Sabastian Jankowski vs Jimmy Ferguson
This match was entertaining for only being about five minutes long. Both of these guys did a pretty great job of displaying their athleticism and skill set. After a very nice display of highflying ability and all the agility in the world though, a botched Corkscrew Moonsault on Jankowski's part made this match end in a no contest, as neither man could continue to wrestle.
Welcome to my transcription of WBSW Live! This is our last show of 2012, and our card looks pretty stacked tonight everyone! Malcolm Gould here to bring you Live!
More Announcements?
Alex Morgan is seen again in the middle of the ring, awaiting the fans to get quiet. The crowd is pretty pumped to be here tonight, as for the first time in our history, we have seated 5,000 people! I don't have the official count yet, but it's somewhere near it. That means that soon we will be selling tickets to fill the venue, and 2013 WILL be the year of WBSW! Morgan is handed a microphone as the crowd goes quiet.
Morgan
Welcome to our 13th edition of WBSW Live! We are at the event entitled "Holiday Fear" which is our Christmas special of sorts. We've got several fun matches for you, and we hope that you enjoy the show tonight!
The crowd is ecstatic. I love the sound of these guys being happy to see us. Makes us feel...well...loved! Morgan is still not done talking yet though.
Morgan
But I'm not here to talk about tonight. I'm here to talk about our future as a company. You see, we haven't experienced a huge growth as of late, but I'm hoping to change that. Because I'm here to announce our first major event. I'm calling this event the Keystone Open!
Another crowd pop. What is the Keystone Open though?
Morgan
But that is all I can tell you for now. I will be revealing more information tomorrow morning at a press conference in Scranton, but for now, please do enjoy the show.
And with that, and no explanation about a damn thing, that bastard is leaving the ring. This is why we hate you, buddy! Ah, who am I kidding? The man has some great ideas.
Luca Flores vs Dick McSexton
As we hear the tunes of the Eagles of Death Metal, we see Dick McSexton, and his trusty manager, Dirty Dancin' Dave on the ramp. They get some heat as they come down the ramp and we hear Dick yell "You all need to shut up, I'm FUCK-TASTIC!"
Just as McSexton slides into the ring, everybody brings their attention back to the stage as an instrumental version of Bullet for my Valentine's "Ashes of the Innocent" hits the system. Pretty nice crowd ovation as Luca Flores appears onstage. He holds an arm up and runs down the ramp, sliding it, running to a turnbuckle and landing a great backflip, then he stares over at McSexton.
Mark Lansing holds up a giant gift box, so the whole crowd can see it. Remember, since this isn't for a championship, that gift box is what signifies the win. He hooks it and the suspension system brings the gift box twenty feet into the air. He looks at both men and nods, then calls for the bell.
Luca wastes no time and runs at McSexton, hitting him hard with a Diving Shoulder Block. They both hop right back up and Luca drops down and sweeps McSexton's leg right out from under him. He jumps up onto the turnbuckle and drops off with a Springboarding splash, but facing away. Pretty dominant display early on by Flores here!
He slides out of the ring and McSexton comes out not too long after. Since this is a Ladder Match, there is no count out. Luca goes for a few kicks at McSexton, who keeps stepping back and getting out of the way, with one swift punch, McSexton sends Luca back a few steps. They lock up, and McSexton ducks under Luca's arm and wraps around, like he's going for a German Suplex, but Luca elbows him in the head, forcing him to let go. Luca goes for a huge punch, but McSexton ducks it, and slides into the ring. Luca slides in after, and McSexton goes for a few stomps, but after about three, Luca is finally able to get to his feet.
They circle the ring again, and lock up again, but this time, Luca whips McSexton into the ropes, and as McSexton runs back, Luca jumps high in the air and sends McSexton to the mat with a Headscissors Takedown. He picks McSexton up and throws an uppercut, then tosses McSexton over the top rope to the outside!
Luca slides outside and grabs a ladder, pushing it into the ring and sliding back in. Before he can get back to his feet, McSexton tugs on his leg and he goes face first into the floor. McSexton slides into the ring and slowly starts to climb, but he gets about halfway before Luca can get in, and he pushes the ladder over!
McSexton doesn't fall too far, so it only takes a few seconds for him to get up. The two men throw repeated alternating right hands at each other for a little, and McSexton knees Luca in the midsection, then in the face, knocking him off of his feet and onto his back. McSexton climbs the top rope and dives off, landing a Diving Elbow Drop, with a huge impact. While Luca is down, McSexton sets the ladder up in the opposite corner. He picks Luca up by the hair, and Luca shoves him back. He whips McSexton into the ladder, and then runs, hitting a Dropkick that puts McSexton on the mat, and the ladder falls on top of him!
Luca sets the ladder up and climbs rung by rung. McSexton slowly follows, and before Luca can try to get the present, McSexton is to the top. They alternate punches with one another until Luca grabs McSexton by the hair and jumps off the ladder with a Bulldog, and the ladder tips over, and both men go out onto the floor outside! Oh my God! That was twenty feet in the ring, plus the drop to the outside, to almost a 30 foot fall!
They are both flat and lifeless for about a minute before Luca rolls over and gets up onto his knees. McSexton is quick to follow though, as he grabs Luca from behind, spinning him around and whipping him right onto the guardrail. He runs and jumps, sending a knee right into Luca's face, as they both hit the floor again. He picks Luca up and holds a front face lock for a few seconds, taunting some fans in the front row. He goes to lift Luca, but Luca shifts his weight to keep himself grounded, then lifts McSexton and drops him, his spine just about snapping over that steel guardrail!
McSexton doesn't fall all the way, and his legs get caught up in the railing, and Luca kicks him in the chest a couple times, before climbing up onto the apron. Just as we think he's going to go to the inside to get the gift, he jumps to the outside again, attempting a huge Dropkick, but McSexton pulls himself out of the way, and Luca totally whiffs it! Both men crawl very slowly to the ring, and slide inside, but still lay motionless on the mat. This match is taking a huge toll on both of them.
Luca gets up very slowly, leaning on the turnbuckle for a few seconds. He picks the ladder up and sets it up, just underneath the gift. He climbs to the top, with all of his might going out of him because of it. When he looks down, he sees McSexton getting up, and he dives off, hitting him with a Diving Crossbody, and leaving them on the mat again!
Luca slowly pulls to his feet and climbs up the ladder, and McSexton is almost to his feet before Los Conquistadores come out with baseball bats! They just start beating the hell out of McSexton, and they are absolutely ruthless about it! Luca grabs the gift box, not even realizing what's going on. The bell rings, and Luca has won the match!
As soon as Luca sees the beatdown that's occurring just below him, he dives off the ladder and takes down the two Mexican wrestlers! Toro drops his bat, which Luca picks up and swings at the two, who hurry out of the arena and up the ramp! The medical crew comes out, and the damage is done. Looks like McSexton is hurt pretty bad. They get him on a stretcher as we cut to the back.
A Surprise For Jimmy
The scene opens backstage in one of the locker rooms. Lance and Hank, of The Vice Squad, are in the middle of changing from their flash 80s suits into their wrestling gear. Jimmy The Rookie is sat down on a sofa eating a packet of Cheetos.
Jimmy: Hey guys, why did you make it a Christmas Dinner Match anyway?
Hank: Because... because it's Christmas...
Lance: It’s the festive episode of WBSW Live, so you know, inspired by the festive season, that's what we came up with...
Hank: And besides.. If the Black Circle Boys wanna play rough we thought we would beat them at their own game.
Jimmy: What makes you think they won't win?
Hank and Lance stop and turn to look at Jimmy with a hard stare.
Lance: Jimmy... We are the best cops in the world... We are the best tag team in WBSW and probably the world... of course we will win...
Hank: Yeah, we have come too far in our lives to lose out to a couple of muddy funksters... They won't be going home the winners this time...
Jimmy: Guys.. I really want to thank you for letting me be involved in the match...
Lance: Don't sweat it...
Jimmy: I mean it guys... You know, when I was younger I always wanted to be a wrestler...
Lance and Hank look at each and roll their eyes...
Jimmy: And when I was younger, messing about with my brothers in the backyard, they hardly ever let me get involved... And when they did let me get involved I was always the punch bag or the referee or the... the valet...
Lance and Hank try hard not to burst out laughing and look sympathetic.
Jimmy: So...This really means a lot to me...
Hank: Ok, ok, no need to get all chick flick on us..
Jimmy: Sorry...
Lance: Oh, hey, we got you a costume to wear for the match, I'll just go get it...
Jimmy: Oh, wow...thanks guys...
Lance reaches into one of his bags and pulls out a clear plastic bag. Inside the bag is a Santa’s Elf costume. A full Elf costume, complete with stripy socks, a green hat and boots with bells on. Jimmy turns around and nearly throws his bag of cheetos in the air at the sight of it.
Jimmy: What is that!?!
Lance: This is your costume...
Hank: It's an Elf's costume... It ties in with the Christmas theme, come on, work with us here Jimmy.
Jimmy: Why can't I wear a cool suit like you guys?
Hank: Because you're still a rookie... When you become real cops like us, you can wear suits like this...
Jimmy: But I'll look stupid...
Lance: Nonsense...
Hank: If you wanna be in the match, you gotta wear this... Besides, it is Christmas and the ladies love guys with a big Christmas spirit...
Jimmy: Really?
Lance: Sure... Why do you think we only see Santa once a year...
Hank: Yeah, that's why he has his list, so he can take all the naughty ladies back with him and show them his North Pole..
Jimmy: Well... ok... Besides, those boots look kinda cool...
He grabs the costume, examining it as we cut.
The V-List vs Los Conquistadores
The two small screens on either side of the stage are showing video footage of the outside area, in the parking lot. In the lot, taking up several parking spaces, is one hell of a snow area.
There are two walls set up, one on either side of a giant snow bank. The cameras go around and show us a spot for each team to stockpile snowballs, as well as several spots to take cover.
We finally see Eddie Higgins outside, wearing a very heavy winter coat, gloves, and earmuffs. I've noticed several fans who have made their way to the outside to see this in person. We did accommodate for fans, so there is seating, as well as a small area of guardrails to keep them separated.
There is also a small sound system outside, as we see Los Conquistadores(in their wrestling gear) already at their base on the fort. Fraggle and Dante(The V-List), make their way as their music plays. Dante high fives a couple fans, and they make their way to their base. Both teams ready themselves, and Higgins yells to begin.
This battle starts out incredibly boring, because both teams seem to have a common strategy. Make as many snowballs as they possibly can before they attack. After about five straight minutes of this, the V-List cast the first snow(sorry for the terrible pun, not even slightly funny), and start throwing away! Toro ducks for cover, than throws back. An interesting strategy, with Toro, the power man, throwing, and Loco, their speed guy, packing more snowballs. After some lame misses, both teams get their groove, and we get some interesting hits. Fraggle throws one and hits Toro square in the face.
After regaining his composure, Toro throws a few wicked snowballs at the V-List, and they got some real heat on them, but both men ducked behind their respective walls, and the snowballs totally missed. After some more nothingness, Loco looks at Toro, and comes around the side of their wall. Very bravely, he sneaks around and hops over the V-List wall! He hits each of them in the face with snowballs before diving over again, and an all out war has commenced as they hit him, point blank, with snowball after snowball! He tries covering himself up, but it's useless, as they're literally right over top of him, hitting him repeatedly. Toro throws some at them, but they're focused on Loco.
Finally, seemingly from out of nowhere, Toro pulls a silk harness type thing and wraps it around himself. We realize several seconds later that this harness has a pouch in it, in which he fits like 20 snowballs(no joke)! He flips over the first wall and charges, diving over the second wall backward, and like a BOSS, hits both Fraggle and Dante in the face with snowballs. After he runs out, it turns into an all out snowball brawl.
Fraggle takes two snowballs and pancakes either side of Loco's face with them, and then he goes for a pin as Loco goes down! He only gets a two count out of it, and Fraggle starts throwing some wild punches. Higgins tells him to back off of Loco after a few seconds though, and Fraggle complies. By this time, Sideshow(Dante) and Toro are in a total stalemate, hiding on opposite ends of the snow.
The V-List start hitting Loco with snowballs again as Toro jumps out from behind, physically attacking Sideshow, who ducks out of the way of an Enziguiri and hits Toro with one of his own. The V-List double team Toro now, and Loco tries to help him but Fraggle grabs Loco by the mask and throws him head first into a huge snow bank.
Loco is legitimately stuck in the snow as the V-List take advantage of the opportunity! Fraggle modifies his Fraggle Rock Drop and lands Toro face first into the snow, then Sideshow hops onto a snow wall, landing a Moonsault and covering! .....1 .....2 .....3!
The V-List pick up the quick victory as their music plays on the little stereo and the fans cheer them as everyone slowly heads back in to the arena, and we cut to the ring.
Vice Squad vs Black Circle Boys
The crowd is incredibly loud and it only gets more so after the Miami Vice theme song plays. After several seconds, the Vice Squad finally appears on the stage. Hank Sharpe jumps up and down on the stage a few times before the two take to the ring. Alongside them, surely enough, is Jimmy the Rookie, dressed in the elf costume from earlier. He only looks slightly embarrassed as they go to the ring. They slide in and pose on the turnbuckles for a few seconds, Lance Carter looking over to ringside and seeing a table, on the table is a whole Christmas dinner, and there are people in chef outfits still taking dishes off of a cart.
I see some delicious stuff on there, there's a ham, mashed potatoes, I see some macaroni and cheese there, too! It's a crying shame that people are gonna be put through that and all that food is going to waste.
Just as the two of them finish eyeing up the table that they are focusing on crashing a man through, we hear "Hate Me!" By Chrildren of Bodom. This time we see the Black Circle Boys, and with the exception of the "goth" kids sitting behind me, we hear a chorus of boos and hatred for this team. Lark Fenriz is an absolute bean pole, standing at almost seven feet, but not even cracking two hundred pounds. Shawn Ryder, on the other hand looks more normal, but appears to lack confidence.
As these two get to the ring, Lark looks at the table to the side, then at the Vice Squad, smiling and winking. Mark Lansing, this matches official, calls for the bell, and the match goes off to a quick start. Ryder wastes no time tossing Carter to the ground and laying into him with punches to the head, while Sharpe and Fenriz clown around on the other side of the ring with some sweet ninja moves.
Ryder picks Carter up and leans him in a corner, and lays a few backhanded chops on his chest, until Carter eventually grabs the arm and locks in a Cross Armbreaker, which Fenriz immediately bails Ryder out from. When Fenriz turns back to Sharpe though, he is met with a Missile Dropkick! Sharpe grabs Fenriz by the back of his neck and goes to throw him out of the ring, but Lark stops it, and winds up tossing Sharpe out. Sharpe hits the apron, but goes no further, and when Fenriz bends forward to grab him, he is kicked in the temple. Sharpe proceeds to hit Fenriz with a Springboard Crossbody, and immediately throws him to the outside, and Fenriz rolls onto the stage.
Ryder hits an unsuspecting Sharpe in the back while Carter is on his back after a vicious German Suplex, and he proceeds to beat on Sharpe's back until he goes down to his knees. He then hits Sharpe in the face with a knee, putting him on his back as well. When he looks to the ramp, Fenriz gives him an approving nod and smile.
Ryder lays another huge chop onto the back of Sharpe before easily tossing him out of the ring. He turns around and is hit by Carter with a Clothesline that just absolutely lays him out. Carter runs to the ropes and comes back with an elbow drop, then picks Ryder up. Ryder pushes Carter back a few steps, and when he is finally standing tall, Carter runs and hits him with a Clothesline, and immediately lands an Elbow Drop onto him! Carter is in the midst of a few stomps to Ryder and Lark rolls Sharpe into the ring. Sharpe gets to his feet and assists his partner, and they pick Ryder up, and throw him out of the ring, just before the table.
Ryder slowly picks himself up and is hit by Sharpe with a huge Diving Crossbody. Carter and Sharpe pick him up, and they lift him in a team Powerbomb fashion, but Lark breaks it up before they can put Ryder through the table! He strikes Carter on the back a couple of times, and Sharpe hits his head off the table.
Lark and Carter take their battle back into the ring while Ryder and Sharpe lay on the outside, both of them not quite knocked out, but in quite a bit of pain. Fenriz throws a few punches to Carter, who returns them. Finally Lark hits Carter with a huge punch, and whips him to the ropes. Carter comes running back and Fenriz lifts him up and drops him with a Samoan Drop. He then picks Sharpe right back up and slams him to the mat with a very vicious Powerbomb!
Ryder is back to his feet, while Sharpe begins to stir a bit, and Ryder slides into the ring. This cues Fenriz to roll out of the ring and look on as Ryder grabs Carter by the hair and pounds right into his spine, sending him back down to the mat. I'm seeing Sharpe get up from under the "dinner" table, as he sees the beating that Ryder is laying down on Carter. Strangely, I see him go under the ring and apparently nobody noticed this.
Fenriz rolls into the ring and the two men alternate strikes on Carter. First Fenriz gives him a good whack, then Ryder, then Fenriz again. This goes on until Fenriz kicks Carter with a Dropkick, and Carter subsequently hits the mat, then proceeds to(very smartly) roll out of the ring. As Carter lays motionless on the floor outside, Lark and Ryder appear to be discussing gameplan. About 5-10 seconds after they start, Lark points to the table. Ryder nods, knowing what has to be done.
He rolls out of the ring and grabs Carter by the hair, moving him over to where the table is. He punches him in the face once more for good measure, amongst a LOT of boos from our audience. Ryder tells the fans to "shut up" and the like, a big no-no here in Wilkes Barre. He lifts Carter to his feet, and knees him. As Carter doubles over, he puts his head between his legs, and just before he can lift Carter in Powerbomb position, he is hit in the back with a hockey stick by Sharpe, who just reappeared!
He hits Ryder a few more times, and Carter is able to get himself freed from the attempt at putting him through the table. And I think... OH MY GOD... John Tucker is in the front row, and he's eating a huge piece of ham. That's awesome. And that's the first fan we've seen getting involved here. Carter kicks Ryder in the ribs a few times, then Sharpe proceeds to slam his head to the table, holding him in a bowl of gravy for a number of seconds, before finally tossing him down onto the floor.
Ryder lays on the floor, face full of gravy as Lark comes over and Hank trips him up. He drops Lark with a DDT, and looks at Carter. Lance picks Lark up and lifts him, dropping him hard to the floor, then he lifts Ryder in Electric Chair position. Hank comes diving off the top rope, hitting Ryder hard with a Clothesline and Ryder tumbles right through the table, the dinner on the table spilling all over him!
The Vice Squad guys both get to their feet, and Ryder sits up, a mixture of shock and shame taking over his face as he is reprimanded by Lark. Lark grabs another table from under the ring and throws it at Ryder. Ryder sets it up, and Lark quickly grabs Jimmy and forces him to the ground. The Vice Squad come to the rescue to attack Lark, but Ryder tosses Hank with ease, head first into the guard rail as Lark throws Carter into the ring post! They pick Jimmy up and Powerbomb him right through the second table, looking down at their handiwork. These two men sicken me to no end. The medical crew is seen for the second time tonight as they check on little Jimmy while security comes down to prevent any more damage from being done.
Steven Gold vs Gunner Hughes(c)
The crowd awaits our highly anticipated and advertised main event as Eddie Higgins finishes his route to the ring, climbing up the stairs and standing in the center, alongside our very own Barry Lincoln. As the two men stand in the ring for a couple seconds, we hear "Breaking the Habit" by Lincoln Park hit the system, and almost immediately, we are treated with a chorus of boos from the audience. After several seconds, we see Steven Gold on the stage, and he looks ready to go. He stands on the stage, eyeing up the fans as he very slowly makes his way to the top of the ramp. He stands for a few seconds, and lifts his OWA InterGlobal Championship high in the air, making the crowd even louder, and it's odd that this is possible. It's almost as though he likes it though, as he makes his way to the ring with a huge smirk on his face.
He slides into the ring and hands the InterGlobal title belt to Higgins, who just hands it off to a guy sitting at my table. Gold almost looks offended by the fact that Higgins didn't give his belt the "Ultimate Respect" treatment, but he's been told, unless Morgan accepts the offer, his belt has no value here. Before a whole lot of preparation can be done though, we hear a loud gunshot blast throughout the arena, as the booing crowd suddenly goes totally quiet. After a couple seconds, "Dead Man Walking" plays on the system.
Gunner Hughes appears on stage, and he doesn't show any signs of a smirk or grin at all. He locks eyes with Gold right away, and the two have the biggest staring contest of all time. Gunner holds his WBSW Championship high in the air, garnering a huge ovation. He makes his way to the ring slowly, and also rolls into the ring. He hands Higgins the belt, who takes it gingerly, holding it high in the air. He hands it off like he did the first one as Lincoln grabs a microphone.
Lincoln
Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is tonight's main event and is for the WBSW Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, from Seattle, Washington.....Steven Gold!
Boos from the fans.
Lincoln
And his opponent, from Portland, Oregon....he is the WBSW champion...Gunner Hughes!
Huge crowd pop. Gunner reaches out with one last show of sportsmanship, to shake Gold's hand. gold stares at the outstretched arm and goes to his corner.
The bell rings and the two men begin to circle the ring. After what feels like minutes, but is only a couple seconds in reality, they lock up. This ends in a total stalemate, and they both back up to give themselves some space.
They lock up again, and Gold locks Gunner into an Armbar, which after a few seconds of struggling, he gets out of and sends Gold to the mat with a Hip Toss. Gold is right back to his feet and Gunner tosses him with another Hip Toss. Gold is more slow to get up this time, but he ducks a Clothesline and as Gunner turns around, he meets a boot to the chest. Gold gets a few stomps in before Gunner bursts to his feet, and they lock up again. This time Gunner whips Gold to the ropes, and Gold is met with a huge diving shoulder block.
As they get up, they go straight to brawling, sharing punches back and forth. Gold whips Gunner into the ropes and hits him with a Big Boot. Gunner gets right back up and the two circle around again, meeting in the center of the ring and locking up. Gunner pushes Gold into the turnbuckle, and lays into him with rapid punches. Gold eventually gets an arm up to block Gunner, and throws Gunner's fist to the side, kicking him in the ribs.
After taking this upper hand, Gold whips Gunner into the ropes, hitting him with a Diving Clothesline, and the guys scramble to their feet. Gunner picks Gold up and throws him to the mat with a Powerslam, but Gold immediately kicks him in the face before he can stand straight again. As Gold gets to his feet, Gunner whips him to the ropes and as Gold comes back, he is tossed to the side of the ring as Gunner straightens from a bend and sends him back behind him! Gunner covers, .....1 ..and a quick Kickout by Gold right there.
As Gold gets to his knees, Gunner grabs both his hands from behind him and digs a knee right into Gold's spine. Gold screams in pain as Higgins checks to see if Gold wants to submit. Gold furiously shakes his head and forces Gunner to let up a bit as he gets to his feet. Gunner leans his head forward, and in a very creative display, he puts his head to Gold's spine so the back of it touches Gold, and uses it to pick Gold up, and slam him face first into the mat as Gunner drops to his back! This could be a quick match if it keeps going like this! Gunner goes for the cover with a hook of Gold's leg! .....1 .....2 ..Kickout by Gold!
Gunner gets up and signals for the Buckshot, but Gold rolls away from where it would be and throws Gunner off just the slightest little bit. Love him or hate him, he knows how to wrestle. Gold gets up and Gunner runs at him, but Gold hits a Dropkick after some quick thinking.
Gold takes the advantage now as he stomps on Gunner's chest now. He takes a knee and digs it into Gunner's throat for a few seconds, the goes for a cover, but doesn't even get a full one count before Gunner has a shoulder in the air. He punches Gunner in the head a couple times and covers again, still not quite getting the full one!
He pulls Gunner to his feet and lands a Snap Suplex, getting to his feet and landing an Elbow Drop. He gets behind Gunner and as Gunner gets up, Gold connects with a German Suplex. After a series of Suplexes like this, Gold hits a Northern Lights Suplex, and bridges it to try another pin attempt. .....1 .Kickout almost immediately after Higgins' hand hits the mat. In frustration, Gold picks Gunner up and throws him over the top rope to the outside!
After sliding to the outside and grabbing Gunner by the hair, Gunner shoves him back. Gold comes right back and rapidly starts beating the hell out of the WBSW Champion. They fight their way over to our side of the ring, and Gunner slams Gold's head off of the commentary table! Gold gets right back in the game though, shoving Gunner head first into the ring post!
Gunner goes down like a bag of hot rocks, and Gold goes for the cover. .....1 ....Gunner kicks out! Gold pulls him up to his feet and rolls him into the ring. Gold slides in, and is met with some more hard right hands by Gunner. Gunner throws Gold to the outside, this time on the side toward the ramp. He slides out and picks Gold up, and he drags him up the ramp, throwing him into guardrails the whole way up. The two actually get into another brawl at the top, ending with Gold actually slamming Gunner's spine into the stage. He covers again, .....1 .....2 ..Kickout!
Gunner is flat now, and Gold picks him up and locks in a front face lock. He very arrogantly holds an arm out and shouts some bogusness about being the greatest or something, and just as he goes for a DDT which could just kill Gunner's face, Gunner instead lifts him and throws him behind him, going right off the stage onto the concrete floor! Gunner looks down at the body of Steven Gold, and dives off with a huge Elbow Drop! He covers Gold for the first time this evening! .....1 .....2 ....Gold gets a shoulder in the air just in time! Gunner gets up and pounds on the stage, looking around for something. He grabs a lead pipe, and swigs for the fences at a doubled over Steven Gold, smacking him hard in the side of the face, and flattening him again. He covers yet again, .....1 .....2 ....STILL ANOTHER KICKOUT! Man of Steel!
Gunner looks sternly at Higgins, who assures him of the two, and nods. He picks Gold up and throws him right into the side of the stage! He drags him over and Gold kicks him back. Gold gets to his feet slowly, and Gunner goes for a Running Big Boot, but Gold ducks out of the way. When the two men face each other, Gold gets the upper hand and takes out Gunner at the knee. He picks Gunner up and tosses him into the soundboard! He picks Gunner up and slams his head into it a few times, and then plants him face first into the concrete with a huge DDT!
Both men lie on the floor for a few seconds, and Gunner is seen sporting the oh so infamous crimson mask from those shots to the soundboard. Gold covers, .....1 .....2 ...KICKOUT! What kind of a man can take that sort of faceplant, and still kick out of a pin?!
They both slowly crawl to their feet and Gold keeps going after the knee of Gunner. He kicks him to his back and rolls him over, picking up Gunner's right leg and slamming it down onto the concrete floor. He takes his time now as Gunner rolls around in pain, and grabs a table that just happens to be right there(somehow), and moves it to where Gunner is at. He picks Gunner up and lands a few more right hands on him, and Gunner spins a 180, landing on his stomach. Being one hell of a fighter, he gets to his feet and Gold grabs him to go for a Back Drop through the table, but Gunner hits him with some elbows and breaks it up.
He turns around and sets Gold up, lifting him for a Vertical Suplex, but drops him forward, right through the table! It looks like both men are about drained, but they keep fighting on, as they get to their feet and Gunner is thrown into a wall, then dragged out the door way and into the outside hall. The screens now project the two men fighting in the outer corridor of the arena.
We see them battle it out outside of the restrooms, and Gunner is thrown right into a wall again! Gold covers, .....1 .....2 ....And Gunner kicks out just in time to keep the dream alive!
This match means a lot to both of these men. Not only is it for the WBSW Championship, but Gunner Hughes is still undefeated in WBSW! Gunner rolls onto his front and picks himself up, as Gold gets up and leans over a concession stand counter. Gunner gets up and charges, sending them both over the counter with a diving shoulder block! The two men brawl now in the concession stand as the employees back off and let them do their thing. Gunner smashes Gold's head into the counter a few times before tossing him over it, totally unbolting a cash register and sending money all over the place! Gunner climbs over the counter and covers Gold, .....1 .....2 .....TH-- But Gold gets a Kickout in time to save the match!
Gunner looks up at Higgins who shakes his head, and he gets back to his feet. A few stands make a semi-circle around the men who both crawl to their feet and keep sending each other to a knee with punches. This time Gold takes a doubled over Gunner and sends him through one of the entrance baffle gates(turnstile), and Gunner gets all caught up in it. Gold grabs him and pulls him back, then the two punch at each other until Gunner falls backward over it, landing on the floor to the entrance harshly. Gold climbs over the thing himself, and he picks Gunner up. He brings him along, and throws him into the glass door, I don't think it cracked it or anything though. Nice work building crew.
They eventually bring themselves to the outside, and Gunner runs and tackles Gold off of the curb and out into the parking lot. Both men lie flat in the parking lot for quite a while before one shows signs of movement. Gunner crawls over and covers Gold again, .....1 .....2 .....THRE-- But Gold kicks out! There's no way that that was a Kickout!
Gunner looks shocked and very angry now. He picks up Gold and pounds on his face a few more times before whipping him into a car. Gold hits the ground and we see a HUGE dent in the side of that car. He picks Gold up and brings him back over toward the building, but both men stumble on the curb and fall to the ground. Gold grabs Gunner's leg and locks in sort of a lying down Ankle Lock. He uses all the strength he possibly can, but eventually gives it up as Gunner, though in intense pain at the hold, just won't tap.
Gunner leans on a glass window that looks inside the same hall they were just in, and Gold slowly gets up a few feet away, but Gunner is too stunned to see. Gold goes for his Kickoff, but Gunner falls out of the way and Gold goes right through the glass to the inside! He just busted through the glass!
Both men are flat for like thirty seconds before Gunner gets up. He climbs through the busted window and picks Gold up as he pulls him back to the arena. They go through an archway into the main venue again, and the crowd goes absolutely wild to see them back here. They go down a set of stairs, Gold being forced to step down the stairs right through the audience backwards, as he tries to fight Gunner off. Gunner lays a huge right into the face of Gold, and both men trip and fall down the rest of the stairs to the bottom of this deck! The adrenaline is strong enough though that they get right back up and Gunner throws Gold over the guardrail and they are right back at ringside!
Gunner climbs over the guardrail and gets his leg caught, giving Gold a chance to get to his feet. Gold runs over and Clotheslines Gunner back into the audience! He quickly goes for a cover! .....1 .....2 .....Thre--OH MY GOD HOW DO YOU DEFEAT GUNNER HUGHES?
Gunner with a kickout, literally just before Higgins got to count the three! Gold is absolutely stunned, as is the rest of the fan base watching this match. I've never heard 5,000 people get this loud before in my entire life, but they sure do have this place electric tonight. Every single fan got their money's worth paying to see this match, absolutely. Steven Gold doesn't even know what else to do, as he goes over and lifts Gunner to his feet. Gunner with a quick rush coming over him kicks Gold and whips him over into the barricade, running after and hitting a Diving Clothesline that sends them back to ringside.
Gunner picks Gold up and rolls him into the ring, and then rolls into the ring himself. He covers Gold, hooking the leg. .....1 .....2 ..Gold gets a shoulder in the air and forces Gunner off of him for the time being.
Gunner gets to his feet and stands a couple feet from where Gold is getting up. He grabs Gold by the hair and lifts him onto his shoulder, carries him to the corner and drops him onto the turnbuckle with a Snake Eyes! As Gold groggily comes from the corner, he is whipped into the ropes and met with a Buckshot! Gunner gets the cover as Ricky Moses and Billy Sandow hurry to the ring through the crowd! .....1 .....2 The two men jump the barricade. .....3!
Just as Moses is pulling Gunner off of Gold, Higgins' hand hits the mat for the three count! Gunner Hughes has won his first defense and remains undefeated! The two men though, the Northwest Express, don't let him go. They pick him up and proceed to take turns beating the hell out of him. He is passed back and forth, punch by punch, until he is hit with a huge Uppercut by Sandow.
Gold is to his feet by this time, and he has Ricky Moses go get both title belts. Ricky slides them into the ring and Gold takes the WBSW Championship. He looks closely at it, then proceeds to swing it into the skull of the champion. As Gunner lay flat on his back, sprawled across the mat, Gold looks down at him with a smirk. I kid you not, Steven Gold is a bad childhood away from being a God damned supervillain. Gold stands over Gunner and holds the InterGlobal championship high as he drops the WBSW championship onto Gunner's chest. Security and the medic staff are seen for the third time tonight as Gold leaves the building to a chorus of boos to end our program.
