Handler Name: Akrista, Kris, Aki.
How You Found Us: UWL
Wrestler Name: Akrista Walsh
Nicknames: "Suicide Girl", "Mistress of Punk", "Gray Angel"
Billed From: Boston, MA
Billed Height & Weight: 5'4", 132 lbs
Picture Base/Poser:
(It's me, so it shouldn't be taken already.)
Alignment: Neutral - She won't cheat, but she's got a bad attitude. Fans tend to be very divided, once they've seen a few of her matches. While talented, Akrista is not one for playing to the crowds.
Theme Music: "Nice N Sleazy" by The Stranglers
Entrance Style: Akrista comes out to the crunchy bass line of "Nice n Sleazy", wearing a gray trench coat over her ring attire, not through the main entrance, but moving amongst the fans. The lights have a gray filter, and a moderate amount of smoke fills the space. A look of cold determination on her face, she ignores everyone around her, cheering and booing. Placing one hand on the barrier, she vaults over, and makes her way to the ring edge. Jumping onto it, she flashes a quick smile to the crowd, but its the smile of a predator. Hopping over the top rope, she drops her trench coat to the mat and stretches, waiting for her opponent.
Wrestling gear: White and gray camouflage shorts, black short sleeve t-shirt with gray wings on the back, charcoal Frye's motorcycle boots and fingerless motorcycle gloves. A gray trench coat with black knotwork design intricately stitched on the back is Akrista's top layer.
Style: Aerial and Submissions (SAMBO based)
Move Set:
1: Rolling Leg bar (Opponent on the ground, Akrista charges, grabs their leg and jumps over them with their leg trapped between her arms, and locks in a standard leg bar. The speed simply helps weaken the leg.)
2: Hell's Gate (Undertaker's gogoplata)
3: Diving cross-body
4: Tornado DDT from the top turnbuckle
5: STF
6: Cobra Clutch Bulldog
7: Over-the-top rope Suicide Dive
8: Hanging Neck Breaker
9: Shining Wizard
10: Diving Spear (top rope)
Signature Moves:
Say Goodnight! (Tilt-a-whirl head scissors from the top rope)
Night Raid (Top rope hurricanrana)
6-1-7 (6-1-9)
Finishers:
Primary Finisher (Submission): Holy Trinity
Akrista kicks her opponent in the stomach so they are doubled over. She jumps up and locks in a triangle choke, so the opponent is still bent in half, with Akrista's back on the ground, putting pressure on the neck and spine.
Secondary Finisher: Darkness Falls (Acid Drop/Dudley Dog)
Backstory:
Akrista "Suicide Girl" Walsh grew up in South Boston, the daughter of a former welterweight boxing champ, Sean Walsh. Akrista's mom, a firefighter, died on the job when the girl was 10, and Sean took it upon himself to teach Akrista how to defend herself, especially since South Boston was not an easy place to live. Akrista quickly developed a passion for all the fighting arts, but especially professional wrestling, as it was clear most women wrestlers were in truth not athletic at all, and the young girl knew that she could change that if given a chance. While her father was skeptical at first, he let his daughter try out in some small-time local promotions, since he had contacts from his boxing days. Akrista made a name for herself as a daredevil, earning the nickname "Suicide Girl" in one championship match when she threw herself off a balcony onto her opponent, nearly breaking herself in two. However, Akrista was also keen on the technical side of wrestling, especially knowing her size would make it nearly impossible to ever be a "power" wrestler, and continued to work on her submissions and technique during her travels around the Northeast.
After wrestling in various promotions along the Eastern seaboard, and having ups and downs as most wrestlers do, Akrista is finding herself jaded. The downs have started piling up, and while Ms. Walsh doesn't fault her skills (or tries not to), it's becoming harder. While she was usually not the friendliest member of the roster, she has become even more withdrawn. She'll occasionally interact with the crew who work on the technical aspects of any promotion, and has friends and contacts within that fraternity among the federations she's been involved with, but it doesn't often extend to other wrestlers.
There is a special place of rage in Akrista's heart reserved for two groups of people; so-called "Divas" who's in-ring skills are minimal and flaunt their looks, since this diminishes her own accomplishments in the ring, as well as those of other female wrestlers, and Akrista will go out of her way to take these women down several notches. The other group is (mostly male) wrestlers who think that women have no place in the ring EXCEPT as the aforementioned "Divas". When she runs into such a guy, the results tend to be....bloody, to say the least.
Akrista does not apologize for her behavior, and will not back down from a fight. She respects a wrestler's skill, nothing more and nothing less. Even the biggest assholes in a fed can earn her respect if they fight well. Otherwise, Aki will probably not pay attention to her co-workers outside of the ring. Obviously this has earned her few friends, but it has earned her a great deal of respect, since she CAN back up her attitude.
