, I’m assuming you are cleared to wrestle?”
[Bohannon laughs again.]
Bohannon: “Well….it’s funny you should ask. I actually just got back from the principal’s office. Alex Morgan was super-pissed that I was in an NAW ring without being cleared by the NAW physician. I can see his point. I was cleared by my doctor at UPMC, so it will just be a formality. But Alex read me the riot act about ‘liability’ and ‘personal responsibility’. I understand what he was saying, but it was one of those heat of the moment things. He let me off with a slap on the wrist.”
Tim: “AND a match with Crimson next week.”
Bohannon: “Seriously, what is with all of the 7 footers around here all of a sudden?”
Tim: “Man, it’s like an NBA locker-room all of a sudden.”
Bohannon: “Crimson looks like he can go. At least he’s not one of those 7 footers who can barely move.”
Tim: “Yeah, he’s a hell of an athlete.”
Bohannon: “That’s an understatement. I saw the show he put on out there. Should be a good test. Damn it’s good to be back.”
Tim: “Yeah, he’ll test that head of yours if he drops you on it from way up there.”
Bohannon: “Do I detect some skepticism in your voice?”
Tim: “No, but I’d prefer that MSS doesn’t stand for Mid South Survivor…”
[Bohannon really cracks up over that one…he stops mid-laugh. He spies someone across the locker-room.]
Bohannon: “Hey, I gotta go. I’ll catch up with you in a few.”
Tim: “Sure, no problem.”
[Bohannon walks over to Noah Hanson.]
Bohannon: “Noah, you got a minute.”
[The camera fades as Bohannon begins to talk to Noah Hanson…]
